@ketul soni, sometimes you need to reset some of the settings to get this to work. Look under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
@Paul Dugar, what version of iOS are you running? 6 or 7?
Another way you can delete apps is to press and hold on an app. This should bring up the option to delete apps as well.
One other thing you can try is to reset your settings. Look under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Sometimes things get stuck.
I was having difficulty deleting one specific app from my iPad Mini- I couldn't just delete it from the main screen with just the Tap and Wiggle because my iPad froze every single time. I watched your video and although it was informative, unfortunately didn't help me with my issue. Scrolling down the comments though, I saw you helping an iOS 9 user with their problem in how to delete apps from the Settings and I tried it with my iPad Mini and found it worked like a charm. Thanks for posting the video though.
+Alexandria Hill you're so welcome! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Appreciate it!
Thanks for your valuable input, Christian. I really appreciate it, and I'll follow your instruction.
Edgard Escalante anytime! Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and comment. Appreciate it!
Christian, thank you for such a good advise. I been trying to delete three programs on my IPAD (NFL, CSR Classic, and ESPN Live) for a while now and couldn't seem to do it. I've tried to use the same suggestions that you gave and it still not doing so and still have the architect box with three circles in it. Do you have any other recommendations on how I may be able to delete these apps. Please let me know.
This video gives off 2012 vibes I love it so much life was simple back then
It was made in 2012 so maybe that’s why
@kayden jackson, you might need to reset your settings. Look under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Sometimes things get stuck.
@MrMattrocksification, no. I would need a category to focus on, since apps are subjective. Was there an area you were interested in?
@Jack Herron, no. Some of the stock apps cannot be removed. What I do with those is move them to a folder called Unused and leave them there.
Hi Christian! That's a great tuturial on how to delete apps. I have a problem though. Despite deleting the apps I no longer want, they are automatically reinstalled whenever I connect my iPad to computer or whenever an Apple update is performed. This is really puzzling. Could you please suggest any possible solution? I really appreciate your valuable time to share any input. Have a great day.
Edgard2006 when you sync your device, make sure you don't have those apps checked to reinstall them when iTunes syncs with your device. I think that might be what is happening here.
@MrMattrocksification, I'm loving iOS 7 too. Lots of nice features - and a good software update.
Thanks so much!!! I had a glitched app on my phone and I couldn't figure out how to delete it and this video helped sooo much!!!
Hannah Meow glad to help you! Thanks for watching and feel free to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

I tried many times to delete apps off my iPad and I couldn’t.......until I found this video thank you for sharing
@Aldo Ramirez, you're very welcome! Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.
@Marina khan, have you tried just pressing and holding on one of the apps until they jiggle? At this point, you should have an X to delete them.
@SharkLossy, which app are you trying to delete? Need more info.
@Hannah Carey, do they reappear when you sync your device? If so, you need to remove them from the apps section within iTunes.
@MrMattrocksification, it's one of my favorite features too - unless you have too many folders. Then I have to use the search box to find them!
Doesn't work for me, still no delete option
@@manicfred1450 what version of iOS are you using? They are different from version to version. Look under Settings > General > Storage. Can you swipe across to delete?
@@ChristianKarasiewicz I am up dating now to see if it makes a difference. Had it bought for me years ago, fist and last 5hing Apple for me.🙏
thank you very much. this just resolved my issue with the error "waiting" and doesn't even want to reinstall.
@DLBULL123, did you turn on any restrictions - like the ability to delete apps? Look under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
@David Timmerman, yes, that is one way. If you have a lot of apps though, it requires going through each folder you have set up. @Marina knah, what app are you trying to delete? Some apps cannot be deleted. For example, Safari, Stocks, App Store, Apple Maps.
Thank you soooo much u don't understand how much this helped me!!!! Thanks again
+Alyssa Thomas so glad this worked for you. I tend to prefer this option because I can see how much space each app takes up.
Thanks so much! One of my apps were glitches out! And I reinstalled it! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!
GGLover101 you're so welcome! I know how frustrating it can be to delete apps sometimes. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much! I accidentally downloaded a scam app and it was not on my home screen. So as you would probably know, I panicked a lot. I looked at about 50 different videos on how to delete the app then I found your video. I thought it wouldn't work because it's such an old version of iPadOS but it actually worked thank you so much!
You’re so welcome! Happy to help.
Omg Thank you so much! I am still learning how to use my ipad mini. This video was super helpful.

@Kat Vela, can you press and hold on an icon to get them to jiggle? At this point, you should have an X where you can delete them. Also, which apps are you trying to delete? Some apps cannot be deleted.
@Andis Jones, what app are you trying to delete? Some apps cannot be deleted. For example, Apple Maps, Mail, Safari, Stocks, Weather.
@Simon Giordano, there isn't a way to delete apps you have purchased that are in iCloud. Everything you purchase through iTunes is available there, regardless of if it is installed or not.
@SharkLossy, glad to hear!

Glad to hear missnicolemg! Thanks for watching.
hey there thx for this and I have a question for you is there anyway to delete the all documents on the ipod including the default document? That and how would I by able to get rid of default albums that pre downloaded I had a U2 album I tried to get of to get enough space for my music only So I'm trying to get rid of default items, documents, apps, and albums.
Korean For hire, you can delete that by going to music and swiping. As for default apps, those can't be deleted. i.e. Stocks, Clock, etc. I usually put those in a folder and title it unused or something along those lines.
thanks
Deleting/uninstalling apps on Android couldn't be easier. Thanks a lot
Thanks hope it works
thank u so much!! my iPhone had a touch problem and i needed to delete some apps. this works

Is there also a way to delete the original UA-cam? I already have the newer app for iPad 2 and I don't need thee resident UA-cam app anymore since it won't work anymore, thank you.
+JDvorak2009 what version of iOS are you running? I'm running iOS 9 on an iPad 3 and only have the new UA-cam app. If it's the old one I'm thinking of back from iPad 1, there isn't a way to delete it. You have to hide it. I typically create a folder labeled unused apps and stash them there.
So easy thank you!
You're welcome Takawi Peters. Glad you found this tutorial helpful for iOS!
thank you very much it helped me !
Norma Ocampo, you're welcome!
Can you show me how to make apps look like they have never been downloaded before? i do not like the little cloud next to the app on the app store after
erik delacruz, that's not something you can change. If the app is on your device, you won't see the cloud icon. If the app isn't on your device it will always show the cloud icon on it. This way you know it isn't on your device.
Christian what I pad are u using because it looks like u have a iPad Air and also I am having trouble with mine I can't find my usage
Hi. I'm using an iPad 3. If you're running a newer version of iOS, such as iOS 10, look under settings, general, storage and iCloud usage and under manage storage.
@Rafel Ahmed, there are a few ways to delete apps. One, press and hold on the app. It should jiggle and give you an X.
Two, follow the instructions in this video. If you don't get this option, make sure you're running the latest version of iOS.
Note: some apps cannot be deleted.
@Slickskelm, you're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Thank u soooo much it helped a lot

I allways was able to delete my aps on the settings way and normal way but now it just shakes and dosent show the x or the delete sighn plz help
Hi thanks but in setting/general/ I. Do not have "usage" as an option. I am running the latest iOS on my iPad. Is there an option to have the "usage" icon?
Take a look at Storage and iCloud Usage under Settings and then General. There is a manage storage option which allows you to access it.
@lOvErS19941, what app are you trying to delete? Not all apps can be deleted. Ex: Apple Maps, Mail, Safari, iBooks, etc.
It really helps thank you
Bruh this gives me so much nostalgia on the first gen iPad
The first iPad was groundbreaking!
Thx for the help because when I held my finger on the app and clicked the delete button the iPad would freez and leave the app there thx you helped a lot! 👍😃😀😄👾🎮👍
+Jackie Roxas glad to hear! That's interesting that your iPad would freeze when you pressed the delete button. Try restarting your device (hold the home button and power button until the Apple logo appears). Also try freeing up some space. It sounds like you might not have enough available storage and your device is struggling.
Thanks for helping !
Anytime matt kegeris. Glad you found the video helpful!

+Maddie Parkes is your iPad jailbroken? The first option is to press and hold on an app - they start to jiggle. Press the X on the app. It's not this app is it? itunes.apple.com/us/app/icracker/id333176657?mt=8&at=10l9AC&ct=socialchefs
Hi christian
thank you for the video, but i have an issue - whn i try to delete the app. like any iphone or ipad we get the "X" sign on the app. which helps you to delete that particular app. but strangely on my ipad i dont get that option, do you have any idea who can i solve this issue-
thanks again for your help
Kailash Poojary look under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This should fix your issue.
Thank you

You're welcome! Thank you for watching. Should you have additional questions, don't hesitate to comment on the videos.
Christian Karasiewicz Ok i sub and like
Thank you!
@M3L1NK0, you should be able to delete pages. If it doesn't let you delete it as I described in the video, can you go to your homescreen and press and hold on the app so that it jiggles? You should then have an X where you can remove the app from your device.
thank you this was very helpful
Glad you found the video helpful Rosemarie Chow. If you have any other questions on using your iOS device, let me know. Happy to answer them.
Thank you, it helped me :)
bostjan kosir, you're very welcome!
@DLBULL123, if you cannot delete it through the Settings menu (it should work), you can also press and hold on the app on your device. This will get the apps to jiggle. You can then press the "X" key and it will delete them.
Omg thanks so much your the best i almost got in so much trouble

Hi there..I've already deleted the app in the USAGE list. However I still see it in the list of purchased apps in apps store. Can it also be deleted there?
Thank you in advance...
raymond todirijo, no. Anything you buy on iTunes will show up in your list of purchased apps. It cannot be deleted from your purchase history. The only thing you can do is delete it from your device if you have installed it.
Thanks u

Anytime Benjie Sumatra!
Hello Christian. I know how to delete apps from the device (iPod, iPad)... I have a Android device as well and with Android, I can delete the apps from the "store" so they don't show up under "purchased" anymore. I hope you understand what I mean. How to I remove apps that I installed in the past that I no longer use from that directory : purchased, not installed on your device. Thank you for you help in this matter.
Michel Nault, try these instructions. support.apple.com/en-us/HT201322
thank u bro
Thank you for this. But I don't find the usage button
If you're running a newer version of iOS, look under Storage, General, and then Storage and iCloud Usage. From there, you will see a manage storage option where you can see the apps you have installed and the amount of space they're taking up.
Thank you
Ace kamal, try holding the power button and home button until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears.
Christian Karasiewicz
Christian Karasiewicz I done that and tried to delete a app still wasn't working so this is very useful
Dragon Lord what app are you trying to delete? Some apps cannot be deleted. Also, are there restrictions on the phone? Those also limit what you can do.
Christian Karasiewicz regular ones but whenever I try my phone freezes
Which apps specifically?
As far as your phone freezing, deleting apps and your phone freezing don't have anything to do with one another. It sounds like you might want to take your phone into an Apple Store and have them take a look at it.
thanks for this by the way
Thx this was very helpful
Sick Müsic you’re very welcome. Thanks for watching.
@votaw1, if you have an app that charges you a monthly fee, you need to go through their website in order to cancel it.
