the devs did NOT have to go this far just to make a cutscene for refunding a level tower that cost 10k coins, but its pretty cool that they made one

You can get the tower for free when you reach lvl 150.
After the update was released, you need 10k coins to get merc base. After some time, it got changed to being free.
