I also loved Heavy and Men We Reaped. Inferno has been on my TBR for a while and I've just added After the Eclipse thanks to this video. I'd recommend Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad and Did Ye Hear Mammy Died? by Seamus O'Reilly
I haven't read any of these, more for the TBR! I loved A Flat Place, which I know you're planning on reading and How to Say Babylon from the Women's prize shortlist for non fiction, the audio was so beautifully read by the author.
Great recommendations! I am finishing up A Long Way Gone, an autobiography Ishmael Beah and his experiences as a child solider. It is very graphic but inspiring.
I read After the Eclipse on your recommendation some time ago, so good. I adored The Liars' Club by Mary Karr and Kiss Myself Goodbye by Ferdinand Mount. Good memoirs and auto/biographies are fascinating and special.
Inferno was extremely eye-opening! I also listened to the book and was really glad I did. We often hear, at least now about postpartum depression but I can't think another story about postpartum psychosis. Excellent book! I've added the others to my list as well. Do you know where Toni Jensen is from in the U.S.? It says something about her spending time in Iowa and that's where I'm from and currently live.
I also love memoirs! Men We Reaped is one of my favourites. Heavy sounds like something for me. Other favourites are Maybe you should talk to someone by Lori Gottlieb, The devil that danced on the water by Aminatta Forna, Know my name by Chanel Miller and In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado. Will you also make a video featuring graphic memoirs? I believe you mentioned reading those, and I would LOVE more suggestions 😊!
Thanks for the recommendations! I've read In the Dream House and Know My Name but not the other two. Yes, I am hoping to do a video about graphic memoirs :)
I loved the two memoirs Julie Andrews published.

Heavy is the only one I've read out of these, and I really liked it too. Adding the others to my tbr 😅
Memoirs are in my top 3 genres. The last 3 books are now on my tbr. Thanks. Great video as usual.
The best memoirs that I have read this year are Private Equity by Carrie Sun and The Girl with Seven Names: Escape from North Korea by Hyeonseo.
I'm reading Caroline Eden's 'Cold Kitchen' a memoir about food and travel, it's evocative.
💕😀xx thanks Mercedes.
So many books and so little time. The ever expanding and groaning tbr!

I listened to How to Say Babylon on audio earlier this year and really enjoyed it :)

I'm not sure where Toni Jensen is from. I'm sure she must have mentioned it in the memoir but I can't remember.

Inferno is only 99p on Kindle I believe. I bought it last week.
Some great books there, have added Inferno to my list.
