I have tried it several times exactly as you directed. Had such trouble that I finally started pressing the power button and the f11 button simultaneously. The time kept coming up in the lower left and a power on icon on the lower right and my fingers are sore from holding the f11 down. I did not want a password on this computer at the time I bought it but a relatives added that so it would be safe. Any further suggestions? I understand there is remote access in this new windows. I have loved that has granted me and getting through some issues through the years. Now I can't get the software downloaded cuz I can't get into my laptop. Can you help me? I will be happy to pay for the help. I am still housebound

I forgot my windows login password to get into my laptop. "F11-system recovery" pops up at the bottom. Then my laptop goes to a long black screen and the " system recovery" just goes away and it goes to the login screen. Can my power on pw set up be hindering this process to enter my BIOS?
I tried exactly what you said to do... Only at the REST THIS PC screen it says... Additional free space is needed on the drive where windows is installed. Free up space and try again. So what do I do now?
I was doing this, but it asked for a recovery key. And since I don't know it I just clicked skip this data, but when I did it wouldn't let me erase the password because I didn't have the recovery key.
