The Folland Gnat is no longer with the Red Arrows, it was retired from the RAF. After it was retired the Red Arrows replaced their main jet with the BAE Hawk T1. This is quite brief but if you want me to go into more detail I’d be happy to do so. Just realised you sent this almost a year ago, Jesus I’m late.
I often wonder if the Red Arrows will upgrade to a more modern aircraft. I wonder what that aircraft could be? If BAE designed a new Hawk that would be very cool... But since we now have F-35s rather than designing a new Harrier (which we would have done if we had any dignity whatsoever), I can't see it happening.
Thanks so much mate. Great insight. I see you guys perform at Biggin hill some time back
Thank you so much for the details on this aircraft. I am building a scale model and the up close shots are extremely helpful.
Just what I needed for my presentation thanks
Fascinating, love it!
Thank you!
I love this channel. Great insights into how these incredible machines work, as well as the crew that fly them.
Thanks very much 😁
Oh boy I hope the title of this video doesn’t get misinterpreted in a few years
Wow, this channel is great! Can’t wait for more insight from Marcus #cool
Great video! Very informative. What is that beautiful red of the plane ? Is the same of the old Folland gnat was painted? Thanks
920mph?? No. 645mph. Maybe Mach 1.2 might be doable in a dive, if you didn't care if the wings peeled off!
Joining the red arrows is my dream job
Loved your Lego set so sad it didn't get approved 😭 fascinating video tho
No GPS... But there is one fitted where the gunsight would be. Aftermarket fit.
In most raf arrows displays which are used more the gnat or hawk?

Are you sure you’ve not mixed kph up with mph? I’m not going to argue with you but official released specs state 622mph.

Capable ba sila sa air refuelling?
Kailan naman kaya sila pupunta ng Philippines?
Well these fine Men and Women always get my support 100% 😊😉👏👏👏👏
ECLAT👍
Thank you!
May I ask something?
I've noticed that some liquid was pouring out from the end of the aircraft...is it diesel?
Yep - it's the fuel vent!
To answer your question its not Diesel it would be NATO Standard F-35 military kerosene type aviation fuel.
The U.S. Version of this jet is called the Goshawk
wheres the smoke buttons ?
On the control column 😊
weres that i real dont no much about the hawk
@@STARRSHIP wheres the control column?
@@nonosquare2695 the control column is the technical word for a joystick, yoke, etc. In the Hawk T1A it is the joystick positioned between the legs
Tom Scott brought me here 🙂 Bring him back for more.
