    Last time I went to the range with the G29 my first 5 shot string at 7 yards looked like only two shots went in the 10 ring and I couldn't see where the other 3 went. When I brought the target back I realized that one shot cut the center and the other 4 went through ONE hole a fraction of an inch to the right ... It's a freakin' laser under 10 yards. After 1000 rounds, multiple blood blisters, and a little slide bite, I learned how to handle it. I have no need for the rest of my Glocks now ... they just sit there lonely and sad.

    I've owned a Glock M20 10mm since 1991 when it first came out. I've sent thousands of rounds downrange, from mild, to downright Hot loads. I've had it for 30 year's now, extremely reliable, and I have never had to replace any parts. I did have to replace the night sights a few time's, but that's it. A REAL BEAST!!! 👍👍

    There aren't many subcompact pistols that when loaded with full-power ammunition don't have much bullet drop at 100 yards, or have a good chance of stopping a hostile black bear. The G29 is one of those handguns.

    I carry the G29sf in the Idaho backcountry. I replaced the polygonal barrel with a Lone Wolf Stainless barrel, put a stiffer spring to better handle the recoil of the hard cast lead 200-220 grain loads by Double Tap ammunition. 10 plus one is a lot of back up power for big game. The G29 IMO is an awesome gun. Great review!

    Thanks for the review, I have been thinking about a Glock 20 for a while now and this video helps in my decision process.
    I always had a like for the 10mm, and passed up a couple Delta Elite's, when you could still buy them reasonably. I currently have a 19 and a 43, and they function as Glock's are expected to. 10mm seems to be slowly growing more popular of late.

    I picked a G29sf up last year and I have grown to love this firearm. It was my second 10mm (Justin Opinion's video on the Kimber 1911 10mm convinced me to try the Kimber and I love that gun too... after the break-in period.)and I qualified with them for my CCW. One of them paired with a J-frame, as a "get off me" gun, and you are extremely well armed. IMO

    Get a hold of Dimitrios... DPM recoil systems and ask him to make you a HEAVY DUTY rsa for your 29.
    I have one in my 30sf shoot 45super.. Big difference in felt recoil.

      I rather save money. 180gr 40s&w at 1020fps vs 1200fps on the 10mm. 180fps isnt exactly a huge gain

    Shooting 50 Rds of .38 Spc. out of my Ruger LCR with the Crimson Trace laser grips=pain and a sore hand afterward. 50rds out of my G29 with the Sig Elite Performance ammo = quite manageable with no pain afterward. I was leaning towards the G20, but I figured I'd just get a couple x-grips and a G20 mag and make it full size. Best of both worlds!

  • @elblancobasura
    @elblancobasura 7 років тому

    You can always put a drop in 10mm. barrel in that 30 as well. The 29 mags ought to fit up perfectly in the 30 too. You can also put a drop in 4.6" barrel 10mm. in the 29 (or 30) so you can get the better velocity of the 10mm. rather than getting .40 S&W velocity out of a 10mm. with that ammo cost, recoil and wear that you're getting with 10mm.

    When is up-close-and-personal, you draw with your gun in point directly at your attacker / enemy up close and personal. You will be shooting one-handed. First shot from holster one handed attacker will always be at pelvis, knowing that model 29 is going to rise when shooting. Next shot will be mid torso, 3rd shot head...10mm

    Def a potent gun. I think slightly overkill for EDC. . Perfect bear gun for northern country guides etc.I have a 30s and that’s a great man stopper, I use +p ammo and have the 13 round glock 21 mag. That will handle almost any threat

      Mr P If I had to pick I would keep your 40 Glock 23 with 9mm barrel. I got rid of my Glock 29 and I am keeping all my Glock 40 and 9mm handguns.
