The next video will be focused on Malware Analysts 🎉 lmk what other roles you’re interested in!
Hey great video! I first heard of Cyber Intelligence Analysts on your past video explaining a variety of roles in the field. I am almost finished getting my associates and watching you research other areas and explain so well what each role can expect has been very helpful for me. I enjoyed your suggestion of creating a blog about cyber information and keeping up with the most present news. When I decided to go for cyber security in school I was most drawn to the intense development of technology changing everyday. Growing up alongside the internet and the speed of advancement is incredible if not a little scary! To read, analyze, and transcribe these topics as a career never occurred to me. Thank you for your dedication to the channel and helping others!
Hey Fallon, thanks so much for watching and I’m glad these videos are helpful to you :)! Keeping up with hacker/exploit news really can be a full time job with so many things going on at once lol, let me know if there’s any other video topics that may be helpful to you! And Happy new year🥳
Very concise and informative, Sandra. Thank you for the information!
I've been thinking a lot about security roles lately. I see that cybersecurity professionals, specially those working in the intelligence field, are required highly valuable skills and specific personality traits such as a strong sense of ethics, which aren't easy to find. I'm currently reading Security Management from Asis International and I'm delighted by every thing regarding security and for the very first time in my life I feel like I found what I want to dedicate and invest my time into.
I deeply appreciate for all the information you provided and I'm very thankful for this, Sandra. I will happily remember this video as my first step into Cyber Intelligence.
Watching while exhausted at the end of the day lol. Like this one and I'm looking forward to the Malware Analysis one. Are you gonna talk about Assembly? :> hehe
Thank you! Will be watching!
Great Video!
Great video Sandra learned soo much! Thank You very much!!! 😃
Very well done beautiful lady!! This career series is really cool. Thank you!!
Thanks so much John! Glad this series is helpful for you 😁😆
Its an introvert job where your life is highly compartmentalized
what does that mean
Care to ellaborate?
Sounds lovely ❤
Happy new year! :D
Very informative video keep up the good work!
Thank you for watching Luca! :)
CTI is not for everybody. I am between CTI and IR; Intel Driven Incidence Responce (IDIR). I love both. You have to be a US Citizen if you want to work in the public sector, private sector just depends on the company. CTI is tons of reading, analytical thinking, and patience. It’s a fun and rewarding career, not for everybody though.
Thanks. It was helpful.
Thank you very much for your insight. This info is very helpful. What do you specifically specialize in Sandra?
may I know what cyber threat response analyst do in the job role, please guide me
Hi Sandra new subscriber here! My previous background was in art. I have a two degrees computer art related. Ive been thinking of switching to cybersecurty as a career change. At the moment financially I cannot afford to go through 4 years of schooling or bootcamp. Would it be best to learn a coding language and obtain a certification? Or would there be a better alternative I should choose?
Hey Justin, thanks so much for watching! There are these free online courses called MOOCs from many big universities that're free to join to learn fundamentals and add to your resume, any free certs you can get online would also be great on your resume (online courses/coursera/udemy/etc) and ofc learning a coding language like Python or something popular would be a great option. For cyber security skills, there's apps out there like Hackthebox and Tryhackme to practice hacking as a beginner, you can find beginner walkthroughs for all these challenges through google as well. Good luck Justin!!
@@WithSandra Thank you Sandra keep doing what your doing appreciate you!
Hi been watching your videos for a while and starting to get into cyber security more. Can you recommend any cyber security blogs and hacker news sites that would be good to start with?
how do i start this career field? Im currently in school cyber security is this the right route?
Hi can you please tell me what daily TI task or vulnerability management tool you use for managing action items
Do they have a boot camp for Cyber Intelligence Analysts?
I know this is an older video, but I was wondering if I'd be able to break into this job if I have 9, almost 10, years of experience doing All Source Intelligence for the military plus a Security+ cert? Thanks for all of the great videos!
I'm really on the fence right now, currently doing well on 3 different job interviews( juniors/entry); 2 of them is for a cybersecurity intelligence analyst(got military experience) and one is a SOC analyst(got a boot-camp cert) for an insurance company. I'm really stressed if I'll have to choose haha. I don't know which one could be better for career growth. It seems like an intelligence analyst is more short-term(maybe I could pivot to a project manager role in cybersecurity) while a SOC analyst is for the long-term in building my cybersecurity resume.
Tl;dr : What is even the career growth potential in cybersecurity intelligence compared to SOC analysts? Any thoughts?
Btw great video! :)
What did you do!?!
@@JanTheGamerr I chose going into Threat intelligence and haven't regretted a thing. Got a ton of growth within the company!
Already two years in, a senior analyst with plenty of experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, report writing and managing accounts worth $$$. I get the good of both worlds. However I may be rusty in some more technical aspects.
Plenty of opportunities to do other things, in contrast to being a SOC analyst which feels like being stuck inside a box (depends on the company) according to my SOC peers.
I really want to get in to the field but I jist dont know where to start. I already got a bachelor's so idk
Interesting do you have any favorite blogs
If you have a student email account you can qualify for a free Shodan account (advanced).
Hi Sandra...which country are you in at the moment
USA right
Yes, USA!
USA...is there any affordable university that offers Cybersecurity for masters program (international student) request
florida international university!!
WGU
Thanks so much for watching! These are both great options, I've heard great things about WGU specifically from another awesome InfoSec UA-camr (Josh Madakor). Bootcamps are also a great option if you aren't fully committed to a Masters program, good luck!!
@@azalxah thank you
