Kolmanskop - Ghost Town in the Namib desert Namibia

- Kolmanskop is a ghost town in the south of Namibia near the port city Lüderitz in the middle of the Namib desert. The settlement was founded at the beginning of the 19th century due to the presence of diamonds in the area. It was practically created in the middle of the desert, there was no water, no soil and also no rain - only sand, heat and sandstorms came regularly. Nevertheless, the city reached up to 400 inhabitants in its heyday. For a short time Kolmanskop was even considered the 'richest city in Africa', but after a little over 20 years diamond mining was stopped already and most of the residents left the town.
The city was then left to nature and the sand. These days it is very interesting to stroll through the houses - there are endless possibilities for photographers. Admission is required to visit the city - a visit outside of the official opening times is even more interesting. For this you can get a special permit in Lüderitz and thus visit the city before sunrise. And that's exactly what we did - but see for yourself.

Was für ein toller Ort, den Du bei klasse Licht super in Szene gesetzt hast. 🤘👏 Die Kameraführung ist 1A, das Editing sowieso. 0:16 Hammer Überblendung. Die Bildkomposition sieht klasse aus. Ist die Kegelbahn dort wirklich noch so gut in Takt oder war das irgendwo anders? Wieder eine großartige Leistung. LG, Michael
