Hello to Pilot Robert and Captain Blaz,,,I am 73 years old and an active fixed wing pilot...I watch you guys and Laugh my ass off with you Guys....Keep up your great videos...
Oh yeah W. I got this plane like this. I will leave it and try to do a good flight with it. It is fixed and ready for the second try, but Captain Blaž doesnt have time to filmed it. But we will. Soon. Be well my friend, Robert
Thank you pilot Robert and captain Blaz for the honest reviews of R.C. aircraft!. For good or bad. Glad you represent the rest of us amateur pilots who dream of being aircraft engineers on the side. You have the best show on UA-cam and I always look forward to your videos. Because of you I will fly my planes for the shear joy of flying!. Crash and burn or turn and burn doesn't matter just fly!. Best wishes from the mountains of Utah U.S.A.
Glad you guys share a passion for rescuing poorly cared for birds. I just picked up a super vintage Ace Whiz 40 from a younger guy that had no clue about the hobby or what to even do with the thing. His idea of storage was horrible. Got it home and spent a evening on it refreshing all of the servos and tossed a healthy OS 46LA on it and it's one of my favorite planes to fly now.
Yes Josh. Isnt that such a good feeling when you save the bird and give it a new life. Oh yeah... And we will make this baby to fly well. I have fixed it today and it is ready for the second try. I must do the perfect landing ;) stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Its a wonderful feeling! I still have a brand new Great Planes P-51 Sport Fighter to maiden yet as well.. Just waiting for the perfect weather for it. Which Im going to assume wont be for awhile as we are just getting into winter here in Minnesota (USA). Looking forward to seeing the P47 make another flight!
Hey R. We just had to get that baby in the air no matter what. And I will tell you that the bird is fixed and ready for the second flight. And it will be a good flight. We must do it so I can sleep in peace;) Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Hey Noel my friend. Thanks for stopping by. It was fun at the end but at the beginning it didnt look so good ;) I have fixed the baby today and prepared it for the second flight and I hope for the perfect flight. We must try. Must. And I want to do the perfect landing with the plane. Stay well and see you soon, Robert
Crazy flight my friends, it looked like the flaps were down during your flight and that's why it was sometimes nose heavy and other times tail heavy. A good flight anyway. Keep up the great work. I love your videos. Greetings from Greece.
Dionysios Kontakis yes it was very strange plane... we had problems with it from the beginning...nice to see that we are wathed all over to grece!!!! Thanks for stopping by my friend!!!
Hey D. Like you said. I had flaps down for avile. But then they were up and the bird was still so nervous. But it is fixed now and ready for the second try. We will good with this bird no matter what. We must. So be well my friend and we are happy that we have viewers even from Greece. Oh yeah... Big salute to Greece from Slovenia, Robert
HI guys, I know its an old video but from here I think your issue is the motor mount was installed wrong. It has the slight off center to the stbd but it is very obvious that it also has a downward mount that has you messed up. I think if you remounted it correctly your issues would disappear.. This is why it sometimes seems to be tail heavy and other times nose heavy and it explains why it wants to nose dive on takeoff and landing
Thanks N. Another friend from Canada. Oh yeah... I hope that someday we will visit your beautiful country. There is a lot of Slovenians living there. Great. Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Hey Robert, my grandfather was a mechanic of the P-47 and B-29 in WWII. He died at the old age of 95. He told me many stories of those ole birds. But anyway love the video. Yes that is the way many retract RC warbirds take off. Have Capt Blaz^ hold the tail run her up and release the tail. I think there are 2 square holes on the bottom of the fuse, that is the range of CG. Also, there is supposed to be a battery tray with Velcro straps. I believe the battery is sliding around. Fix 'er up and try again. Steve
I thought that the 'Tarheel Hal' was a Carolina Bird, but, after research it was actually based in Texas.www.lonestarflight.org/aircraft/republic-p-47-thunderbolt
Thanks Steve for informations. I must tell you that the bird is fixed and ready for the second flight. We must do the good flight with this baby no matter what. And we will. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Great that you never know what you can expect in your videos. That makes it so fantastic. Every disadvantage (breaking the propellor) has its advantage (high level entertainment thanks to your workaround). Good times bad times, that’s real life. Thank you friends! Oh I forgot: I also think it’s a little nose heavy in take-off, try adding a little weight at the tail?
Thanks Grahame. There was no other way. We had to get that baby in the air no matter what. Oh yeah... And I have fixed it today and prepared it for the second flight but the wind was just to strong. But we will do the second flight and it will be perfect. It must be ;) Cheers, Robert
Thanks Cliff. It all ended well and we were airborn no matter what. And the baby is fixed and ready for the second try. I will do the perfect landing with this even if I have to try a houndred times ;) Big salute to you my friend and see you soon, Robert
I love reading the comments before watching and knowing, the COG is questionable, a blade will break (prob a grass dive), the multitool will break, the brothers will make it work with two blades, and she will be airborne. Makes watching each of those happen that much better.
Thanks Joshua. We had to put that baby in the air no matter what. Even if we had to make a new propeller from the grass ;) The baby is fixed and ready for the second try. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Great videos guys! I have this plane myself for over 10 years without flying it! 😂 But I will fly it in the coming weeks, but what battery are you using? I do not have the manual for the plane so I don’t know if it should be 3s or 4s? Best regards from Sweden! ✈️🛫🛬🛩
Yes Georg. It didnt looked like that at the beginning but we were flying at the end. No matter what. And I have fixed it today and prepared it for the second try. We must fly well with this beautiful baby. And we will ;) I must do the perfect landing. Must. Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
I have the 1400mm Corsair. It's too nose heavy and needed the tail holding to take off. I have added spacers to the rear screws on the retracts so they are about 10 degrees further forwards and now it ground handles OK. Next, I need to make a battery tray as the slot in the nose is way too far forwards. I know for a fact the Zero is the same and, it seems, so is your P47. I wonder why FMS keeps making these two mistakes? Anyway, really funny video as always - thanks guys!
Hey Jake. We just had to get that baby airborn no matter what. And we did. Oh yeah... It wasnt perfect, but it was crazy and fun ;) Be well and see you soon, Robert
Now, Captain and Pilot, such an interesting and funny video! But this plane will certainly not be one of your favourite planes to fly with :-) Here in Bavaria we had yesterday and today shit weather conditions so I can not go flying today :-( Andy
Hey Andy. There was strong wind here today also, so we were grounded. I have fixed this plane today and prepared it for the second flight. I will fly good with this baby no matter what. I must. I have four propellers again, I will change travels and I will use smaller baterrie. I hope that will work. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Yes Frankie. And I will tell you that baby is fixed and ready for the second try. We must do a good flight no matter what. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend, Robert
Thanks Mike. Not perfect but good enough for that crazy flight. I have fixed it today and it is ready for the second try. I must do the good flight with this bird and the perfect landing no matter what. Oh yeah... Be well my friend. Cheers, Robert
Hey Jo. I have checked the CG and it is great. I have fixed it for the second flight, changed the travels but the wheels are glued in a way that they are bended to the back. I dont think that I will be able to do a normal takeoff with the wheels like that. But I will just push it on the second flight. I dont want to take the wheels out again. I will just ruin the plane completely if I do that. Cheers, Robert
hello i am from france and i have the same plane it s the first FMS version of this plane and i put a 4S 3300 not in the right battery hole but upper and forward to have a good CG this early version is underpowered so be careful greetings from FRANCE
Thanks G for the tip. What CG do you have. I found information 80-85mm from the LE of the wing. I dont have instruction manual so Iam searching in the dark here. I was using 3700 4S and it felt nose heavy. Big salute to France from Slovenia. See you soon, Robert

Yes John. USA give a lot of planes to my former country after the WWII. Close to my home there is DC3 Dakota by the road on display. Beautiful bird. And we have a war museum in Pivka where you can see a few USA planes. Thanks John for that information. I really didnt know that we had yours P 47s. Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Robert.! Your comment on being both tail and nose heavy at different times.. When watching I was wondering of the same.. Odd.. Hmm.. Could the battery be moving about? Maybe not, I must re look to see the compartment when you filmed.. And purposely breaking a prop????? What??? Was nervous upon Capt Blaz pushing it too!! But cheered upon being airborne.! And BTW, I was in deep morning sleep when you guys were doing this.!! (dreaming of your next vid)
MrCocg1 yes it was quite a chalange to get it airborne ;).... but we did it ;) it is a good thing that you dream of new videos my friend...stay tuned!!!
Hey Cliff. We had to get in the air no matter what. And the baby is fixed and ready for the second try. We will do a good flight with this bird. We must ;) Stay well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Hey O. Didnt know that. But they are using 6S pack and I think that becouse of that should have better performance. Oh yeah... Cheers, Robert ( I hope that I will test one someday )
Thanks Bob. We just cant make short video no matter what. even if we just turn on the camera it would take us at least ten minutes ;) Greetings to Canada, Robert
Please roll out some old carpet or get some old rubber conveyor belt ,,,give these beautiful planes a chance to clear the ground and get into the air ,,,cheers from the Kangaroos
Hey Keith, we could use someone to take good care of the runway, we just have such a hard time finding the time even for filming. So you are welcome ;) Cheers, Robert
I will try to get there it would be a really pleased to meet you both ,,You guys give so much to this RC hobby and your videos are also great entertainment ,,I salute you both,, cheers from the strange land so far away
Hey there my friends, thanks for the entertainment! you are lucky with the weather, we had windstorm today, but we had a big party on our runway. I am just uploading a special video (also crap video quality, but worth to watch)
Hey Attila. Thanks for stopping by. We had strong wind today so we were grounded. But the baby is fixed and ready for the second try. We must do a good flight with this plane no matter what. Oh yeah... Be well and see you soon, Robert

The machine guns were glued in backwords! But great flight with that 2 bladed prop.
Oh yeah W. I got this plane like this. I will leave it and try to do a good flight with it. It is fixed and ready for the second try, but Captain Blaž doesnt have time to filmed it. But we will. Soon. Be well my friend, Robert
What I can say about why I enjoy watching your Video's is because you show it's okay to make mistakes, experiment and still enjoy the Hobby!
Someone has to have noticed by now that the machine guns are backwards...
Thank you pilot Robert and captain Blaz for the honest reviews of R.C. aircraft!. For good or bad. Glad you represent the rest of us amateur pilots who dream of being aircraft engineers on the side.

Hehe, was a bit like from the movie "Flight of the Phoenix" . Well done to take it home in one (almost) piece..
Yes Georg. It didnt looked like that at the beginning but we were flying at the end. No matter what. And I have fixed it today and prepared it for the second try. Oh yeah Tim. Its not always perfect but we were airborn at the end. And the baby is fixed and ready for the second try. Cheers, Robert
hahaha on the close fly by... what was with this plane, nose heavy or tail heavy? something seemed off ... beautiful bird
Nice bit of improvisation.
Hey Jake. We just had to get that baby airborn no matter what. And we did. Oh yeah... It wasnt perfect, but it was crazy and fun ;) Be well and see you soon, Robert

i think 4 blades will give it more thrust which might stabilize it in the air, only 2 blades is like flying at half throttle or less.
Yes Frankie. And I will tell you that baby is fixed and ready for the second try. We must do a good flight no matter what. Oh yeah... Stay well my friend, Robert
Nice landing!
Thanks Mike. Not perfect but good enough for that crazy flight. I have fixed it today and it is ready for the second try. I must do the good flight with this bird and the perfect landing no matter what. Oh yeah... Be well my friend. Cheers, Robert
The A in Hal sounds like the A in cat

Oh yeah? Well happy birthday in five days from today my friend.

FMS used the prop from the 1400 on the new 1500.
Hey O. Didnt know that. But they are using 6S pack and I think that becouse of that should have better performance. Oh yeah... Cheers, Robert ( I hope that I will test one someday )
