I would love to see a stryfe mod. I know that a lot of people could greatly benefit it. I would like it if you talked about price ranges because I haven't seen other UA-camrs even touch that topic. Thanks for the content!
Definitely agree with "less is more" for soldering motor tabs. While the board is incredibly easy to solder it is also a lot harder to desolder than the regular wires on tabs.
Real Talk: I'm not great at soldering. I used one of these to complete my first stryfe build, without the JST connectors, because I didn't know that was an option yet. I just used 22 gauge wire since I didn't have the JST connector available. Worked LIKE A CHARM. I was even able to integrate a basic noise-only LiPO alarm next to the stock switch using a 2s balance connector extension wire. There was just so much room near the switch now, and it cut down on the space taken up in the battery tray so I wouldn't need an expanded battery door. (I used the 2s 950 Graphene that recommended in the video.) Not bad for a first build by someone who had never done a LiPO rewire before. If you're new, and you've never done this kind of wiring before? GOD it makes it so EASY. I HIGHLY recommend it.
I'm going to try and LiPO rewire a Rival Charger the normal way this week, mostly to see if I've gotten good enough now to do it. But any time I've got the chance to just use a MOSFET board, I'm just going to use the MOSFET board. It's simple, it's easy, it requires less shell cutting, and it simplifies the world out of the wiring. And if you just XT-60 the Switch, couldn't you make a single Stryfe completely modular, swapping out MOSFET board flywheel cages for whatever game type you're going to?
I think I'll keep doing a full rewire for stryfes, since the high amp switches feel so much better than the stock ones, and they're easy to mount due to the 3d printed mount plates. For most other things I think I'll start using a mosfet
Can’t eight to see what you make in the future I wish I could work with you I’m an electrical student at Pittsburgh technical college and you are the reason I got into nerf guns I hope I can play a bike with you and my stryfes one day
Hey Luke! I was wondering if you could make a rapidstrike mod guide. I'm interested in modding one, but I haven't seen a guide that looks very recent. I figure that all of your guides seem pretty clear, so I thought you'd be the person to ask
There's nothing new about modding an RS compared to 5+ year old guides really- it's pretty much identical to modding any flywheel blaster with the caveat of being able to upgrade the pusher motor if you want to in order to get a higher RoF, but that too is the same advice you will see in the 'old' mod guides. I made my Rapturion following old guides for a 2-switch RS with mosfet for the motors, all the wiring diagrams are still 100% valid and always will be...
Check out LordDraconical's guides on them, he's a longtime modding pro, been doing it for 10+ years at this point, with a similar amount of clarity and ease of following along
I had a question, I'm am planing on modifying my stratohawk/rapidstrike and am going to use the Meishel 2.0 130 2s motor you sell on your website but am wondering if they would be safe to use running with a 9 volt battery because I don't want to buy a lipo, lipo alarm, and lipo charger. Do you have any suggestions.
Is there anything you could make or that we could put in the perses to keep the rounds going into the flywheel so we don’t have to shake it? Maybe a ramp kind of thing
We're currently having trouble sourcing components for PCBs, and so our projects for full auto and select-fire boards on the shop have been put on hold. Stay tuned though! We still expect we will be selling more boards by the end of the year.
Can this board be used if you're using 16 AWG throughout? Can you just ignore the MOSFET, or attach the larger wire to the small wire contacts, or something?
Rather then just using the smaller gage wires could you do the normal 18/16 gage wiring with a lipo to this board using the XT60 to make it so you can drag and drop the motor into any other blaster?
Hi! The span board makes it easy to solder and upgrade your motors and wiring for more powerful LiPos (or IMRs). You would need to purchase additional parts to make your Stryfe full auto. - Perry
Did he say that it works for all cages he sells? Cause it’s not gonna work on a canted cage. I made that oversight on one of my builds. Felt pretty dumb when I started dry fitting things and realized my mistake. I also had to face it the opposite direction when doing a rayven build (mostly for ease of running wires)
Also, he said this was a short and easy mod but the vid is over 23 min long. And I seriously need you to make a guide for how to install the demolisher mod parts you have on your website because I really want to do it but I want to stay safe and follow a guide.
Speaking of Heston Systems, does anyone know what happened to them? They have been out of stock for a looooong time. Am I just missing when they restock? Also Thanks for a great product Luke. I've been using these boards since you came out with them. I'm glad you mentioned the JST(?) connectors. I've been using the power wires from old usb cables b/c/ they are the only ones small enough to fit through the holes on the board. I always wondered why those through holes were so small. ;-)

plz do a demo on how to set up the demolisher kit you have on your website.
Weird that as the hobby develops further we've gone back to having PCBs on the motors instead of "just rip them off you don't need safety"

Awesome, now I can do a cleaner install in my Jyn Erso blaster. Must order one of these asap.
Great tutorial. More tutorials for the best "basic" blaster - Stryfe :-)
Awesome. I’ll be getting this to mod my AF Spectrum. First time modder, wish me luck!
A solid Stryfe mod video would be awesome. Also what is the red clamp tool called that you had your xt60's in?

can you use a blow torch for the heat shrink? Or would a hairdryer be better

If I'm understanding correctly, I can use this and have smaller wires going to my stock switch instead of 16-18AWG to a 21A switch?
That's amazing!
Hi, when will the coolook 14500 batteries come back into stock? Or, do you know another store where I can buy them?
Hi love your videos and products 😁❤️

@@outofdarts yay!!!
Is there a constant current draw when the battery is plugged in?
I realise it would be very low but could it over drain the lipo?
The circuit doesn’t close until the switch is depressed, so I don’t see why it would
Would this board work for a rapidstrike?
Can this board be used if you're using 16 AWG throughout? Can you just ignore the MOSFET, or attach the larger wire to the small wire contacts, or something?
It really depends on what you're building. Feel free to shoot us an email: orders@outofdarts.com
