Great stuff Austin and Lucy the drone footage makes all the difference i really should get one.....oh wait a minute i've had one for 3 years lol. It'll be a museum piece before i get it out ( one day ). Great to see Lucy doing some vlogging love it when you both vlog , good to meet Leona and big Chris he looks like a power lifter. Great opening James Bond shot. Hopefully see you's in September I bring up a different single malt. ATB.

Just catching up with this trip!!!! Hey good to see Marley on the mountain, summiting isn’t that important, we got half way up Helvellyn with our Kodie, but it was too much for her..... that was at the end of June..... keep adventuring guys..... 👍😊
Good call with Marley, his head wanted to carry on but the body would have suffered. I was in a similar situation a couple of years back with one of my dogs, the dog was old and wanted to carry on during a Wild Camp, I let her, three months later she couldn't walk. It just shows how dogs are so loyal and wont give up. The Wild Camp didn't really cause her any extra problems however I wish I had taken it a little easier on her during that last outing. Another good video as always guys but you always do upload some cracking adventures. Atb Bill.
Thank you 👍. We just want to prolong his outdoor time, as much for me as him lol. He’s coming abroad with us in the van later in the year so it’s limited us a bit but worth it . We’ve been trying some new tablets on him called devils claw I think and it’s the biggest improvement we’ve seen so far so hopefully he’ll still be ok in a few months 🤞. Cheers. A+L.
I did the same route to Scafell Pike with Chris and Leona, exactly one year ago to the day, funny enough and we had a great day, two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. When I saw the look of you and Chris the day after the Irish whiskey, red wine and beer, it makes me pleased I have a slight problem with my liver, which means I cannot drink more than a couple lol. I think you made the right call with Marley, you could see he was desperate to go on further but don't want to risk the little fella. If ever I won the loto I would buy a van like yours, just the right size and not too big for them small Lakeland C roads. Cheers Alan
It was great to finally meet them 👍. i reckon i'm gonna have a liver problem if we keep meeting other youtubers lol. Thats the exact reason we got this sized van as it can get where most cars can and we've really squeezed it down some narrow lanes since we got it . Cheers . A+L.
Your lucky you dont have any bears. mountain lions, snakes etc like we do her in the US although we do have huge trees. This looks peaceful and so beautiful. Thanx

Absolutely brilliant, your drone footage is amazing as is the editing. Glad you've got the motivation back ❤️ loved the start and we really appreciate your lovely chat about us the feeling is mutual, you two are great people and Han was great with the kids. You've captured the beauty of the lakes effortlessly carb wait for part rwo. It was a please to meet you all ❤️

This is an extremely well-tailored film and was very encouraging, and fun to watch. If I ever come back in another lifetime as a dog, I just hope that 2 Feet Forward will adopt me. What could be a better life than to travel in freedom, to such interesting locations? I wish all youtube content was this pleasant to watch. Keep posting folks!
@@2FeetForward Great to see more of Lucy speaking on cam, too. A thumbs up on all counts, Lucy. I hope this doesn't sound too groupie, but your drone footage, Austin, is some of the best I've seen anywhere. Honestly, it's better than a lot of the stuff that's on the Beeb. It provides a lovely effect, the drone footage, while listening to a middling sort of tune. It was one of your vids which got me into listening to 'Walk Like a Panther', by Tony Christie lol. Keep rocking guys!
Fantastic! was Dragged up the Wasdale fells from when i was 5 years old! leading to my dad allowing me to do my first solo camp on Styhead Tarn when I was 15. Happy memories :)
Oh wow , what a place to grow up! A solo wild camp at 15 is good going as well 👍. I used to have to creep over the small woods we had in London as a kid, with the traffic noise etc quite different than Styhead Tarn lol , must've been brilliant as a teen . Cheers . A+L.
58 seconds, Eagle Crag to the rear, leads round to the Langstrath Valley and the location of the Borrowdale secret cave , took me 5 years to find it. Awesome location, also got wild swimming at Black Moss Pot up there.
@@2FeetForward Thanks bud, keep it up. FYI, heres a chap found the cave, might be a nice one for you and your lovely missus and Marley to do in the future. Best wishes.
Just caught up and enjoyed this one a lot. Happy/sad feelings though when you talk about the pooch but I guess he's had a brilliant time so far with his life adventures. It would be great one day to meet up with you two and have a walk up on the tops.

@@2FeetForward Yes no worries Austin. I keep looking at lightweight tents on ebay etc. I have tons of camping kit and tents from 1 berth to 8 berth but fancy a nice little one for an overnighter in the hills where I can also find out what things I really need for doing this kind of stuff. Once I know I have a kit bag packed with all the essentials I never touch it because everything is in one place. I spend loads of time in North Wales as you know but the Lakes are an hour n' half away so can be in most places north pretty quick.
Marvellous footage but I can't help thinking it would have been easier for Marley if you'd taken the easier route up Scafell Pike via Lingmell Col. Its the only route I would consider as I just couldn't do Mickledore!
Yes I know what you mean. The trouble is Marley struggles with steps more than anything and since the paths have been built he really struggles on them . The worst bit is the boulder field at the top for him so sadly I’m afraid his summit days are over ☹️.

Poor old Marley ehh. He looked a bit upset when the rest of his pack disappeared into the distance and he was left with muggins! My boy is 12 around Xmas and I do wonder how many more mountains he's got left in him? Some days he's like a 2 year old and on other days he plods along showing a bit of stiffness in his shoulder. Apparently a 16 year old Springer did the Coast to Coast so hopefully there's life in the old dogs yet!
He wasn’t happy, definitely got the short straw lol. Your boy sounds just the same as Marley, good days and bad days. We’re really having to think about every trip now and we’ve had to totally revise our Europe trip later in the year in the camper . We’ve just got him his first pet passport so he’s coming with us for over two weeks as we just can’t leave it to the kids . Our plans of wild camps in the Pyrenees and Pico de Europe have gone straight out the window 🙄. As I write this he’s legging it up and down the garden fetching his ball and seems 💯. Guess it’s a small price for 12 years of fun with him. Cheers. A+L.
Another awesome video thank you for sharing your adventure. Can you give any advice about a tent for a first time wild camper. Keep the awesome videos coming 👍⛰
Thank you . To be honest i wouldn't spend a lot on your first tent . A Chinese cheapie such as the Lanshan 2 is perfect for summer use and only around £80 but the Vango 1 and 2 man tents are hard to beat for value and strength . On our recent trip to Snowdonia , two of the tents were well over £600 each but Geds Vango did just as good a job in the high winds. The OEX tents from go outdoors are great value and tough as hell as well 👍. You can upgrade as you get into it and either sell the old one or keep it for when a mate wants to have a go or for fireside camps. Cheers. A+L.
Hi, wonder if I could ask what camera setup you use? It's really smooth! And from a selfish standpoint, it'd be very useful if you added maps including car park and walking route to your videos.
Hi Sam. The camera is a little Sony FDR x 3000 action cam . I got it because the stabilisation is so good but it’s been out since 2016 and the new GoPro 7 and the Dji Action cam blow it out of the water . I’d definitely check them out 👍. When it comes to the maps and stuff I’m just a bit lazy I guess but it’s pretty hard enough trying to find the time to edit them . We usually wait for someone to ask in the comments and paste a link but I’ll try to be a bit more informative in future 👍. Cheers. A+L.
