As a fan of Ilayaraja, I am proud to see this analysis. Raja has done 'Ennullil MSV'' which showed his respects to his guru. Many people have analysed ilayaraja's music extensively but not MSV's. Finally we get to see this. Grateful.
Very well presented by Ramesh Vinayaam the various facets of MSVs music. Ramesh himself is extremely talented but underrated composer in TFM. We need more such programs from him.

Wonderful interpretation of MSVs creations.
Rarest of rare reviews about Mannars melodies. I am sure Mr. Ramesh vinayagam is SET to be the Most Correct Critic of our masters music.
I am not a critic of music, as I don't have even the basic knowledge on music ; rather I don't deserve to comment on the compositions of MSV; but neither I am a fan of any of the Music Directors , but has been a regular listener of great Global Music --of Baroque, Classical, Disco, Country, Waltz, heavy metal and Pop music. Most of the directors of Tamil, Hindi film industry of yester years and the present day including Ilaiayaraja and AR Rahman lift the tunes / beats from the albums of the geniuses like Jim Croce, Antonyn Dvorac-- New World Symphoney-- Allan Jackson and such other legends; but the tunes/ beats of MSV are still unique and could not be imitated; the present generation should listen to extensive genres of music to have the feel of uniqueness of the Creativity of MSV.
A long wait but well worth it!! I hope MMFA seeks the services of experts like Mr. Ramesh Vinayakam to document the genius of MSV for posterity. I am sure fans of MSV (like me) would be more than willing to assist in this process.

He has so many things to say, it is flooding this mind and making the entire thing very incoherent and self defeating. So it is just a bunch of "how great he was" which we know, without saying WHY. Although that was the entire point of this video. In comparison, Cello Shekar or G S Mani do excellent job of this.
How many of us are bothered about Komal Nishad or Kakali Nishada and such technical details? It goes right over most people's heads. The ones that can understand this don't need him to say it anyway. They'll know just listening. I can't believe that is such a great invention to use both, unless it is explained properly.
Plus the irritating habit of switching to English here and there at random - this disease afflicts a lot of speakers. Why not just speak in Tamil unless the audience is overseas or outside TN, then speak in English entirely?! In any case MSV fans are 99% Tamil.
There's no need for any one to certify MSG s talent.
