A corked bat easily beans balls into the stands. Only for crowd interactions and practice sessions. It increases the amount of air in the bat and cork always springs back to shape immediately creating a rubber effect. It’s also very light. A wood bat is usually oak or pine with no room inside, it’s completely solid.

One person I'm surprised wasn't mentioned was Rosie Ruiz. It looked as though she had won in the women's division of the 1980 Boston Marathon, but she was soon stripped of her win. Apparently she had managed to jump into the race only about a mile away from the finish, and many officials didn't recall seeing her run anywhere else along the marathon route.

There was one somewhat recently from a Russian woman. She was in the middle of a chess game, when her opponent started having odd symptoms and required medical attention. Officials reviewed security footage and found the woman had snuck into the playing hall between rounds and was acting suspicious in front of her future opponent's side of the board. Testing confirmed it was murcury from a broken thermometer being spread on the pieces that led to poisioning. She forfeited the game, got kicked out of the tournament and was criminally charged for it.

A curved stick adds power to the hit. It’s only used during crowd fun when players put balls or soft pucks into the crowd. That’s usually before games. It’s the same with corked bats as players blast home run balls into the crowd.

Batters use pine tar to get a better grip on the bat, that's legal, the problem is when pitchers use the stuff to doctor the baseball. Adding pine tar can affect the balance and wind resistance of the ball, making breaking pitches cut harder.

    Kabir,
When it comes to Dwight Howard, the stick-um he used on his hands helped make it easier for him to catch lob passes in mid-air & dunk the ball. It never crossed Dwight Howard's mind to expand his shooting range to more than three feet from the basket. He thought that he could rely completely on his athleticism throughout his career. The problem us that father time is undefeated, and one's athleticism generally begins to diminish at age 30. He could have been a Hall of Famer if he expanded his shooting range, but that will never happen. By the way, I was not expecting him to shoot three-pointers. In fact, he could gave just greatly improved his shooting within 12 feet of the basket.

Greeting from Texas my friend. I really enjoy your videos. You’re genuine in your curiosity and it certainly comes across. As a massive NFL fan watching you dive into that world has been very entertaining. Additionally, often your takes and opinions about things point to a common sense of right, wrong and in general upholding of western values even though I’m a big bearded Texan and very different than you we can still agree, get along and have a good time with things.

The badminton tournament at the Olympics was just bad. Basically they played a round Robin but each loser would face the bottom team. It was advantageous to lose a match to face an opponent they knew would tie. It was decided on points for win, loss, and draw. The most points moved on. The idea of Asian teams was to lose constantly so they would face a team that was basically going to lose too. The Olympic committee immediately stepped in as if they didn’t play for real then they would be kicked out.

Resto is a piece of shit for that.
I once asked for 2xl gloves, for an MMA match, although I wear 1xl.
Didnt even break the padding down, the night after weigh ins.
Just because I knew I was over matched against my opponent in stand up.
I lost by rnc, but, I'd rather it that way, than to hurt someone like he did.

A corked bat is a specially modified baseball bat that has been filled with cork or other lighter, less dense substances to make the bat lighter. A lighter bat gives a hitter a quicker swing. Using it in play is illegal and subject to ejection and further punishment.

Corking a baseball bat, or filling it with a lighter substance to make it easier to swing, has some effects but is not allowed in Major League Baseball and can result in ejection and other punishment:
    Faster swing speed
A lighter bat allows the batter to swing faster, which can improve their timing.
    Less effective collision
A lighter bat has less mass, which means the collision between the bat and ball is less effective.
    Softened collision
The cork makes the bat act more like a sponge, absorbing some of the impact when it hits the ball.
    Reduced distance
A study by Alan Nathan at the University of Illinois found that corked bats don't allow balls to be hit any further.
    Improved ball placement
A lighter bat can help a batter get around on a pitch quicker, allowing them more time to judge the ball's path and adjust their swing.

The only sport where cheating is “acceptable” is Nascar. I think you reacted to a video talking about it. It’s kind of a gray area because if something isn’t in the rules teams will try to manipulate the car to be faster and still pass pre and post race inspection.

Some information on the bat and why cork would be cheating. Corking a bat lessened the weight of the bat and allows for a faster swing.
I played for several years and usually used a 27 oz bat. A 28 oz bat, i would swing too slow and struck out a lot. A 26 oz bat, i would swing too early and would foul off the pitch or possibly go opposite field for a bloop hit ( it didn't happen much).

you skipped over the Will Smith segment but I'm assuming the woman in the video said he claimed he was using Rosin and sunscreen. the reason he was so upset is because Rosin is an allowed substance, it's what's in the small white bean bag looking thing on the mound that pitchers put on their hand and arms, and obviously players wear sunscreen but when you mix those two together it gets extra sticky which increases the spin rate of the ball causing increased movement on the pitch

As a hockey fan I'll say that an improper curve of the blade of the stick results in better puck control. Also McSorley, while playing for the Boston Bruins, hit Donald Brashear in the head with a stick after Donald Brashear hit the Boston goalie, who was then taken out on a stretcher. As a Boston fan I can say McSorley was so wrong for this. Look into this moment if you haven't heard of it. It is one of the sad moments of the sport.

What bothers me about the Astro's cheating is that they won a World Series while cheating and NONE of the players have ever been punished. Rather than punishing them MLB got them to agree to admit to everything in exchange for no punishment.
All of the players stats, achievements, and accolades gotten during those cheating years stand as legitimate to this day.
I believe one of their players (Alex Bregman) the one in the video actually said on record, something to the effect of, "You gotta do everything you can to win."
