- I finally enter Burundi, and after a very joyful ride, I arrive in a beautiful hotel in Muyinga.
After settling down at the hotel, I decide to go to explore the city to find some food. After some interesting interactions with the locals, I find myself in front of a policeman who is shouting at me because I dared to film my food...
He says that, next time, he will punish me!

*_I really enjoyed the thorough analysis and the presenter’s ability to make complex concepts easy to understand. This is a must-watch!_* 😍
Zacharia very intelligent marketing the country instead of being a beggar that was so nice of him
very true
Yes Smart guy
Zacharia great man yes..bravo bravo ;)
@Mcrl-vy7fv Guys like him are the ones that should be in positions of leadership and hopefully remain incorruptible.
here to appreciate Zachariah as well, smart guy!
_*Really love how you explore new places! *_ 🗺
Much love from Kenya🇰🇪. Zecharia deserves five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for being such a Burundian patriotic by asking such a favour - marketing his country. He should be a Tourism Ambassador for Burundi. As an African I'm proud of him.
The bar beautiful inside out bar girl also deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because of hospitality. She should also be a Hospitality Ambassador for her country. These two Burundians humble as they are, are true patriots.
As for the police officer, he ought to have courtesly explain to you the rules and regulations rather than shout at you.
Please you must understand our country Burundi we are in situations not that really good it's doesn't mean the police man he does wrong. We must protect our country. Because in Burundi you cannot filming everything you see .before you have to ask .I understand he protect himself by taking video but cop's 👮♀️ ask him for reason. I Love ❤️ Burundi
the cop was beyond the duties!!! 👎👎👎.. big credit to the woman in the bar for such polite expression and patriot Zachalia 👍👍👍👍👍...... I'm watching from Rwanda 🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼
We shouldn’t give such morons too much space. The lady was a flower, so kind and helpful. That’s Burundi.
No wonder burundians are black hearted! Kivs , just proceed to the next country. And take the bar lady with you
Actually just go back to rwanda
Zacharia earned my respect.
Love from Rwanda 🇷🇼, don’t let the police man ruin your experience with Burundians they are happy souls. Even though the borders are closed but our hearts are together we are sisters and brothers.❤

We love Burundians, irrespective of the politics because they're our brothers and sistes❤ 🇷🇼🇧🇮
I would have definitely gotten myself into trouble because I would not be able to keep so calm…I would have asked him who the hell he thinks he is talking to like that! Absolutely no need for that nonsense
99.99% of the Burundians here seem to be good people, happy and living simple and peaceful lives. The children are so lovely. God bless Burundi.
What the policeman did ,spoiled all the trust for this peaceful tourist.Indescent behaviour!

Shame on this officer, I am impressed by this lady hospitality, and they tried to rip him off, but she was so honest with right price,, if we need more people like her in our African continent, drop some like 👍🏾 😎
The police is stupid there is no privacy in public places
shes the best..very honest
it his job to protect our country
Not at all. The police is right. He has to feel the way we do in his country. Our people are not free in France. We know how they live there. So he has rather to be arrested for he has no permission to do anything everywhere in Bdi as we can't do so in his country. Mutual respect plz!!
But when will slavery stop in African minds? What is wrong with the police officer? It wasn't allowed and that shouldn't be understandable by everyone. It's the police and for the good of people and the nation of the Burundi period.stop making yourself look cheap.
the girl who helped her to get food is a life saver
Him please
My heart stoped when he said can you do us a favour,.. then I was happy with what he said.
awesome was what the favor he said🎉🎉 truly zacaria is good man!
Until he met that awful police officer. Terrible optics. I'll be avoiding Burundi
You're right @@edtauch6167
Same😂😂😂, I thought he was going to beg. He needss to be interviewed
It's no shame for these miserable people to ask for money. You probably would if you were born so disadvantaged.
Guys like Zachatia are the reason why there is still hope in Africa's future.
Africa is the future, my friend.
From my perspective here in farmland USA. African nations, mostly, seem to be the most growing economies in the world. It's very impressive. These cycling videos and others like it reveal much. I only hope the people reject the degenerate values of the left as they pressure people everywhere with that nonsense cult.
@bogdar2019 it really seems you are correct.
Watching this from Kampala, Uganda and it is a reminder that Burundi is still on my bucket list. One day I will be there to enjoy some Mukeke and laughter with friends. Now about the video, Zacharia is my star. Very eloquent and patriotic. He asked for a favour and his favour is that you tell people about the beautiful country that is Burundi. Terry was such a blessing to you on that day. I feel like if I am to visit, I should be able to meet Zacharia and Terry for a drink. Such amazing souls. God bless Burundi!
I believe you will meet more zacharia than once you get there
You're welcome !
I'm very sad with This policeman of Muyinga but that restaurant woman is a Legend in English and in culture. Glad of Zacharia also

Now that's burundi . i hope Burundi has more to offer, one police officer can dim all the smiles i saw within Burundi . let keep positive . much love from Rwanda .
All police in burundi are stupid, starting by their boss… people are nice but the leaders are all evils
Woooooow i like spirits of zechariah. Real patriot to his country
Yes, l thought so too..he want the best for his country..African leaders need to change poverty affecting innocent citizens.
African leaders are idiots even the most educated.
@@rosenjiru4907They can’t because they are corrupt and selfish. Everything is about themselves and they don’t care about citizens who voted them to rule the country , they’re full of lies . Burundi used to be beautiful and clean and secure but not anymore because of hunger and poverty. I am Burundian and Tutsi and I lost many families members because of genocide against Tutsi and some Hutu moderates who are supporting Tutsi. We shouldn’t fight against each others because we’re brothers and sisters. Some Hutu are brainwashed and monsters they’re suffering from hunger like everyone else their lied to them for killing innocent civilians and now they’re refugees and living in tents others are dead. Burundi will never be the same because of corruption and bad government.
But that burundian police has a bad attitude to the visitor must have shame of that

Ooooh, that last bit of conversation with Zacharia made Yves very emotional. I had a feeling he was very short of shading a tear. Zacharia is a true Burundi patriot, quite touching
From motherland 254 Kenya...now in burundi, kino youre a legend. Whatever youre doing might be seem to be easy but it takes courage, patience and humilty to fit in every different society.KEEP IT UP KINO,TOGETHER WE TRAVEL TO S.A
Oh Zakaria. The love for your country is organic. He asked for a favour from Kino and the favour wasn't handouts but marketing their country. Burundi deserves a chance. I hope they start by fixing their relationship with neighbours. An amazing country with lovely people. The Burundians I meet in Kenya are equally friendly, and you cannot afford not to give a tip. The beautiful and kind lady reflects Zakaria's character, then a shameless cop almost ruins everything. At least we have seen many other good cops to mask the misbehaviour of that single cop.
Burundi has no problem with other neighbours except Rwanda
@@mosesturyahabwe6239Yes it does. It’s been attacked a few times from the congo. More Burundians have been killed in the congo than anywhere else abroad.

@mosesturyahabwe6239, the problems are between politicians of both sides. I think there is no rudeness among simple citizens of both countries. Citizens are brothers and sisters, they even speak similar languages.

Shame for the last encounter because the whole video was a joy to watch. Ive never been to Burundi and super interested. The lady of the resto was superfriendly. Keep it up. So great to see this region!
Indeed, the video was really great until this policeman showed up...
But anyway, this region is indeed, very interesting to visit. It's so different from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
We are sorry for that , sometimes anarchy can cause that.
The police officer was so rude. He could not even say if filming was not allowed or not, just screaming and threatening without informing you regarding any illegality. I felt bad about it. Sorry for the bad encounter.
He acted like his level of education and maturity. It’s in Kirundi “kwihinguza”
It's TIA got get used to it

Politeness and helpfulness of the lady outweighs the negativity of the police so far. Being a good person is not hard. God bless her.
Man, everytime I feel down and out, watching one of your videos brings me so much happiness. Very inspirational Yves. So cool to hear you want to ride back to Europe through the West coast of Africa. Good luck my friend!
That Burundian Police officer acted very unprofessional he should've let you know what the law says about public filming. From Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪 I shout to him Bomboclant.

Hope Ndayishimiye is watching and will give this guy a position
he should be the leader of the country as he genuinely cares for his people and country!
They way everyone was still when two men talk brought tears to my eyes. That was beautiful.
Finally we see what’s going in the little introvert country of Burundi, their food seems yummy and fresh, and the hospitality of the lady in the liquor shop is outstanding, the police guy was so aggressive but that’s what every police around the world could do 😊
We are pulling for you Yves, to achieve your goals. Thank you for taking us along the way.
And for also promoting a positive image of Africa...as most YTer travel vloggers never come to Africa. And you are doing it on a bike...completely exposed to all of Africa. Bravo! Bravo! Thank you for your courage.
It is good to see that there are good people everywhere, and that majority of the world is good.
One of the best episodes, even with that policeman’s unnecessary antics or tantrum. Zhakaria, top guy. The lady at the bar, what a gem❤. The joy on people’s faces. It’s just authentic. My eyes were wetting
this was the best.
I think the other cop who asked Yves for papers went around the back and told his boss that there is a mzungu filming and they extort a few dollars from him but luckily the lady was at right place at the right time
That policeman 😏A big let down 👎🏾But the rest of the people in Burundi are so nice and very welcoming 🙂May God Bless 🇧🇮 May God Bless Africa .Following from the Africa’s capital 🇰🇪

Fun fact: African direct heat shower heads are actually just a live 250V wire in the water stream. If you feel electrical tingling, it means they couldnt be bothered to attach the ground wire to lead away the stray current. Some die, depends on the salt content and if anything you touch is grounded or not.
