Some useful information was left out. I love what I learned from you but I had to do a lot of trial and error to know that the animals had to be BEHIND the layer you want to unite to the same shape/color. Now I cannot figure out how you are selecting ALL the layers and clicking UNITE and able to keep the various colors. When I do this, it turns everything to the front layer color of white. Please remember some of us even though using Illustrator a long time have not done everything you did here before. Please explain this for me and others. Thank you so much.
so simply put! thankyou this is great to understand
when I'm selecting the "send to back option" the shadow isn't moving to the inseam of the shape. I Tried to do each element manually yet the shadow isn't moving but the shape is just moving the back. What Should I do?

excuse me, did you just put the smallest object to back and its done just like that? but why when i try the same method it doesnt work at all
When I click "unite", it turns everything on the top layer to white. Any solution?
How’d you get your color palette like that?
I’ve imported Google Material color palette into Adobe Illustrator, you can get it from here - m1.material.io/resources/color-palettes.html Thanks for watching!
There's a faint textured paper effect over the whole design, how is this created?
I’ve done it in Photoshop. It’s the grain texture from the Filter Gallery.
@@AjinkyaMore thanks!
