Dak's completion percentage and passer rating are both top 5 all time. His TD to INT ratio is 6th best all time. Dak's passing stats are almost identical to Pat Mahomes's in their last 50 starts. Pretty impressive for a guy that can't throw very well. According to ESPN since 2020 Kansas City's o-line has ranked 6th, 2nd, 1st and 1st in pass protection. Dallas has ranked 26th, 23rd, 28th and 16th in the same timeframe. Hard to believe Colin has a team of statisticians working for him and all I have is google.

Dak's completion percentage and passer rating are both top 5 all time. His TD to INT ratio is 6th best all time. Dak's passing stats are almost identical to Pat Mahomes's in their last 50 starts. Pretty impressive for a guy that can't throw very well.
According to ESPN since 2020 Kansas City's o-line has ranked 6th, 2nd, 1st and 1st in pass protection. Dallas has ranked 26th, 23rd, 28th and 16th in the same timeframe. Hard to believe Colin has a team of statisticians working for him and all I have is google.

It's not that they drafted a QB at 8, it's that they drafted a QB at 8 AND gave a huge FA contract to a QB. You can't do both of those things in the same offseason, because you could've also added a pass rusher at 8 or drafted Odunze.
Yes you can and yes they did. There are no rules to this. It blows my mind that people say teams can’t do this and teams can’t do that. The first edge rusher in the draft didn’t come off the board until the mid to late teens…that tells you right there no one had those guys high on their draft board. It was smart for them to sure up the qb position for the next 10 possibly because if Kirk is what we believe he is, you won’t be in position to draft a qb when he’s done playing in 2 years. Ask the Steelers how it’s working out for them? They might have to suck this year just to get a QB because Fields is not the answer and Russ is the same age as Kirk Cousins. 😂
