The thing with mercenary base is that it is meant to be extremely strategic. if you airdrop in the right area, with the right units, and you micro the units efficiently, you get exactly the units you need. for example say you only want two medics. in that case, just micro the mercenary base that has the medic. you mainly want a few rushers and a huge swarm of riflemen because i swear the stacked riflemen were doing at least engineer damage when they kept stacking. basically elite's idea of the optimal loadout for the mercenary is not the only kind, but you can indeed bring farm and other towers, but mainly a tower to stall, say jester. if you have a loadout that can stall for a huge amount of time, allowing the rifle men to stack, you can have rushers to stun some quick enemies, medic to heal the rushers, riflemen to dish out the actualy damage, and maybe even grenadiar to have some decent crowd control so this tower IS better than pursuit in some ways, but it has to be used extremely strategically. Do not use this tower if you cannot think far ahead of time, because using mercenary base like a mil base would backfire

Mercenary base was exactly what i needed for providing support to my unit spam loadout (Necromancer, Cowboy, Merc Base, Elf Camp, Farm) Intended for duo loadout, Cowboy goes early while teammate farms, you farm while teammate deals with mid game, get lots of rushers, medics, and you can spam necromancer ability to get powerful units that are likely defended by medic.
Tips: - You need a good strategy for it to work -Put it in the end of the path -You can put 3 men base, and it has 3 rows -Get atleast 2 medics -If you are focussing on the grenaider, its good for hoards -Get rifleman and shield if focussing on high health boss enemies
The thing i love moat about this tower is that it adds more strategy in the game. Instead of braindead accel spam, an even more powerful strat is using mercenary, but you must be strategic with it.
So a fact about this is, the queue is probably more strategic than you think. it’s not just a decorative effect like jester. if you place medic at the bottom queue, it will go in the back of the spawned mercenaries.
well to be fair getting to level 150 is way easier than getting accel and engineer. When I got engineer I was already at level 250 and it’s nice to have a tower that’s strong but requires strategy

I found my new favorite loadout. Farm, DJ, Commander, Accelerator, and Mercenary Base. So basically, in late game, a max Mercenary Base can give a 20% damage boost. And when you think about it, this can lead to Ranger dealing way more damage or Accel getting more DPS. I tried this in a fallen game, set all of my unit quque to Riot Guard, used Airdrop right at Fallen King, and i got him to the point where he had to use his shield. And with the 20% damage buff, accel deals 60 damage. Which gives accel probably more than 400 DPS (without commander chain)
@@enderturtlegaming7194 No, have you checked the Wiki? Accelerator has 281 DPS with no buffs due to firerate buff. Accelerator has a firerate of 0.208 due to firerate bug, minus 55%, equals 0.936. So that means, Accel can reach 600 DPS Mb if i did the math wrong.

Okay, so, I’ve figured out that it can be really strong because field medic, will also buff any other troops, elf camp, crook, necromancer, and mil base, which you guessed, very good if you manage to have a buffed strong summon like a rail tank, big elf, executioner, or even a tommy crook.
You can solo molten, I did it on Fungi Island (no supports) and it was literally shredding mid game, killed the molten boss in about one fourth of the map length. INSANE
Fun fact, if you played the update as soon as it dropped, you would have to buy the tower for 10k coins. ALSO, commander’s ability for first part of the update cost 300$ to use.
You can put medic in the back by selecting medic at the last row, also rioter is OP with medic. It almost made molten boss at HALF HP, and for me to fix the problem with farm i dont bring commander. really gud

Pretty good tested it in hardcore like 20 minutes after release and on fallen wave 37 on fallen 12 on hc cause balloons sometimes if your unlucky wave 10 on hc
the mercenary takes alot of strategy to use, in my case i was playing with some friends in the chessboard map and we dint try to plan anything at all, until we saw the max level soldier range, we were able to stacks alot of them in 1 area which was still far far away from the entrance so the stack was insanely strong, so strong where it was spawn killing them
Just in duo, mercenary base ONLY managed to beat the boss (the units DO die even with field medic). Stacking up riflemen + swapping to rioters once boss comes out makes for an easy duo fallen. The stacked riflemen literally demolished the 2 necromancer bosses in like a couple seconds, they didnt even get to spawn in stuff.
The medics also work on units like crook boss goons and most likely elf camp tho not sure but 100% works on crooks so you could combo will with golden crook boss

well this is the first time you can solo fallen with a “support tower” My take on this tower is that it’s extremely op if you can analyze the situation you’re in for example if there’s a massive crowd get 3-5 grenadiers to send those back to jesus. Or If you need basic dps just get some rifles Or if you need boss damage get rioters This tower can skill issue accel if used correct.
Dude this tower, i actually love it, because i literally reached 200+ levels between December and January by playing addicted TDS, i mean yeah it's so cool i never give up whenever i lose in game, i keep going until i notice that i'm actually gaining exp.

I think that the main problem with the tower is how restricting it is in your loadout when playing solos. I tried speedrunning molten with it. I brought farm, glad, mercenary base, accel, and DJ. The mercenary base was good but I do think that the ability is slightly annoying because paying 2,500 dollars to get an ability that is worse than accelerators which you would probably get before the ability is unlocked anyways. Lesson that I learned? Just use commander and not the mercenary base next time. In multiplayer it's really good though. Easy mid-high A tier.

Also the timers aren’t glitched there’s a limit on how many can spawn hence why you can unlock more slots, the timer ticks down and if it hits zero and one is still on the map a second won’t spawn until it dies I think
My problem is with the fluid max placement limit. If you have 4 players and only 1 has mercenary base, you can only place one. It should just be a shared cap of 3 or four.
I have noticed something with tds, you know where you go to see the maps you have completed and it has the beginners mode symbol molten mode symbol and fallen mode symbol to show what maps you have completed different game modes on, well the golden mode symbols is now there, is this what I think it is?
I recommend span shielders they can do thousands of damage mid to late loadout is dj farm warden mercanary base and trapper put the warden at front farm at any where dj to least the spending the of mercanary base get it to level 6 can to do up too a lot of dps you can do 15k dps! with the help of the max riot shielder hope this help elite and nice content

This tower is op if you know how to play with a really important shit, time. Money management,trail distance, mercenary speed, stall. The tower literally yells at you to planificate something ahead for it to be effective, things like 2 of your bases are rifle men/grandies, in whatever order, but the last is 2 riots 1 medic in that specific order so the medic comes out last and the rioters cover up the rest of the units until the medic arrives. This tower is prolly the best summoning tower if the one using it knows how to minmax his time to the fullest
basically the tower shows whether the player is lazy. It’s very strong, IF you can actually sit through the game and not go afk the second fallen king spawns

I was thinking of using this in my set up. My support set up is farm, military base, commander, DJ and, crook boss. What would I replace for it?
its funny because before you did this video, i tested it and used the EXACT same loadout as you LOL
the new tower "mercenary base" is so powerful, you spawn camp it when you select them all into riot shield and some medics
the shield prevents one-shots, which basically doubles the unit's HP
There also was a damage buff for the og cowboy. At his last upgrade, he would get an ability that gave him a damage buff
That has nothing to do with what Elite said. The mercenary base gives a dmg base to the towers around it and not to itself.

I think that the main problem with the tower is how restricting it is in your loadout when playing solos. I tried speedrunning molten with it. I brought farm, glad, mercenary base, accel, and DJ. The mercenary base was good but I do think that the ability is slightly annoying because paying 2,500 dollars to get an ability that is worse than accelerators which you would probably get before the ability is unlocked anyways. Lesson that I learned? Just use commander and not the mercenary base next time. In multiplayer it's really good though. Easy mid-high A tier.

wow i did not expect that this tower has a damage buff, maybe it could be good for buffing gold minis since it give atleast an extra damage or 2 and becouse minis shoot fast it will affect it a lot
Honestly, I’ve added it to my solo fallen loadout (gcowboy, gmini, dj, commander and before turret) and it’s pretty good
Also the timers aren’t glitched there’s a limit on how many can spawn hence why you can unlock more slots, the timer ticks down and if it hits zero and one is still on the map a second won’t spawn until it dies I think
My problem is with the fluid max placement limit. If you have 4 players and only 1 has mercenary base, you can only place one. It should just be a shared cap of 3 or four.
I have noticed something with tds, you know where you go to see the maps you have completed and it has the beginners mode symbol molten mode symbol and fallen mode symbol to show what maps you have completed different game modes on, well the golden mode symbols is now there, is this what I think it is?

you used the perfect map for mercenary base though, it reachs a angle that goes outwards instead of inwards, means you have more space to use.
another good map for merc base is fungi island or honey valley, both maps are good as units spawned can stack (unless it’s riot guard)
Honestly 10/10 tested it with 2 other spawner mili base and elf camp and it can solo fallen plus farm no other towers though.
I recommend span shielders they can do thousands of damage mid to late loadout is dj farm warden mercanary base and trapper put the warden at front farm at any where dj to least the spending the of mercanary base get it to level 6 can to do up too a lot of dps you can do 15k dps! with the help of the max riot shielder hope this help elite and nice content
for me this tower is really really good when u know how to use it because this tower can beat molten mode with 1 base like most of towers cant kill molten mode with only 1 tower the tactic is importnant if u are using this tower

This tower is op if you know how to play with a really important shit, time.
Money management,trail distance, mercenary speed, stall. The tower literally yells at you to planificate something ahead for it to be effective, things like 2 of your bases are rifle men/grandies, in whatever order, but the last is 2 riots 1 medic in that specific order so the medic comes out last and the rioters cover up the rest of the units until the medic arrives. This tower is prolly the best summoning tower if the one using it knows how to minmax his time to the fullest
basically the tower shows whether the player is lazy. It’s very strong, IF you can actually sit through the game and not go afk the second fallen king spawns
3:11 I think it may be a roblox issue. Many games face this kind of bug because of how broken the “wait” line of code is. It really matters how fast you load in the game to determine how accurate it is. Or idk I ain’t a Lua coder just a python one but this is my best guess.
When I first joined in tds nothing was loading only a faceless character in the middle of my screen . A few hours later I got the base 👌
Crook boss got "nerfed" since its broken, it doesnt spawn upgraded units anymore and that needs a fix aswell.

I wasted 10k coins instead of saving 10k more to get a golden crate, and it’s worth it it can probably solo fallen but for sure molten
