Liverpool Scene were from Liverpool big style.They were all poets and very well known in uK generally and not just on merseydide.Think you are thinking of Liverpool 5 who were on RCA and were NOT from Liverpool or I think we're from USA.

I believe you are correct I was probably thinking of Liverpool 5. Fun fact I am originally from Widnes just down the Mersey from Liverpool. My Dad and Grandfather (and several other generations lost to time) used to work/sail out of the Liverpool Docks
