Thanks Steve. Two 'nav' things that might be helpful. Press/hold the Cancel button to 'pause' the route, press again to start navigation again - not intuitive (and opposite of what is was a year or so ago). Also, doing a Kia Connect session would be good - one thing I love is being able to find places on the phone app and 'sending' them to the car at your convenience. They are there in the car when you start it and will stay in the previous searches list, can be 'saved', etc. But...Kia Connect is expensive - the highest option is $200/year!

I cam here to check the screen on the Forte, because I just noticed that mine doesn't fill up the entire screen. There's that black bar at the bottom of it that cuts off about a quarter of the screen. Is there a way in the screen to stretch it to where it fills up the entire screen, rather than just a portion of it?

Gaming console support would be great but there's no way to attach other devices to the screen. You'd have to change your iPhone name on your phone. Settings --> General --> About --> Name

You're welcome! I haven't come across an aftermarket screen that I really like yet but there are a ton of options out there. Phillips has some good aftermarket decks. Best bet is to check out an installer in your area though
Hi Steve, I have a 2021 Kia Forte Premium+ I bough from you guys over there @ Durham Kia. I know Kia's before 2021 had WIRELESS Android Auto and Car Play, but for some reason the 2021 Forte does not. Is there an update that can be applied?
Hey John, small world! How are you liking the Forte so far? So it's odd.. some of the lower trims have a slightly different screen that does offer wireless but these nicer, larger screens only have a wired connection. There's no update that can be applied because it's a different underlying technology. I did have someone comment on a video from another manufacturer recommending a device that can apparently stream wireless so I've ordered it and will give it a shot to see if it actually works!
Surprisingly not.. you can use the steering wheel toggles though. The ones that let you move between presets, if you do a longer press and hold up or down it'll act as a seek
Unfortunately not.. no HDMI/USB-C ports that would support that kind of connection. CarPlay and Android Auto don't support video playback yet when stationary either
If you have this screen as well it's most likely because there was a mid cycle screen update that pushed out a GUI change, so depending on when you bought or if it's been updated you can't get this old look back

You're welcome! Only way to do it is through Setup --> Sound --> Tone. There's the button just under the screen that says Setup that makes it a bit quicker to get to but there isn't a quick launch button unfortunately

Could be one of 3 reasons.. 1. Phone volume isn't turned up 2. Car volume isn't turned up 3. Notification volume for phones isn't turned up. Setup --> Sound

Haha, covered off here but under the settings screen you should see a button at the top that says "Beep"! Press that to turn it off
Its crazy the 10inch screen doesn't have the wireless android auto and 8inch has wired one. Is it fixed now or still the same? Someone please explain.

There is a bit of a bezel that wraps around the whole screen.. is yours larger than the one in this video?
