She said none of them were there when that happened in Genosha but Nightcrawler was
In her defense, Nightcrawler was not an X-Men at the time and she did not really spend that much time with him compared to the others.
@@justinguyos5476 Yeah, I thought that too, but you have to remember that she's still grieving and isn't thinking straight
@BrunoNps She is thinkin straight. It's just not in-line with the "group think" of her team. She has her own valid viewpoints. Throughout history, anytime someone dares to go against the opinion of the concensus, they are deemed as "not thinking straight." YES. She is still grieving, but she'll be doing that to some level for the rest of her life. You never TRULY get over an avent like Genosha. But are you gonna use that as an excuse for every, what you deem "bad decision she makes from here on out? She KNOWS what she's doing despite the grief. In fact, the grief is probably making her see MORE clearly. Sometimes it takes trauma to make us take inventory of our lives re-asses our views cuz it puts a spotlight on parts of our lives we usually shove in the back of the "attics of our minds." Have you not heard of many people who have had profound revelations & completely 180'd the course of their lives after the mental & spiritual transformation they've undergone after having gone through harrowing tragedy? Well, that's all that has happened to Rogue.
Besides, what's the definition of "insanity"? Wha sense (aside from plot motivation) does it make for ANY of the X-men to keep traveling Xavier's 🧑🏻🦲 path when having done so all these years has led to NO improvement in human/mutant relations? When what you've been doing doesn't work, then the common sense approach is to try a new method.
People see Magneto's 🧑🏼🦳🧲 methods as "extreme" & "violent." But when you are dealing with a group of people who have MADE A CHOICE 2 ignore reason & "live & let live," what other method do you propose? Humans ---- IN REAL LIFE --- are THE MOST OBSTINATE CREATURES hellbent on self-destruction despite the COUNTLESS illustrations history has given them extolling the folly of such a mindset. The ONLY time humans straighten up & act like they have some sense is when they feel they are about to be annihilated & the only way to prevent that annihilation is to put their differences aside & come together. But AS SOON as the threat passes, they're pick RIGHT BACK UP where they left off on their "R@ype, Pillage, & Conquer Tour." The Bible even says "there's a time ⏳️ for everything," INCLUDING war ⚔️. And as Magneto has known since his childhood, that's the ONLY language the unreasonable understand.
@@dominiquedevereux7205 a lot of text, I'm not going to read all of this, I was saying that she wasn't thinking straight at the time she said that, I'm not judging any of her decisions
@@BrunoNps Of course you aren't. People nowadays can't read anything that's not 3 sentences or less because of their limited attention spans. Plus, people can't stand to read opinions that don't support their own. YET, you took the time to tell me you aren't gonna read my response, as if there was a purpose in that other than being passive aggressive to low-key, basically tell me "I could care less!!"? OK 🤷🏾♂️. So could (DO) I 🥱 💅🏾 . . . .
_who dies next professor, Jean?_
Good one Rogue 😂
Betrayed her lover, now the rest of her family, too.
The ONLY person she'd be betraying would be herself if she stayed. People act like people can't change their minds in life. Your experiences change you & she's a different person after Genosha. YOU may see her as a traitor cuz YOU agree with Xavier's philosophy, but just cuz she no longer does doesn't mean she's a traitor. It's just like with most Christians ✝️, despite the particukar sect they belong to --- they "witness" to other people telling them their Jesus is the only way to happiness & eternal life, NEVER ONCE CONSIDERING that the Muslim ☪️ or Buddhist ☸️ they are proselytizing to feels the exact same way about Muhammad & Allah or Buddha & believes the Christian might be in error.
None of Rogue's teammates aside from Nightcrawler experienced Genosha (as she told Storm who tried to guilt her into staying), & if they had, they might have left with her depending on how they processed the events. I don't even belief Nightcrawler believes Prof. X's way is The Way anymore, but he's staying because his understanding of his religion/spirituality is at odds with violence. But in any case, He & Rogue are perfect X-amples of how 2 people can endure the same experience and be effected in polar opposite ways by it. Neither is right; neither is wrong. Contrast is necessary in this world to have a balanced view. Plus, you can't know what 1 thing is without having its opposite to compare it to.

I think this is the first time in the season someone referred to Morph as they/them
She will realize it’s not for her and go back. She ditched magneto once before and will happen again.
But the team and family won't welcome her back
@@goliathgar4985especially Storm
@@goliathgar4985 Ditch Magneto? Yes. Try to go back? Yes. Be accepted? Not likely. At the very least, Kurt will be the only one who would still welcome her back, because he knows they're family and that he's now all she has left in the world. As an act of kindness, Beast and Forge will give her a bracelet that will allow her the chance to turn her powers off and on. She'll be able to touch people, but I don't think she'll allow herself to touch another person's heart again, like she touched the X-Men's. Like she touched Remy's.
@@goliathgar4985 would you welcome her back she probably almost cost of wolverine his life nightcrawler made forgive her despite she betrayed him because he's her brother but still she will regret betraying them
@brandonsilcott5528 not for 10 months of her own soul searching. She tried to kill Trask which was a Cential Prime, and didn't even went to Gambit's funeral. After seeing that to Wolverine, Jubilee us gonna need therapy
I mean, Rouge ain’t wrong. Storm did just wander off after her powers got sealed and she says that Rouge shouldn’t leave?
Roberto did also just got abandoned by his mom, which was what he feared most when revealing his powers.
to be fair to the weather bitch, she would have been a liability to the team if she had stayed. for example, she would not have been able to defend herself against the prime sentinels when they attacked the mansion.
I can't either of them. It's hard to believe in Charles's dream after what they went through.
Considering this episode is based off of Fatal Attractions, Rogue & Sunspot didn't betray the team, in the comics Colossus pretended that he joined Magneto in an empt to slow down Magneto's plan, this is what Rogue & Sunspot are doing that their pretended the left the team so they can slow down Magneto's vengeance.
As much as i want to side with rogue (and ik shes right) but it seems more her grief and guilt from what she did and happened to gambit are talking than her actual values and beliefs
If you want my honest opinion, they're all stupid equally stupid. But I blamed the writers
Death Horsemam: "Not seeing any mutants dying reclusing yourself in an asteroid while millions of mutants dies due to your sugar daddy Earth attack. What a great plan! Now drop dead..."
Wonder why she gave Gambits jacket to Professor X. Kinda like for safekeeping, like she plans to come back on the X Men sides. I smell a double cross with Magneto here
She did it because she is doing what she did in the past, chose magneto.
Remy's coat simbolizes him, and just like how she went with magneto when he was still alive, she again leave Remy and went with magneto.
@pedrofernandes2466 I don't think remy would have like that. He always believed in charles, and he was willing to die believing in his dream. He wouldn't like seeing charles being blame.
I think is just that the show is showing that rogue is doing the same mistake she did before, because she is not "thinking" well right now.
Considering that Rogue's arc is based off of Colossus' arc in this particular storyline and the pacing of the show, except the doublecross to happen next week.
@@fro-zone2k rogue leaving magneto and going back to the team? Correct me if I am wrong, but colossus arc made him staying with magneto sometime after what happen. So, if that its the case its more probably to see rogue staying with magneto at the end of ep 10, which would be worse.
@@edercervantes8876 Considering the pacing of the show, except her to turn on him but instead of re-joining the team, she's leaves them in order to get her right frame of mind back.
I guess it safe to say rogue went “rogue” on her family…. Okay bad joke I’ll leave
I think the title of the clip should be "Rogue Changes Her Mind." Anytime an individual who was going along with "group think" or the concensus changes their viewpoint to that of the unpopular perspective, then they are labeled as a "traitor/defector." This has happened to me a lot in life as my consciousness keeps elevating & I refrain from a lot of things I used to participate in, i.e. celebrating Christmas 🎄 & other holidays & traditions in my family or deciding not to participate in presidential elections anymore because I see that they are a sham & quite literally--- political theater that gives us no real power as "we the people,," & have adopted spirituality divorced of religion, I get harassed by my family & now e(x)- friends co-workers & strangers online telling me how am I gonna turn my back on who & what I grew up with/in, & I'm like: "If there was anybody I ever betrayed --- it was MYSELF by engaging in these things whe ln they never really felt right to me in the 1st place, yet I participated in them cuz that's how I was raised, or that's "just what normal (hive-minded) people do; you "go along to get along."
You owe nobody in this life anything but yourself. And I don't mean that in the narcissistic way. If you brought children into this world or adopted them, then YES --- it's your responsibility to take care of them. If you make commitments, you should keep your word & honor them. But if keeping a commitment means betraying yourself & suffering for the sake of APPEARING "righteous" to make other people comfortable, then NO.
Rogue has been taking so much flack from fans of the show this season & my thing is, even with her perceived mistakes, I LOVE her the most cuz (I always have since the original series) because even though she is far from perfect, she doesn't try to hide it under pretense. She is going through some HEAVY shyte this season --- and in full view of everyone (meaning her teammates) & I love how she's not trying to put on this brave, composed face. She is running through her full gamut of emotions --- joy, lust, love, sadness, anger, feeling betrayed & let down, being fed up with being abused (by humans) ---- and she's being open about it. The irony of her SUPPOSED "f🖕🏾ck ups" & emotional turmoil this season is that it shows as a mutant JUST HOW HUMAN SHE IS. And we see in this series, hunans are FAR from perfect.
Throughout this entire scene, you can tell from her facial expressions that she resonates with a lot of what Magneto 🧑🏼🦳 🧲 is saying & is struggling with wanting to "not betray" her X-men family & wanting to try Magneto's way. She has SEEN FOR HERSELF that Professor X's 🧑🏻🦲 dream he sold her & the other X-men has been a crock of shyte, or at the least --- is an idea who has time will never come, & she's tired of fighting on the SUPPOSED side of ✌🏾right ✌🏾 just because it looks good for optics. Most of the X-men & the humans that DO like them (and the only reason most of them do) subscribe to Prof X's approach to mutant/human co-existence IS BECAUSE it doesn't involve violence --- well, as little as possible. To the X-men that majes them feel tolerated, somewhat "accepted" by humans, & that makes the humans feel safe around the mutants. Most of those same humans still don't LIKE mutants, but they can tolerate them if they are cow-towing to humans to placate their fears of them saying: "See you can trust us cuz we're 'good'" mutants. YET, THE MINUTE a mutant fights back & RIGHTFULLY so, from being attacked BY HUMANS, then the humans' "tolerance" of them instantly vanishes because the entitlement of the humans makes them feel the mutants should just shut up & take their abuse. And not only that, but take the abuse with a SMILE! Even Val Cooper, a human originally a STAUNCH opponent of mutants, had to admit Magneto's philosophy which she so vehemently opposed at the beginning of this season, was right!
Here, Rogue is saying: "Look, Y'all. I tried it Professor X's way for YEARS & we are WORSE off now than when we started. I 'm not gonna continue giving my energy to something that no longer resonates with me just because the optics of it makes us MILDLY palatable to bigots who want 2 see us annihilated. We shouldn't have to ask another being to tolerate our existence. We have AS MUCH right to exist as they do & we DON'T have 2 ask their permission to do so. And if feeling that way makes me a traitor in your eyes --- then SO BE IT."
And I'm saying the same thing in my life at this time. In fact, it's a "mutation" I've been going through for almost 25yrs & will continue to undergo --- I'm not continue down a path that that traveling down is giving me the evidence that it is no longer, or NEVER has worked! Everyone has their own path to the truth & everyone's path looks different. And if me changing paths & "sides/tribes" means I get called a traitor, then I'LL BE THAT. But only a traitor to OTHER'S PLANS FOR ME. But what I WILL NEVER BE AGAIN IS A TRAITOR TO MYSELF.
3 of them are kinda stupid. Magneto, rogue and the flare guy. I get their pov on this situation (although I agree with professor X pov more) but couldn't all of em work together to stop the actual villain rather than playing sides. But can't really say anything about the pacing ig since it only had 20 minutes?
So I notice most the comments are about Rouge. But how does everyone feel about Sunspot’s betrayal? Or does no one really give a damn about him?
Nah. Dude was an Xman for like 10 secs before siding against them lol
like jubilee, i don't give a damn about sunspot. both of 'em can die for all i care. 😅
No
No one gives a damn about him. This character deserves a better plot.
She does have a point
I'm with Rogue on this one. She has been loyally following Xavier's dream for many years. And all she has to show for it was continuous scorn and distrust by humanity, the death of so many of her fellow mutants including the love of her life, and the only thing Xavier has to tell her after being gone for many years was that he rather have Gambit buried on School grounds instead of his hometown.
Well mass murder is certanly not going to fix it neither something Gambit would have liked. Let's remember that she started as a terrorist and the X men gave her a Home and help.
@@xCoatlicuex🙄 This "Turn the other cheek" shyte everyone is spouting when it comes to Magneto & Rogue RIGHTFULLY REACTING 2 having their lives threatened got old REAL quick!!
I stand ✊🏿 with Rogue/Magneto as well 😤!
Considering that Rogue's arc in this season is based off of Colossus' arc in this particular story & the pacing of the show, except her to turn on him next week.
@@xCoatlicuex Yeah but Humanity made it quite clear that they would never change their stance on Mutants no matter what. There are two kinds of people, the ones who actively harm Mutants and the ones who just stand back and let the discrimination happen.
I don't blame her.
I do, she is spiting on Gambit sacrifice, he never would have approved her betrayal and hurt his Friends Even less a mass murder.
@@xCoatlicuex lol no she's not, Gambit sacrificd himslf for the mutants on the rooftop and Genosha in general. He's dead bcause of a mass murder.
@@xCoatlicuex and why did Gambit die in the first place? All because of Bastion who is the culmination of the Sentinel Technology that humans built to eradicate mutants because they fear them. Gambit would have never died if the Humans showed the slightest care or understanding to Mutants. But Bastion is basically the end-result of Humanity’s relationship with mutants. Humans are fundamentally incapable of overcoming their prejudices and choose to destroy what they don’t understand.
I wouldn't call it "betrayal," since her family are mutants.
They considered to be family no matter what race or even where there from
MAGS got a point
rogue is not wrong! they took a big L on Genosha
