Love your commitment to offroad fun. More awesome is that you do it with the family. These are memories you are making. I do pray that you always get to have this fun
Yea they closed Jane's scenic drive years ago. I was so mad. That's how I visited every year. No real reason to close it. Under the agreement they were supposed to maintain the road.
I came across your videos researching Honda pilots and just wanted to say I love you videos and how you include your whole family what year is your Honda and what problems have you had I’m looking for a 2007 or so pilot what would you recommend looking out for being that most pilots are going to be high mileage
Thanks Joe! The 06-08 Pilots are great vehicles. I would recommend looking out for rust where the subframe meets the body in the rear. Some people have had issue with rot/failure there. My Pilot still runs great with over 230,000 miles. I recently had issues with my lift and cheap aftermarket axles. If you lift yours I would recommend sticking with Honda axles. Other than that it has been very reliable. The only downside to these vehicles is mediocre gas mileage due to the awd system. I get 16 with my lift, oversized tires, and roof rack. I think a stock 06-08 with 245-75-16's would be a very reliable rig for family and off road use.
Hello I just subscribed!!!! My wife’s getting a Honda Pilot. Since owning your Pilot, have you had any major issues with the drivetrain? Do you know of common problems the Honda Pilot has? Btw I like your your videos.
I recently had an issue with an after market cv axle failing! OEM axles have been holding up fine. My transmission still feels good after 235,000 miles.
Brad Melvin I adapted a skid from an f250. check out my build thread for details. www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/2007-honda-pilot-off-road-build.20884/page-3
