So at last a friend who was passing from Delhi for his rally in Rajasthan stopped by to let me test his @jeepindia Wrangler Rubicon. As I always felt it, this came out to be as top contender for what I want from a top notch 4x4 SUV. But as fate had it, Jeep India has made sure that no one buys it by pricing the spare parts around 10x to 15x more than an average off-roader like THAR while vehicle pricing is somehow digestible seeing it is a CKD import. Believe me or not, new THAR in itself is so much capable that only upgrade after that is Jeep Rubicon. I wish just the Rubicon sticker on the hood of a THAR does the work but knock knock "IT Doesn't Make It Wrangler Rubicon".

thar is copy of jeep cars, but the technology jeep has is all inhouse and decades of research and fine-tuning. it cannot be matched.
thar is way cheap and it cannot meet the costs of R&D and parts.

This Wrangler is definately a champion. I owned Thar CRDe (2018) and presently have Gurkha (2022). I am doing regular off roading practice with my vehicle at my place= terrain possible for me.
Now each vehicle has its own pros and cons. If its doing at par of your satisfications and capabilities then I think no need to change vehicle.
Dinesh, you are doing this video because( I think), you are not upto well satisfied with your both vehicles. Off course, Rubicon is great vehicle but isn't everybody's within financial limits.Also it has great off roading capabilities more than that of Thar ( new & old) and Gurkha. Here I must say that,you will increase your off roading capabilities with regular practice upto great extent and not only by changing vehicles frequently! Definitely vehicles does the great job in off roading but driver's capabilities, skills, maneuverability, toughness playes important role rather than that of a vehicle else vehicle changing practices.
Also the sentence, you stated initially is completely wrong. As stated, this off roading deals with skills, courage and drivabilities.
Off roading deals with above properties and not that of speed.

Nice video about jeep. But there are known issues of failure with FCA 2.0 engines outside india.thats why people prefer 3.6 pentastar engine. Next time pls do a video on maintenance costs

Compare this with Ford Bronco. I saw a video where this was beaten only by Ford Bronco but only by a thin margin. Both are beasts.
There is a 50-50 game between bronco and wrangler becoz Bronco have front independent axle due to which Rubicon have more suspension travel when sway bar get disconnected then it becomes monster. Bronco have advantage of more ground clearance and more breakover angle.

Low end torque of either of the 2.0 or 3.6L engines is unimpressive. It's not the engine's torque curve but the 4:1 transfer case instead that makes the 4L mode a very powerful tool to extract great torque even when crawling.
