Kavyakantha Vasistha Ganapati Muni is of the opinion that the word "vyasa"in Vyasa-bhashya is not name of aperson but means "in detail". He says that the Vyasa-bhashya is written by author of the sutras himself. After propounding Yoga-shastra in brief (sankshepa) in the form of sutras he himself wrote a detailed (vyasa) commentary on the sutras.
