I am 72 and hiked Salkantay five years ago. Not sure I could do it again. Absolutely loved it! Right now you are missing a gorgeous glacial lake just off the trail. I doubt I will ever be able to l get back to Peru or to have the endurance to deal with the Andes. So beautiful. Rewarding. In 79 I hiked the Inca trail. Wild. No guides anywhere back then. Mo villages. Backed my own grub, tent and gear. Most of the time I did not even see people. Utterly magnificent. Loved being up in the clouds. In 79 I saw thirty condors. Zero on my trip 5 years ago. Still amazing. This last time I hiked with my daughter who wanted to go because I had talked so much about it to her when she was young.
Thats quite an achievement at 67!! Jesus you're making us look weak dude! Haha, no, that's such an awesome story, thankyou! Gave us goosebumps reading that! Shame about the Condors though, we also didn't see any at Salkantay, we had to go to Colca Canyon to find them - aren't they magnificent!?
Been looking forward to day 2 😊. I’m not capable for this type of trek so for me it’s a way to experience this beautiful part of this country. Plus I love the humour,Maputo guys don’t take yourselves too seriously.
Sorry it took so long! Ah okay, im glad you enjoy the content and that we can show you areas that are more difficult to reach! Thanks for the feedback Kate! 🙌🏽

what's App called (Trekking guild )
That's the 'AllTrails' app, you can use it anywhere in the World.
"Solo"? Think you need to look up the dictionary definition of solo. 😉
Solo: without a guide, porter, donkey or agency to help us.👍🏽
Can only fit so much on a thumbnail mate. 😂
