It can be really hard to find a lane in formats where four color soups are very possible. People often just take the best card of overall power. I do think there comes a point in your draft where you have to stick to your guns and start forcing. Generally at the beginning of pack 3.
The last few drafts I've done have felt like I just couldn't find a lane also. I've managed to squeak out 4 wins with the deck I'm on now but it's three colors, the shuffler seems to want to give me mostly cards I don't have the mana for and if it weren't for sheer luck I wouldn't have any wins at all. Like walking on egg shells. LOL
Pack 2 p2 I think you could make an argument for the fetch as well. Straddling green/red/black. Worth the slot in my opinion. Since your cards say red green was your strongest cards. Splash of black would have been easier that way and slice white
Good content by the way I also did poorly with that card and almost attacked myself out but died with three cards left in my deck I took your advice and went green black but I threw that card in not knowing you didn't like it and I found out why LOL
nummy is such an excellent drafter he drafted 3 decks at once
