yup. i remember the Pop Disaster Tour in 2002 was the proving ground that their shows are still worth going to. while Blink-182 was the main event then, Green Day just proved that you can experience the fervor of a punk rock show (more specifically the 924 Gilman Street venue's vibes) when they ascend the stage

Great review and totally agree. Words like 'wow' and 'awesome' have been said multiple times about this show. It was my first time seeing them (I'm 53), and my 20 year old son came too. He doesn't think he'll see them again purely because he can't see them beating this one. Someone who attended 2 other times this tour said Wembley was something else. I wouldn't be surprised if years from now critics are calling this show one of the greatest ever - not just of this band. I had such an amazing time and am still on a high from it as I write this 5 days afterwards. I said after about 6 songs that we'd already got our money's worth. We feel privileged and special to have been there.

It was such an incredible show. I only really knew the American Idiot album when I went, but due to that concert, I fell in love with green day. And rewatching videos of the concert, it's strange how songs I didn't really recognise at the time suddenly became clearer in my memory after I had familiarised myself with the song. It was such an awesome concert, easily the best I've been to. Would love to see them again, although not sure how they could pull off another "greatest hits" tour after the Saviours Tour.

Your review sums up exactly how I felt after seeing them in Dublin. To hear American Idiot in full, was an almost indescribable experience. It was the first punk/rock album I listened to and from that went on to get into heavier and heavier music but American Idiot will always be that album that put me on the path of rock and metal music. Dookie was amazing too but the nostalgia I have for American Idiot is just measurable. Letterbomb is also my absolute favourite Green Day song, it is just an absolutely certified banger.

I was supoosed to see them in 2017 but they pulled out last minute, so needless to say, when I heard they were playing Bellahouston Park, I just had to go! They got a fan onstage to play Dilemma with them, as well as the fan onstage during Know Your Enemy, which was fantastic! And the fact they did Dookie and American Idiot all the way through was just mind blowing! The set dressing with the mushroom cloud and the hand grenade was gorgeous and was complimented very nicely by the pyro. Even managed to catch some of the confetti shot out during St. Jimmy. This was well worth the seven year wait, finally got to heal my inner fourteen year old. Thank you Green Day for giving me the chance to live the memory I missed out on years ago!

I remember Green day touring proper small scene venues before along with the Dookie album they was put on the road opening for Die Toten Hosen. So the german bands huge pull combined with MTV & Viva propelled them to have the same pull just international. So conquering Europe had to do with good management and booking work too, not just the Band being stardom material. But like Nirvana they turned from proper Underground into everybodies darling within a year or so.
Must be such a deep game changer on the whole range of that magnitute of Experience.

I saw them during a festival for the first time last year, and they blew me away. They sounded so badass live, and while the only song i really knew was holiday (since our pep band plays that song) as well as 21 guns, it was still the most epic thing id ever been to, and Jesus of Suburbia hearing that song for the first time, and live at that also blew me away. Like they went on for 9 minutes with no breaks? That shit was so insane. After that i ended up becoming a really big fan and did a lot of deep dives into their discography, and a bunch of videos of the guys fooling around. I saw them again September this year, so it was awesome to sing along to most of the lyrics now that i knew them.. though it was also freaking September so it gave literal meaning to Wake Me Up When September Ends... so it was extra cathartic and meaningful just because of the time,.. and boy was it a hell of a time. Everyone was singing along to that song, and i cried a little... I also lost my shit when Tre came out on stage in that robe prancing and singing all by myself, that was so funny... thiugh also getting to hear songs like Letterbomb, Minority, Welcome to Paradise, and man i didnt expect to become so emotionally attached to Whatsername but man it hit hard, not just sounding good live, but i ended up listening to that song on repeat the whole way home, and the rest of the next week... I think it just resonated with my feelings of having to leave behind the adreneline and magical, harmonious world of the concert atmosphere to get back to the uneventful, reality we live in. The regrets were so useless in my mind, though i did end up recording a piano cover for it, and attempted singing, which really helped me get over the post-concert depression. Though man, i think im never gonna be able to go to a concert that will ever top this one... i honestly wish i could have seen the milton keynes one.. the holiday live performance from bullet and a bible goes hard.... but the concert i went to for saviors tour was the best i went to, and i doubt there will be one better than that...

I went to the show in Glasgow at Bellahouston Park. Best day of my life!
My first ever international trip outside of Sweden. I am so happy I made the trip🥰
I've seen them twice before in Gothenburg and Stockholm back in 2017 during RevRad tour.
Wanted to see them again in 2022 but I listened to someone elses advice about keeping my money (so glad that that person is no longer a big part of my life!) + that I also needed to work.
I can definitely say that Bellahouston Park was so much more amazing than any other concert I've ever been to! I was not center of stage but I was all the way to the left and at barricade amongst 35000 people and it was so cool! And I got a pick from a guy named Sam in their crew (he saw my sign) during Minority😭
I'd do it all over again if I could. The trip left me broke. But, anything for my SAVIORS❣
Next year they've kept me alive for a decade and I couldn't be more thankful😭❤‍🩹

I was OBSESSED with them especially after American Idiot dropped (I think I was like 12 years old at the time) and finally got my chance to see them last weekend in Toronto on this tour. Hearing the album front to back along with several other hits was AMAZING. I've been to hundreds of shows (I'm into metalcore/deathcore) and I don't think anything comes close to this. It kicked ASS.

    I WAS THERE!
First Green Day concert I’ve ever been to, and my daughters first ever concert.
Got into Green Day when American Idiot came out, and I was about 12 years old. I had obviously heard other songs like Longview, Basket Case, but never really thought about it too much being only very young.
It sounds cliche, but American Idiot really did change music for me forever, the way I listened and sought out new music, and my tastes for rock and punk music going forward.
It was an amazing time and my daughter cried so much with excitement when they came out on stage (I also started crying 😂) a beautiful moment I will never forget.
