In the back , yes, remove those. Loosen the one in the front, you never know how steep the ramp or slippery the bunks or rollers are. Halfway down the ramp is no place to have your boat sliding backwards.
I came across this video and WOW this is very informative great job on this. Not only does this apply in KY but it's the same in LA. Just in my parish we have over 500 sq miles of navigable water ways and our local SO, WL&F and Coast Guard stay busy. The boat launch etiquette is spot on along with boat safety. I always said most incidents could have been avoided before one has left the house or boat launch. The points made in this video I was taught growing up. Once again nice job on his video.

Where do you get the inflatable life vests shown here?
It's an inflatable life jacket made by "Mustang". You should be able to find them at most stores that sell boating accessories.
