Will sound better is you hook up left and right. Because if there is a bass note only coming from the right side you’ll never know. Also use a bolt for the ground. How do I know this. I used to work car audio and was MECP certified.
Hey man so I have 2022 4th gen single cab v6 ram. I recently purchased 2 10” kenwood kfc-xw1000f along with a boss riot r1100m amp. I bought a cheapo loc from autozone and when I turn the volume up past 20 the right speakers go out, above 24 all four front speakers go out. I have to disconnect the negative on the battery to reset it. So I bought the jl audio loc 22. Hooked it up the same way you’ve hooked up this lc2i and can only can get power for about 45 seconds. I will say I have not connected to the speakers yet from the main head unit. I wanted to get power to the loc and amp first before messing with the wires. I’ve tried getting power from the amp, cigarette lighter, and directly from the battery but it only comes on briefly. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for the quick response. So I’ve essentially tried that already. I ran the remote wire to the cigarette lighter and spliced in there. I can only get power for about 30-45 seconds and only after removing the negative battery terminal and putting it back on. Only the. Will it power the loc and amp very briefly. My truck is also the base model 4th gen classic v6 6 speaker system. I also do not have an anc under my seat because it’s not the hemi or premium sound model.
I also currently have my subs disconnected and no power running to my amp yet my speakers are still losing sound when I turn the volume up past 20. Is this something you’ve ran into before? Maybe I just missed a simple step or sent the radio into some kinda safety mode by splicing into the wires?
With the 5th gen rams non amplified or factory sub, jus basic stereo can I jus use a lc2i pro do install a subwoofer and aftermarket amp? I see people always using a pac pro which I rather jus use a lc2i if possible. Thanks
@Khmer Ohio awesome, seen people always using a pac amp pro for the 5th gen rams didn't understand why they wouldn't jus use any other line out converter.
I’m having bit of a PROBLEM with mines I been fiddling with it for days trying to set it so my bass is kicking ssa BUT it’s not I feel like with out the LC and just the amp me messing with my bass & gains made the bass hit harder although “the lc made it much clearer CLEANING IT UP it’s hitting much lower” so I’m like WTF I’m trynna sound like a donk with my car slappin and seems like money wasted( I have kicker the red kind 1000 watt speaker each & 1200 watt amp) so I thought let me see what happens if I unplug one of the bass outputs as soon as I unplugged it boom bass hitting good real good but need just a lil more action plug it back in it gets dim again ? So now I’m riding with one plug in the bass output and max input ….. anyone can trouble shoot the problem.? Also the way I’m using it my bass knob does not work unless I plug them both back into output
I spent six hours overcomplicating this process today, thanks for the help.

Yes.
You can use Kisloc2 Kicker, which is much cheaper than lc2i
