Vids of my weekly Garage Sale, Thrift Store and Flea Market Finds. Focussing mainly on collectables, vinyl records, vintage goods, vintage advertising signs, comics, trading cards, vintage toys, antiques and Mid Century Modern items. I throw a vinyl video in occasionally for good measure.
Estate Sale Vinyl Records Score ! Pink Floyd The Beatles The Doors Clapton Zappa ect.
I love unexpected record finds! I was called in to look at some vintage funky lamps from a family that was clearing out the estate of a family member, and getting the house ready to go up for sale. As I was down in the basement looking at the lamps, I happened to notice a crate of records in the corner. I asked if they were for sale and they said yes!
Check out what I find

So it’s been a few weeks since I last posted. That’s because I haven’t found much out in the wild lately. It’s getting colder here in Ontario Canada and the garage sales have pretty much dried up. Luckily I have a retail store and people bring stuff in to me to sell. Case in point. A gentleman who is downsizing his many collections brought in a few boxes of vintage handheld electronic video gam...

So it’s been a few weeks since I last posted. That’s because I haven’t found much out in the wild lately. It’s getting colder here in Ontario Canada and the garage sales have pretty much dried up. Luckily I have what I call my Vinyl Dungeon. Which sounds ominous but is actually a storage space that I keep all my overstock from over the last 20 years for the store. Once you see it you will get w...

Who loves free records? THIS GUY! My town dump has a place for people to drop of stuff that they think other people may want. I have found video game collections, M&M Peanusts life size plastic store display figure , vintage Christmas ornaments, books, CD’s even a pinball machine (well parts of one anyway). However my best find was the first one I ever came across nearly a year ago. it was a tu...

So this just doesn’t happen much anymore. In the same month I have found Black Flag and Dead Kennedy’s records at a Garage Sales. Seriously go back and watch my Vinyl finds playlist and it just hasn’t happened. But here we are. 2 weeks ago I scored an epic find of Punk and Metal at a garage sale, and now this week I get some more Punk and well as some 1989-90’s pressings. I also got a box of ov...

Was intrigued by the Clapton album with his face on the cover. Don't think I've seen that before. Can you tell me the title please? Nice post.
It’s a 1973 compilation of previously released songs
Nice score of records and that you gave them more money than what they asked for, says a lot about your character. Thumbs up !!
Thanks for the kind words. I still got a great deal and I can sleep at night lol
I am looking for hundreds of loose vinyl and covers (orphan records) and have quite a selection to offer (Montreal). In the business and a collector for 40+ years. Let me know if you need any ...always willing to trade. You wouldn't happen to have a cover of A Passing Fancy by chance? Tomorrow,I probably will be acquiring a huge selection of orphan covers and vinyl from a top tier collector....even has CD racks in his kitchen !
I have a few empty sleeves, but nothing super special
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 Thanks anyway.
Nice find. I’ll have to check out that Neil Young. The man has quite a discography. I just read one of his autobiographies, he’ll very briefly write about meeting Charles Manson and then there will be a hundred pages about model trains 😂
On the beach is such a hidden jewel. He is apparently obsessed with toy train. He even invented some kind of computerized automation system for train sets.
Nice pick up Jay love all those whole games
It’s been such fun testing them all out, and surprisingly most still work!
i want that space invaders and the zaxxon! nice scores man!
Very cool handhelds Jay! I scored the first 2 Cramps lps today at the Dixie Lakeshore antique market mint OG Canada !
Nice I haven’t found a cramps record in the wild in years
Backstreet’s alright!
Backstreets Back!
@ lol that’s what I meant to type.
I don’t know how I still don’t have that B52s record after 20 years of collecting
That is an essential piece of listening!
Little Jimmy Dickens is signed.
I didn’t notice that, at first.
The vinyl dungeon is spooky. There’s at least one furry spider down there
There are a few.
Join the club... its slow !
Good to know it’s not just me lol
You’re lucky. You have an outlet to get rid of stuff. Selling 100+ records, without giving them away, is a long process.
Having a store makes it easier
Nice haul, you got a bit carried away on the Northern Pikes, but the rest was cool.
I do tend to ramble on often
A few nice ones there for sure 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Yeah. As an added bonus I realized that the Pistols’ is the Brown Translucent version, when I was cleaning it.
David Allan coe
So good
Some great records there if they’re in good condition. Spotted a Bobby Bare, Glaser, two artists in the outlaw movement. Those Owens records from the sixties are killer. Shaking’ Stevens was a British rockabilly star in the 80s. He was supposed to be one of the biggest sellers there back in the day. I’m a music fan and listen to a wide variety of genres, country included. Remember what they say, if you got it, a truck brought it😁😂. Free records can’t be beat. Cheers.
I pulled a bunch out for my personal collection. One of those shakin Steven’s turned out to be a fairly rare sought after one. This is the second time I got records from this dump. I hit it twice a week now lol
that hugh masekela is so good!!
It really is!
I use ti find great stuff at thrift stores. But alas Pickens have been slim ( no offense to Slim Pickens?
Yeah in the 90’s and early 2000s I used to get great stuff but now not so much
road apples
Arguably the best Tragically Hip Album. Wish it was in this lot
I know you don't particularly care for country music and you feel most people would feel the same way however I wish you would have taken the time and slowed down on this like you do other videos there is some good things in here
My apologies for that. I didn’t mean to give the impression I don’t like country. I love several country artists. The Carter family, most of the artist on the early king label, and staraday labels. I love Hank and patsy, Kris, Willie, Johnny, Waylon dolly. I just was not that interested in the particular artists who were in these bins all that much. That being said I will try and slow down next time. Cheers
Great haul! This never happens to me.
Sadly it doesn’t happen to me as often as it used to lol
Are you sure they're not the ones you threw away when you followed the crowd in the late 80s? And now you've thrown away your CDs right? 😄
Nah I have been a collector (or hoarder as by better half says) all my life. I never throw anything away. Still have my records (over 2500) and my CD (over 1500), and my tapes, and my cards, and my toys and….well you get the picture. That why I can’t leave perfectly good stuff at the dump. Even if it’s not something I personally like I am sure I can find someone who will
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 I was pulling your leg of of course - I'm a natural hoarder too. I have about 900 LPs from first time round. I have about 4000 CDs. I don't really buy vinyl now - mostly because I rarely see LPs of the kind of music I hanker for. So saying, I probably would in the States.
Great score
Thanks
Better check the comps on those Shakin' Stevenses
I will. Now you have me guessing lol.
Santo and Johnny recored sleep walk..probably one of the greatest 1950s instrumental songs of all time😊
S&J’s version of Summertime is one of the best I have ever heard.
I guess I’m just getting to that age, but seeing the level of country talent like this just left to a dumpster just makes my blood boil. Over here in Southern Cali, records of every last stripe are being given 25 and 30 dollar price tags no matter who, they don’t sell (surprise surprise), they wind up in situations like this. I don’t mean to bash the generations under about age 45 or 50, but music did not get invented with Garth Brooks and Guns & Roses. Nauseating!🤬
Love 50 s 60 s country.
Me to!
It's great these were rescued. It would have been a shame for the lot to go into landfill.
That’s what I thought!
Take them all check for good inner sleeves that may have survived
That is a good idea.
You found some cool stuff for free! I saw a couple of your video's and you have the same thing I always do: telling the same story twice to the same person!🙂(or in the same video) Must be the over 50 thing, i'll do the same!
I do tend to babble on lol
Some real nice acts in these boxes. Maybe you could edit the chat alittle, alot of repetition but an amiable host regardless.
I will work on that.
Northern Pikes ARE a great band. Still recording and touring.
True.
It's fun looking at albums sideways and the back covers...
I am to please lol
That Fendermen record looks badass.
Honestly it is amazing. I have not looked on UA-cam to see if they have anything up. If they do check out the song “Mule Skinner Blues”. It is so good
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 yah it’s great. the Cramps cover that song too
I love the cramps!
That Larry Weiss album is fantastic! He’s American, not Canadian btw. It features the original version of Rhinestone Cowboy which in my opinion is slightly better than Glen Campbell’s version
I will give it a listen. Thanks !
I’m jealous
I get it. If it didn’t happen to me I would be too lol
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 you definitely got some great finds there. Good for you though. Sometimes we get lucky, sometimes we don’t.
It will happen. You just gotta keep trying. Wayne Gretzky said you score zero percent of the shots you don’t take. Or something like that. Good look hunting
I don’t know if you missed/or didn’t know but that Blue Ridge Rangers album is John Fogerty’s first solo album
That is one I didn’t know. Thanks for pointing it out!
Thrift stores donate crap tp the dump.
Could be. Glad they do lol
I bought the first 3 northern pike albums for about $10 each on discogs. They took forever to come, I thought they had got lost, but worth it in the end
Have you seen the prices for the Snow in July album. It’s crazy
It’s odd, but I would feel guilty giving him 400 Canadian dollars. Problem is though I suppose if you say I will give you 500, he’s going to smell a rat.
He wanted a lot less originally, as you say sometimes when you offer more they can back out. Either way he was happy.
If you come across any Dissection albums let me know❤. I am huge fan and protector collector. Any old Black Metal stuff or Death Metal aswell. Just on Hamilton Mountain and am so happy to see your store. Love it!
Sadly I don’t get much Death or Black Metal stuff anymore. Most metal heads will not part with their collections lol
Here in Hamilton! Definately need to come down there, since Cheapies closed I have been using Discogs. I have a copy of that Black Flag album from SST "84 mint only paid $20 for it.
I rember buying hardcore collections back in the 90’s for a few bucks each. I even passed on some nice collections back in the day. Wish I could go back in time lol
I need that Sarasin and that Southern Deathcult! Like seriously!
The Deathcukt is going into my personal collection. I already have a copy of that Sarasin in the store
Sinead O'Connor!!!
Read her autobiography. It is an amazing read
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 I'll bet!
Do you have any records by the Warning?
No, not at this time. I don’t get many records from the 2000’s come through the store
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 Ah, that's too bad, they are a great band. Pure Rock n roll
I will give them a listen. Thanks
Discogs rip you off for posting 😢
I don’t sell on Discogs. I did when they first started, but the shipping settings got too complicated for me. Plus I love face to face selling
Pretty cool score, Dead Kennedys "Skateboard Party" is one the best bootleg DK live albums and sounds great, it was put out in 1983 on the German label Starving Missile and was partly official, in 2019 it was released on manifesto as part of the "DK 40" offical live box set, that featured some of the bands best live recordings... but Jello did approve.
I read that. It’s a pretty great boot. I found another DK and Black Flag record last week. Damaged and Gove me Conveneice with the flexi. It was in my last video.
There's a lota crap too
There always is.
You're gonna crease the sleeves pulling them down while letting all the weight of the previous ones shove against them. At least slide them up as you flip...
20 years and not a creased sleeve yet.
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 with your own collection do whatever you want. Snip a lil piece off and burn it sacrifice each time for all anyone cares. But if you're gonna put products on a shelf for sale at least handle them with a bit of respect for the consumer.
Thats 20 years retails selling records in the store. No complaints. Not one record creased or damaged in that time. Must be doing something right
@@timecapsuledunnville5133 you realize I'm talking about the sleeve fatiguing over time the more you do this right... Not some aggressive fold over. You're clearly adding wear to the sleeves, whether it's a huge impact or not is a matter of opinion but you're literally adding unnecessary wear to an item people typically purchase as part of a collection. But I guess go ahead keep your head all the way up there, you seem cozy with it.
Just stumbled upon this thumbnail and you seem to be a very genuine guy, which is a rare quality as a reseller, so congrats to this great find, hope I will come across some Black Flag out in the wild, too, but it's not easy around here :) greetings from Budapest!
Thanks. It’s honestly not often that I get back flag, or any hardcore records in the wild. Maybe once a year if I am lucky. However I had two finds in the last month lol. I bought another small collection that had Black Flag and Dead Kennedys and Ramones ect. I posted it a few weeks back. I was a collector first, before I started re-selling. I think that makes a difference. There are some people who just got into it to make money because “record are hot right now”. Luckily those guys don’t last too long.
Not sure if you know but " Southern Death Cult " were The Cult before they became the Cult .
Yes it was Ian’s first band.
