in the united states, it would appear that a diploma is almost always in refference to highschool, or the actual piece of paper given when granted a degree.

If you don't have any experience in that data science or something close to it, it may be difficult to convince the visa officers in your letter of Explanation why you are applying for the data science. They like to see progression.

The BSc course he did should not be the same as the diploma course applied for.
People with masters can apply for diploma...As far as they can explain that the diploma is important for their current jobs or business.

Yes..You can apply for diploma with only WAEC...and you can apply for pgwp after graduation.

If you have even masters, you can apply for diploma. Just make sure you apply for a course that Relates to your current work experience
