I have the pixel watch and I am, overall, very satisfied with it. The subscription service for Fitbit Premium is a very big sticking point as with a premium price for the watch I think the service should be included, especially as it's all in the Google ecosystem. The battery life hasn't been a big issue as I don't have the always on display chosen but you have to commit to charging within the 20-24 hour cycle. As an early adopter I hope Google improves this device through meaningful software updates to keep it relevant. By the way Damien an EXCELLENT review as usual!
I don't understand why everyone seems to have such a bad battery life. I have everything turned on, including AOD and sleep tracking over night, and I still have 30-40% battery left after 24 hours. Couldn't be happier with it.
Yeah same here. It's literally the same behaviors I had with my Apple watch. I can have it all day no matter what. Even do sleep tracking overnight and then I charge it when I hop in a shower the next morning and it's at 100% when I get dressed and rinse and repeat.
Like I understand some people wanting two to three days battery life without having to do that one charge up at all but it's really not an inconvenience.
Plus it charges so quickly!
Yep. I get a full day, including an hour in the gym every day. I charge in the morning while I'm getting ready and I'm good until the following morning. I use AOD and have nothing turned off.
Yeah, I'm getting ~60% battery left after ~16 hrs of wear time. Minimum brightness (which is more than bright enough, esp with Adaptive Brightness), Tilt-to-Wake On, Always On Display Off.
TBH I dont have any problem with the Pixel watch Battery life. I had a galaxy watch before it so i know what a good battery life is.

Got yesterday a new galaxy watch 4 (44mm) for 111 euro@BF....that's the versus in practice.
Kinda miss mine. I returned mine whilst still in its return window and yeah the galaxy watch is better, but there's something about the build and Google's wear os that I prefer than the galaxy watch.
I got my Pixel Watch pre-order gift just yesterday ( bought from third party ) and so far so good. The battery definitely isn't fantastic but just over 24 hours after my first charge and it still has 20 odd % remaining.

I wasn't and I'm still not expecting much more from the watch but I'm sure it will improve at least slightly in another month or two. I won't be considered a heavy user so it isn't that bad for me but I can see how it would be dead before the day ends with heavy use.
I definitely wouldn't have bought this watch at £379. It is a bit much, but then so are all of the Pixel Buds when you consider the competition at the same prices.
I think I would have preferred a slightly larger face, it isn't bad but I would have liked a little more.
I have the time set always on and other than watch face that is the only setting I changed.
Just like you, time, date, weather and step count are all I want from the watch, with the other options available if in the unlikely event they're needed.
Don't forget the free Fitbit Premium for 6 months 😄

I haven’t had any issues with my Pixel Watch really. I have consistently gotten around 32 to 36 hours of battery life on my watch. It’s the WiFi model and I also don’t have every single notification coming to my wrist. Only texts and calls
I've had my watch about a week and I love it. It's very smooth and I don't see why people complain about it. It's super bright, great performance, decent battery, and it connects smoothly. I had an Apple watch 3 and to me this Pixel watch in my opinion is much better. It isn't perfect but I do think these tech reviewers trash this watch unfairly. This is essentially the android version of an Apple watch but with more customization.
I got it for free after pre-ordering the 7 pro and I quite like it. Makes it quick to see and react to messages without constantly having to take your phone out of your pocket. I definitely wouldn't have bought it at £379
I love mine. I run with mine and the GPS is extremely accurate he should test it. I have it set up to let me know when I pass every mile so I can keep pace during my runs as I train for marathons. The sleep tracker is dead on. The information is well worth the subscription and yes you have to pay for a subscription with apple. And charge that watch also. I put my pixel watch on the charger for 20 minutes while I get ready for bed and it is almost if not 100 percent. This watch is just going to get better
Screen too small. Battery life sucks. Other than that, it's a real nice try. I sent mine back after one day of frustrations
I think the pixel watch socks a big one. I didn't appreciate being kicked off a stepping challenge. W/o any notice. But then again who like to lose money. They put down on themselves. It socks don't waste your money.
Pixel Watch is yet another massive fail from Google. As a Google fanboy I am so disappointed with the Pixel Watch, straight to Ebay 3/10
Don't make sense this watch get wear os 3.5 with old Samsung processor and the Ticwatch still running 2.38 wear os with snapdragon 4100.🙄
I was very disappointed with it. Too small for me and too small for my wife. Crap battery life and having to install and sign up for Fitbit is ridiculous. No wonder they were giving then away with a 7 pro. Can you imagine apple ever doing that. I wasn’t bothered with the bezels or the older cpu.
