I’ve been around horses my whole life, I’ve watched expert Horsemanship from various styles and disciplines. With that said, I came here to tell you and anyone else who cares to hear an old horsewoman’s opinion, that you Steve are absolutely, positively without question the very top of the heap. Your honest, selfless approach and pure love of animals is absolutely second to none. Your care and patience with humans of every level of horsemanship is impressive and should be a model for every other horse/people trainer. Well done. 👏
I love hearing Tanya's quiet chuckle when a horse first shows signs of connection with Steve. She's clearly seen it happen a thousand times but it still tickles her every time!
I love your training methods. My dad was a trainer in Canada for side saddle jumpers and when I said I wanted to buy my first horse and train it myself he said to go watch a herd and when I could tell him who was in charge I could buy my first horse. It took me a whole summer but I learned it wasn't the stallion but the lead mare. Studying the herd taught me so much. I love your connection with every horse because it is always different and focused on why they have the fears and anxieties that they. So sad to say most of their behaviors come from human mishandling. Love your videos. The paint mare I bought back in 1970 turned out to be the best horse I have ever had and she passed away at 32. Rest in peace Missy.
Fell ponies were used as pack horses in the fell terrain as they could go where a cart couldn't, so they needed to be stocky and sure-footed. He's a lovely little chap who is bright and realises he has a leader in Steve. Calm and confidence are the basis for working with horses and dogs.
Wasn’t Emma the same pony who was at her funeral as her hearse went by? Standing alone on the grass with her handler. Was very sweet to see as well as sad.
What a nice pony! He is very kind needs to be treated guietly and gently and he will be delightful. He is not sluggish and will be very easy to ride, no pushing necessary.
Fell ponies are so beautiful. This one is absolutely gorgeous… kudos to Linda for giving this beautiful boy a chance. As always Steve has worked his magic on this terrified pony. Linda will have a lovely boy in the end with patience and kindness.
This is one of the most satisfying videos that I’ve seen. What a lovely boy! He was soaking it up like a sponge. I would love to see an update on Linda and her pony. What a wonderful lady; you can tell that she loves this horse, and will put the time into him. Thanks so very much for sharing your abundant knowledge and wisdom.with all of us
I love that magic moment when the horse realizes, "Hey, this guy speaks my language. This is great! We can communicate with each other. I feel better already!"
What a beautiful pony, he seemed to really enjoy his session with Steve. I learned to ride as a child on a Fell pony and they are so sweet natured when happy and content. Linda will have a lot of fun with him.
Love your videos, every bit of them from map of where you are headed to the happy trails sign off. Never change, never think they are too long. Thank you Steve and Tanya, we love you guys ❤
Thank you Steve and I think she will get her confidence in working with this beautiful Fell pony. She's used to horses and has his best interest at heart and they will get onto the same page together. Wow her place was like stepping back a hundred years. Just awesome. Thank you Tanya for your filming.
There are a lot of things I love about these videoes. In some aspects it reminds me of the amazing books of James Herriot, with the English landscape and the conversations, and in some ways, they have a ducumentary aspect. But my favourite part is the amazing lead characters, the long time married couple that are absolutely lovely and show us the amount of love and respect they have for eachother. ❤️🇳🇴
A smart pony. Adorable in his stockiness. Looks like Linda has a lovely future with him. Thanks to you all for working with people & their horses to make better lives. Best to you.
He’s a Beauty! & reminds me of a black Shetland pony my family rescued at 10 years old, (she was 10, as myself) 💜💜 She was the same, spooky from mishandling from her past. She ended up, trusting me completely. I was the only one who could ride her. I rode her every day after school. She was the best thing to ever happen to me. She taught me so much, Despite horrible experiences in her past. Lovely work Steve, I agree, Not ready for saddle yet. Seems with lots of training & Love he’ll be amazing for the right person.🎉 Cheers 💜⭐️💜
Absolutely loved watching the entire video. I learned a great deal. Stout horse and yes Linda needs to take lots of ground time. If she does that the results will be more safe. If she tries to rush it, it will all fall apart. I wish there would have been the same opportunity for the Fell pony she sold that she said was aggressive and would but. The poor thing is misunderstood. He will probably have a traumatic end. It’s not horses that need to learn, it’s humans. Blessings to Steve & Tanya.
What an absolute Blessing you are to these precious horses. Thank God for you and your skills. Never seen anyone so invested never seen someone more in tune to what a horse is feeling or thinking. What a treasure you both are
I love the longer videos!! Please, please ignore all the stupid youtube algorithm stuff. We horse people are different and love every second. Personally I'd even prefer if you'd go back to 2 hour videos.... ❤
What a nice little pony! When his spirit lifted , his fears calmed and he knew what to do, he just started to give and give and give. I think Linda, with some work, is going to have a wonderful companion to explore with on those gorgeous, rolling green hills around their home! I hope she’ll get another Fell pony friend for him. Maybe train them to pull a family cart as well?! Best of luck, Linda! Great work, Steve! ❤️👍😊🐎
I'm another vintage horsewoman who directs people to your videos all the time. People are always asking me to recommend a trainer, and there just are so few and far between here in northeast USA. We need a Steve traveling around NY, I'm too old to do it anymore, the speed, agility and strength are worn out, thankfully some reflexes still work
What a lovely pony! I’d love a Dales or Fell pony but they aren’t common in the US. A beautiful place and really nice lady as well. Steve brilliant as always.❤
Im absolutely terrified of horses, but I love them from afar and to be able to see you help these horses show off their beautiful natures is just a blessing for me..
I am a fan of Chris Cox and Clinton Anderson. Having watched them and then watching you, so many good trainers have that perfect timing to give release at just the right moment. All of you seem to understand that what horses want the most is release. It gives them security. Being able to get them to feel in control while having them do what you want, then giving them time to "soak", to absorb the lesson, is key in them retaining what they learned and only those sessions that end with the horse relaxed and on a win are to be considered a success. Well done, Sir
What a gorgeous animal and so smart! You could see where he got it....probably for the first time without force and the lightbulb clicked. What a wonderful thing to see...thank you!
Oh I loved this video. Even though we immigrated to the US in 1965, it’s the sight of the glorious fields that just makes my heart swell. Linda was so lovely and her place is the stuff of childhood dreams. That fell pony was so beautiful - I immediately thought of the Queen with hers😊. Thank you for sharing your knowledge (wish I had someone like you 35 years ago when I had my horse) and for making a difference. 😊
This pony reminds me very much of my Friesian/quarter horse cross mare. She’s 15 hands, very smart and opinionated! Steve’s videos, along with my barn buddies have helped me so much - lots of ground work, trying to soften her , etc etc. After a year and a half, our relationship has improved remarkably. She knew nothing when I bought her and I knew very little myself. Keep going Linda, never give up! I’m 68 and feel very lucky to be able to go to the barn almost everyday. She keeps me going!
The queen was particularly fond of Fell ponies ❤. I think they are utterly adorable yes brave and secure. This chaps wonderful. Hope u continue and enjoy your time together and have lots of beautiful rides and time together in that beautiful countryside
I used to resocialize rescue dogs & rehome them. It's hard emotionally but if we kept everyone then we couldn't help some other animal out there in a bad place & give them what they need to flourish & be in a place where they can move on to a new & better life. You take great care of all your horses & love them all. You have to plan each day so to make sure each horse gets what they need for care, training & love. When you decide a horse is ready to move on to the next phase of their life, I have no doubt whatsoever that you know the home you have picked will match up to the horse's needs & capabilities. Horses need to have a job, there is a huge difference in how they act when you give them a purpose, it strengthens the bond between owner & horse. The new owners will have more free time to devote to this training & advancement. I just don't see how becoming the center of attention can be a bad thing for the horse. You'd be more selfish to keep them all just cuz you love them, especially when your path has led you to saving, finding what they'd excel at & rehoming them to someone that would help them to reach that. You just keep doing you & let the naysayers feel how they feel. God Bless
What a wonderful pony. He’d be great to ride but just need the comfort of knowing what to do so the missing ground work is vital. He’s almost as handsome as Steve, don’t you reckon, Tanya? The ponys beautiful tail, broad short back and wonderfully round bum is just what I’d be looking for in a palfrey. As usual, almost bored saying it, Steve was just what he needs. Good luck, Linda. I hope he’s your dream horse friend.
Thank you all .... This is my relaxation viewing on nights off.... ..after working with people with physical and mental health problems. Love every video...and the positive vibes after your visits Steve... Regards keep going....retired rider..
Linda's horses are beautiful and it looks like she really understands and takes wonderful care of them. Your help and advice should make the difference she's looking for. Great video.
STEVE YOU ARE ALL WAYS SO AMAZZING LOVE TO SEE YOU WORK WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE AS AMAZZED AS WELL BY WHAT YOU DUE WITH ANIMALS ==JUST AMAZZING THANKS FOR THE VIDO🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love Fell ponies ❤ I hope to have one someday. Good on the lady wanting the groundwork done, it baffles me how some people try to get on and ride without doing groundwork! 🤯
It's beautiful beautiful little horse. I think Linda has such a desire that they'll both get along just great and have a lovely life together and be happy. Thank you Steve, thank you Tanya. God bless you from Florida panhandle USA 👋
She done a good job considering some of the groundwork was covered, he just needed someone who he could mentally connect him thru leadership and trust, takes a special kind of person to do that and steve done a fantastic job. Well done
I appreciate how you just keep things moving and make sure the human is comprehending. Linda already started great with him. She likes the ground work too. That is important! I love all the interaction and groundwork I do with my horses and mules. It is key in securing the rides of the future!! Great video.
what a beautiful pony - he's so big! i love watching you and Tanya, in the car, and eating all that bad but delicious food. my mouth waters. i can almost smell the horses. i miss riding so much (chronic Lyme Disease), and i love your approach to horses. you are exactly right on the money! the proof is in the videos! the horses love you and are grateful for you - they know you are helping them, eventually! watching from Waldoboro, Maine USA (Midcoast Maine) but a Boston native....
What a beautiful pony he is! 🐎💕💖 But also that furry Galloway on your way to Linda was just cuuuute 🐃💕 Great video like always. Thanks for sharing, Steve and Tanya
I watched the movie ,Buck, with my wife who rode as a child bareback. Her horse would come to the porch so she could get on. How he learned that I have no idea. OR if he did he would edit it out. I feel you would never do that to any owner make her cry.......I really like the look of this fells? pony. He is stocky like me. What a fine looking horse. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your horse training videos. My sister rode. She had a quarter horse AMBER Joy. She rode local trails. Firm but kind.
Thank you Steve and Tania I really enjoyed this video you made Linda very happy and her son Ross not to mention that stunning fell pony you worked your magic there mate I thought that you would have got in your car and pissed off but thank god you didn’t he’s a clever boy poor thing had a bad start thank goodnesss you wee able to help them all.thanks again guy ✨🙏✨
Oh yes, got a lot out of that one, especially the added cues with the leg as well as to be sure to stabilize the hands when applying pressure so the release is not a jerk.

Amen
Amen to that. Horses, as well as other animals, matter. They are wonderful and should be treated well. Thank you for caring 💖 💓 and being human.
Beautifully said! ❤
My thoughts exactly, but better said!
So many ponies, so little time. The world needs more Steve Youngs!
I love hearing Tanya's quiet chuckle when a horse first shows signs of connection with Steve. She's clearly seen it happen a thousand times but it still tickles her every time!
That little guy loves Steve! So cute
that horse has a beautiful nature, not nasty at all and a wonderful mind he has.
Been waiting for my weekend fix! What a glorious little Fell pony. I hope this lovely lady enjoys him for many years!
I love your training methods. My dad was a trainer in Canada for side saddle jumpers and when I said I wanted to buy my first horse and train it myself he said to go watch a herd and when I could tell him who was in charge I could buy my first horse. Absolutely stunning young horse. His eyes, coloring are beautiful. I can see why Linda is keeping his training going. Well done!
Fell ponies were used as pack horses in the fell terrain as they could go where a cart couldn't, so they needed to be stocky and sure-footed. He's a lovely little chap who is bright and realises he has a leader in Steve. Calm and confidence are the basis for working with horses and dogs.
Silly me! I thought most viewers wouldn't catch the word "Fell," but multiple "hits." So glad!
The Queen had a favourite Fellpony Emma. Very nice horses ❤
Thank you for telling us her name. ❤I loved the pictures of the Queen on her Fell Pony.
Wasn’t Emma the same pony who was at her funeral as her hearse went by? Standing alone on the grass with her handler. Was very sweet to see as well as sad.
@@FredaFlynn2008 Exactly, that was Emma.
Wow, you can really see him listening to Steve and then trying to do what Steve wants him to do. He such a smart pony!
I could see such a change in his eye! you could sense he was starting to, at last, find relief from feeling so frightened.
What a nice pony! He is very kind needs to be treated guietly and gently and he will be delightful. He is not sluggish and will be very easy to ride, no pushing necessary.
I love that little horse
What a handsome pony. He really took to you, understood you were fair and kind.
I love that little horse..what a beautiful breed..thank you for helping him
Fell ponies are so beautiful. This one is absolutely gorgeous… kudos to Linda for giving this beautiful boy a chance. As always Steve has worked his magic on this terrified pony. Linda will have a lovely boy in the end with patience and kindness.

Thank you for helping that woman with her horse watching from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
I’m watching faithfully from Ontario Canada ❤🇨🇦 Wouldn’t miss an episode!! Especially after Steve’s eating horse dewormer video!!
I love that magic moment when the horse realizes, "Hey, this guy speaks my language. This is great! We can communicate with each other. I feel better already!"
In her senior years, Queen Elizabeth rode Fell ponies. 😊
What a dear, kind animal this pony is. Not a spiteful cell in him. And what a fabulous tail!!
watched again - such a good tempered and kind pony. And how sweet he was licking his lips after the lick.
What a beautiful pony, he seemed to really enjoy his session with Steve. I learned to ride as a child on a Fell pony and they are so sweet natured when happy and content. Linda will have a lot of fun with him.
You are always welcome to have your videos 1.5 to 2.5 hours!!!
❤Happy trails to you until we meet again. Ok are you singing his song. Roy Rodgers king of the cowboys. Loved watching him. 😊
Love your videos, every bit of them from map of where you are headed to the happy trails sign off. Never change, never think they are too long. Thank you Steve and Tanya, we love you guys ❤
I absolutely LOVE watching these sessions. I can't get enough of them. A real joy. Thank you. 😊 Utah
Thank you Steve and I think she will get her confidence in working with this beautiful Fell pony. She's used to horses and has his best interest at heart and they will get onto the same page together.
Wow her place was like stepping back a hundred years. Just awesome.
Thank you Tanya for your filming.
He absolutely 1000% Loves driving. Congrats hes an abundance of Love!!!
It seemed that you brought out the good side of this horse. 😊
Well done Steve! What a genuine pony too! 😊
That is one smart pony, really impressed.
Horse is pure muscle and so smart....

this big boy has the softest most beautiful eyes. I'm always so impressed with how you work with these horses
what a lovely, handsome, sturdy little dude 🌿💗🌿

What a lovely pony! I’d love a Dales or Fell pony but they aren’t common in the US. A beautiful place and really nice lady as well. Steve brilliant as always.❤
Your handling of this beautiful fell pony was remarkable! Thank you for sharing your amazing work with us.
I think you did a great job! The horse was unsure at first, but the more you worked with him, the better he got.
I love it when Steve asks Tanya what she thinks.
Fell ponies are such beautiful driving ponies, very elegant and sporty.
Im absolutely terrified of horses, but I love them from afar and to be able to see you help these horses show off their beautiful natures is just a blessing for me..

What a beautiful horse what a lovely lady. I know she'll take what you say, and learn from it.
Love this! I want to go live with Linda on her beautiful farm with that adorable horse. Maybe she needs a 70 year old friend and helper?
The Fell pony what a bruiser. I want one. So cute! A good mind so sad he had a rough start. Hope he and Linda have many happy years together
Wonderful work, as always. What a beautiful, delightful pony❤️

Beautiful little pony. Not looking away from the flag because the last time in the stable the answer was to look towards?

Regards keep going....retired rider..
Linda's horses are beautiful and it looks like she really understands and takes wonderful care of them. Your help and advice should make the difference she's looking for. Great video.
Beautiful pony. Steve teaches me SO much. I try to be as much of a sponge as I can and take it in-understand/process/remember.
What a beautiful pony so handsome wonderful Linda wanting to soak up all the wisdom from Steve. All the best for the future
Thank you Steve and Tanya for another great video! He's a beautiful horse and was so much calmer and less frightened after Steve showed him the way!
STEVE YOU ARE ALL WAYS SO AMAZZING LOVE TO SEE YOU WORK WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE AS AMAZZED AS WELL BY WHAT YOU DUE WITH ANIMALS ==JUST AMAZZING THANKS FOR THE VIDO🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is great!😊 I'm 55 seconds, in, and I feel buckled up, and headed out, with Tanya and Steve on a trip😊🙌🐎🌻
What a beautiful pony, you always make it look so easy
Lovely carnations Tanya. They must be my favourite flower. And in my flower box they are hardy too and pest free.
I just have to say, how cute Steve sounds when he says, "see this is fine, boy"...... to the pony lol, his voice goes up 10 octaves....
Steve you definitely helped pony 🐴 but a long way off for her to ride,❤❤😊
She done a good job considering some of the groundwork was covered, he just needed someone who he could mentally connect him thru leadership and trust, takes a special kind of person to do that and steve done a fantastic job.
Well done
They probably tidied up prior to your coming, but what a stark contrast to Jimmy's stable!
I appreciate how you just keep things moving and make sure the human is comprehending. Linda already started great with him. She likes the ground work too. That is important! I love all the interaction and groundwork I do with my horses and mules. It is key in securing the rides of the future!! Great video.

What a beautiful pony he is! 🐎💕💖
But also that furry Galloway on your way to Linda was just cuuuute 🐃💕
Great video like always. Thanks for sharing, Steve and Tanya
He so wants to please.
What a lovely pony ❤❤
I rode a fell pony once. Lovely steady ride, particularly for someone who's not experienced.
You have a lovely family and horse accomodations
Absolutely fantastic. Thank you. Christine
Lovely lady not over keen on the fell pony but this was a smart one well done
He seems very smart!
Soo good to watch Steve gradually improve the Pony. Wonderful Steve please let me know how Linda is going.
I watched the movie ,Buck, with my wife who rode as a child bareback. Her horse would come to the porch so she could get on. How he learned that I have no idea. he was loving Steve I think. lol

Unbelievable.changed horse.thanks for the video.❤
Oh yes, got a lot out of that one, especially the added cues with the leg as well as to be sure to stabilize the hands when applying pressure so the release is not a jerk.
It’s hard, wanting to be on the subscription site, and not being able to. I do appreciate you showing us what you can.
