Listen, he has your ig. He has friends. If he really lost his phone like that BUT cared about going on a date with you, he would’ve found a way to contact you before Monday at 6PM.

I really appreciate the gender roles talk, especially with our rapidly evolving social norms now. I ALWAYS offer to pay but I'm also a traditional dater so I wait for the guy to ask me out and I believe that the person who initiates the date always pays. The one time I had my card ready to hand to the server, no questions asked, was when I was running 20 min late to the date so I knew in the car over that I had to make it up to him. And boy was it hot how flustered he was that I had it covered. And he was so grateful and since then he's always paid

Responding to Steph’s ghostly guy who lost his phone in the car, even if he was without his phone until the day of the hangout, for him to message her literally the moment they were supposed to meet up is very sus and just inconsiderate. He could have messaged her hours before that to give her the scoop on his recent radio silence and then check in to see if she still wanted to hang at the planned time. If she does decide to keep talking to him that’s definitely strike 1 for him.
