@@BingusMaxit's for two reasons:
1. RL is on Unreal Engine 3, this is Unreal Engine 5.
2. RL is on Steam as well as Epic, I think this is the first step to phase out Steam support.
Dude wtf rocket league doesn't even have a ps5/current gen version of the game that's probably just 1 of many reasons why rocket league's ass anyway shoulda had racing a long time ago 🤡💀
Man, the car controls look eh. The popping up to the celling pops, instead of flows in any way. I gotta say, this looks like a racing game in Fortnite with rocket league skins, and that's about it. I hope it brings some Fortnite players into RL, but otherwise, I dont think this gives me a reason to install fortnite.
This is what the RL devs have spent 2+ years on, while the only updates to RL have been mid ass, overpriced bundles and shitty reskinned game modes. But people want to act like Epic isn't literally just flushing RL down the toilet at this point. Knew this shit would happen in 2019.

@@too_stoned_ There's no way the RL devs worked on this. It was made by the Fortnite staff, based off the quality of the racing. Unless Psyonix just didnt care and made it half assed.
@@spderwebjon sandman mentioned he’s talked or seen like 20-30 of the main rocket league developers that said rocket racing is what they’ve been working on. Idk how big the psyonics team is but regardless, they were pulled from rocket league to work on this pile of crap lol.

Yeah, I was wondering the same. It is really weird. This isn't a cart racing game. Not to mention the awkward position they are on the cars, so you'll have to see their back end all game.

This is a mode in fortnite bc they built it in UE5. As they improve the game mode and work on UE5 for RL it'll be added to RL automatically. Theyre making too much money on Fortnite to not include it as a game mode there so may as well roll it out early there. Plus, they can begin building hype for RL within the Fortnite community with this as they get ready for a big push into RL as they begin working on RL's UE5 merge. Expect a big focus on RL from Epic throughout 2024 as they begin to focus on their recently adopted child.
