Very tricky puzzle. In Connections, I had one guess remaining, but I was able to name all the categories. Each guess was correctly identifying each category, with me getting the green on the first guess and being one away on the rest.
I solved Strands without understanding the theme, but without using any hints. Duh! I found “divide” and “watch” first, and just grew mystified as I found another mismatched word, “forget,” then “useful advice.” Finally understood the theme when I saw your solve. Clever puzzle!

Long time viewer, first time poster. I generally like your longer Strands efforts, and Connections as well. If I don't want to watch all your thought processes as they occur each day, on those occasions I can jump ahead by small amounts until I get to the juicy parts. But I can understand others preferring more bare bones presentations. Dead air time can be a turnoff, for sure. I'm always interested in hearing about other scoring methods for Connections and Strands; I TRY to guess each category name in Connections, but still give myself the "Win" if I make it out alive. QUOTE threw me off since quotations marks come in pairs but then I couldn't see anything with the GREon the bottom that would have been forced. Finally seeing FORGET was the key to unlocking everything, as I looked for FORGIVE right away and looked for CONQUER after seeing DIVIDE and WATCH and LEARN. Strands: I tried so hard to get that blasted Spangram first! I saw "Useful", but I just couldn't visualize the word after it without putting any answers in.
