I have a turtle and my turtle experts say that Purigen can be soaked in Prime, diluted with water, rather than pure Prime.

After recharging does it have to be stored in an air tight bag?

No, not that I am aware it should just be kept dry

@@chrispowell6594 I looked at this yesterday, Seachem suggest it should be wet or the granules may crack- I've just taken mine out of the water and put in a sealed bag- so moist.

@@AlanChown thanks Alan, never had an issue storing dry but I guess this could be the case - never had granules leaving the mesh bags

Is that domestos original thick bleach?

      Yes it is, no scent

@@chrispowell6594 I'm not sure that's correct- all of the domestos data sheets i can see list 'parfum'. Doubt it makes any difference though.

Hi, I always use thick bleach with great results

The tesco thin bleach is 1%. The thick bleaches seem to be around 4-5%. Seachem say use standard bleach- which they say is 8.25%- which I dont think you can get off of the shelf . But if you didnt dilute the thick bleach you wouldn't be far off the 50% diluted 8% bleach. I was using the thin bleach and it never went white. I bought some 12% bleach online and diluted accordingly and its now white as snow! I assumed wrongly that that standard domestos was in some way scented- using that will make it easier than going online. APC Pure sell strong bleach, peroxide and even dry chemicals for ferts.
