Just tuned xHP on my G20 330i. Went to Stage 2, and it makes a huge difference. Feels like it's putting down like 30 whp more, in every gear, and very smooth power delivery. It's a blast to drive the car, even when you're not going fast.

Tommy L Garage if the bmw has sport mode it most likely has launch control. Even my older 2010 328i had launch control.
Only msport model available launch control
Good luck getting it to work if you don’t have a tuned tcu.

You can shave another 0.5sec off your 0-60 (if you have a ZF8 auto box), by not using launch control at all, just hold it on the brake rev to 2300 and then floor it as you let off the brake. Feather the throttle with your foot to minimise wheelspin. Much faster than any other method.

I never knew I had launch control? Is of faster down the strip? 13 535 XI-M Sport. Usually shifting at 6600 rpm. How much faster is drag mode' down the1/4? Thanks
@@SimonGa23torque converter is just filled with fluid, basically you are spinning the fluid. Holding the rev a couple times the fluid may heat up a little bit but won’t do much harm

What about practicality. Does it seem to improve acceleration off the line on mildly aggressive throttle input?
Questions for launch control I need to press the gas pedal all way to the end ?? And my other question is traction control need to be enable or disable??

I have an M4 and would LOVE to be able to put my power down better. Not sure this would help 700Nm RWD. Plus you have to fully turn off traction control in order for launch control to work.
Stage 2 tune and catless downpipe M4 can I do this ?

I don’t have xhp on my 235, but I do have MHD and I can adjust the power by gear. I’ve never touch those settings, would it essentially be the same thing? I am on stock wheels (18x8.5) and I do not have the MP LSD, so I get pretty bad wheel spin off the line and would like to optimize my launch so I can actually start doing them.

How does this differ from the BM3 boost by gear and transmission flash?
BM3 transmission flash is really basic. This is wayyyy different. And the results are a lot more noticeable with xHP.

Flashed it an hour ago. The whole progress went smooth. But when it is done. I started the engine and got Chassis Stabilization Malfunction error.
Now I can't use sport and sport + mode. I tried flash it stage 1 and 2. Same error when start the engine.
Is this the same thing as the transmission tune? Or are they two seperate things? I don’t like the hesitations between shifts on my 440i.
It is a trans tune with an additional feature to customize LC and other things
@Kies Motorsports I have a 2013 328i with 90k miles, I put it in sport mode and run it through its gears.. id say once a month tops... MAYBE twice a month. today i put it in sport + and used launch control, while it was awesome, i am wondering how much damage i just did considering i want to keep this car for 200K + miles how often is this stuff permitted. (also note; i do routine maintenance and i take good care of it)

Just make sure you change your trans fluid every 30k miles if you’re planning on running stage 3. Currently using ATF 1800 luqi Molly trans fluid and it runs fine. Just make sure you flush out the rest of oem fluid. Don’t want cross contamination so I suggest buying 14 quarts of it.
What mods do you have to have so much turbo spool?
Down pipe, full exhaust, hpfp, lpfp, air intake, turbo inlet, aluminum charge pipe, large intercooler and turbo smart blow off valve with a custom bm3 tune.

I just picked up a 2014 435i with M Sport pkg. I want to get 400hp without breaking the bank because I'm on a budget but not a tight one. My Youngest son owns a 335I coupe and he has upgraded and pushing about 440hp he said I don't need a lot of bolt on parts maybe intake, JB4 tune kit and maybe down pipes with BOV. I want to spend no more than $$2000 over time nor rush but easiest first! Oh my car has the base everything for the entry M Sport... saw your video in the larger display but I want to add that with NAV! Your advise Sir is welcomed and my son will do all my work... I have allergies... :) :)

Yes you can. Xhp does not effect any tuner
It won’t disrupt anything DME/ECU related. This flashes the TCU not the DME.
I had no idea my F30 had launch control. Is it just the xdrive or do the rear wheel drive models have it as well?

That's a stupid restriction especially if it's a life time of only 20. I'd return that car!

When I use xDelete the car is undriveable. Launches are a joke, you can use these same settings to reduce the launch torque which is great for you RWD guys.
What did you guys have to set it to for RWD? I am RWD 450whp/450wtq and don't rly wanna do 10 launches just to find the right settings since it's a lot of wear on tires etc

I can do in 550ix same set up launch control
how about central differential? when wheels arent spinning(sliping) presure is huge on that differential, i broke mine, it costed 3.2k euros for me.

Does the i3 have launch control and can that be customized? BMW really made the software provide a smooth start from 0-15kmph on the i3. I did read somewhere that the reason was due to reducing wear on the brackets holding the motor so if that ever becomes possible I would not launch often.

I thought the manual F30's didn't have launch control. In Bimmercode I can't find the option to enable launch control. I know where the options are located for the auto's just not manuals.

why does the seatbelts have to be connected while flashing?
Micke when the seatbelts are clicked in the ecu’s will not shut down while you are flashing the tune

Any possible issues from the higher torque (including and not limited to upgrades you have made to your car + extra torque from xHP) on the stock driveshaft/differential ? Or do you have an M3 driveshaft/differential?
I have a 2014 335i sitting right around 450whp. I drive it like its stolen and have yet to have any drivetrain issues
Isnt the transmission the bigger concern? I've read some people say it can't handle much more than 400tq

You have to use bimmer code and go into expert mode ...thicf30 channel has the tutorial...I have it in my 2014 328i xdrive sulev after I used bimmer code
I only ever get one good launch out of my car then it seems to limit power and rev slower, is this because the transmission is overheating?

Curious about the warning to let the transmission adapt for at least 50 miles after the flash? You just flashed and stepped on it, but will that have any effect on normal transmission shift properties. Does this change the line pressures internally during just launch control or permanently for all conditions? Thanks,
Xhp ups line pressure even with out lc turned on. Xhp removes the stock torque limits in the trans and allows for my line pressure so that the clutches hold better
