Houston ISD board moves forward with terminations despite community protests

  • More planned walkouts are scheduled for Friday with students and families protesting the administration's recent decisions to oust long-time staff at several schools. Several parents voiced their opinions at an 8-hour-long school board meeting.

    HISD is one of the worst performing school districts in the nation and a shake-up is needed...

    In Baltimore, ZERO kids were proficient in all 3 categories of Math, English, and Reading. I wish that I could underperform and then cry about the fact that I lost my position. These "educators" are a joke.

    If they ain't doing they jobs right then yeah they got to go...who cares what then fools in the community say. Pretty sure if they was underperforming at they jobs they'd get the axe too.

      Actually Mike Miles is underperforming in his current job, and I do not blame him, he does not know anything about education... not my words, but Dallas ISD and his own group of charter schools who got low outcomes can evidence this...
