I ACTUALLY LOVE THIS, IT FOLLOWS THE STORY I love the implications at 1:25 that the wolf is howling while the witch is trying to summon him with another spell Also, her hair graying. And the- I could say so much about this, you’ve done something I never could, and i need more. God, this made me cry.
My favorite part was that he was going ‘howl’ until the very last one in the song, where he went ‘owl’.... Latin Doesn’t pronounce h sounds.... so he learned a little!!

I think I got it down. He couldn't exist in her world cause it rejected him for being a summon, a spirit given form from the etherius of his own plane of existence. Thus he couldn't stay in her world for long. She had to sacrifice her own life and flesh to stabilize his own existance in her's.
