- Its offcially Red spring season BUT I decided to get out for some rainbow trout fishing. It surely didn't disappoint. Look for slow moving water or pocket. Simple setup, 8g float, weight, size 4 barbless hook with worm will get you these beauty fish! Make sure to check regulations before you go out. Vedder river/Chilliwack river.

Looks like a productive day out in the river! Nice fishing bud😊🐟🎣👍
Thank you! Tight lines 🎣
Nice video !
Great video! how have you been finding the fishing after the river washed out a couple months ago?
Thanks! Just exploring and coming across. Get out there!
Thanks :)
@@Go2fishingbc Thank you very mutch... have a nice Weekend.... see you….
Looking to get out this summer where were the locations. If you cant tell me i totally get it
Thanks for the video🙂 Will you do any red Chinook fishing on the Vedder?
Thanks! I have been fishing for reds lately. Landed one on Saturday!
Darn those is some nice trout is that Alison pool
Nope it’s lower river
@@Go2fishingbc oh ok did you happen to see eny reds being caught ?
Where abouts on the vedder is this?
Where on the vedder are some good spots for trout or where where you
Any where along the lower river. Look for side channels and pocket waters
@@Go2fishingbc ok thank you so much
No worries. There a lot of them right now through out the river! Good luck
Upper region of the vedder ??
Nope this is lower
What was the fly pattern for that third fish?
Stonefly nymph
@@Go2fishingbc neat thanks. I was getting them in March on a silver minnow pattern and was curious. I'm envious of wherever you were. The water level looks remarkably low. I practically need a scuba setup to get to my normal fishing spot.
@@klattson112 oh nice! Yeah just gotta look for side/back water. The river was about 2.6m when I went out. Found a nice stretch of water that was 3-4ft deep.
Do you ever get any Cutthroats while fishing for Rainbows there ?
Yup here and there. Definitely harder than rainbows for me
What's the min/max size for keeps on the vedder (for rainbows)
There no minimum or maximum. They must be hatchery tho
@@Go2fishingbc yeah I had a real nice hatch this last weekend but I couldent remember in the regs if there was a size restriction so I let it go. Thanks and Keep up the good content!
the title trout was a cuttie btw
It’s a rainbow. Just bit of blood
any reds seen?
Yup they are getting caught
@@Go2fishingbc Thanks! Really good video btw; maybe you will go out next week to try some reds?
I got one
@@Go2fishingbc on a soft bead or? thanks
@@bsdgffishtuna5186 cured prawn. Soft bead works great too
Doesn’t bait ban include worms?
There’s no bait ban when I fished
@@Go2fishingbc might want to read the regulations again. There’s no ‘when’, it’s all year. There is only ‘where’ which is all vedder river/canal.
@@Ifish24-7 you might want to re look the regs…bait ban is in effect may 1st to 31st. Always good to touch up on regs
@@Go2fishingbc maybe I’m understanding wrong, I read it as cutthroat release may 1-31. Damn convoluted rules.
