    thanks for this demo! what a great build by great people! so much good ideas, like the level on the side that you forgot to mention.
    The time and place you chose to make this video. wind and high grass, unlevel terrain, all in fluo vests. I almost died when the little dog came from under the Jeep! Trailer covert in mud like it should. The running around with the camera to keep up! I saw myself giving an explanation when watching you. To much cool stuff to show, to little time! you can see the long nights thinking about solving problems en working out good ideas in the end result! After looking at a lot of other trailer reviews, this one put a smile on my face...
    Hope you and your family are still enjoying this trailer and each other! Greatings from Belgium.

    I like the fact that you can raise the tent once you get to where you want it to be. And with the tent lowered, to don't get the wind drag. Like I had with my tent on top of the jeep.

    Great build! Thanks for sharing. The tent and awning lift addresses the the problem of wanting a low center of gravity while traveling but needing a walk-under height at camp. That’s something I have been thinking about.

    Nice looking trailer, but need more work on drawers, that cooking area is way to high almost at your face if you level the trailer, and bed seems unstable whit that lifting system.
    Shower, fridge,bbq, gas tanks, tables are great. Perfect size trailer for a jeep. Enjoy.

    • @dcadventures2704
      @dcadventures2704  3 роки тому +1

      the drawers are fine when the trailer is leveled, the stove top is a bit high when cooking and the tent is very stable when the ladder is down and the three supports i mentioned in the video are installed.

      I made the drawers out of plywood with drawer slides from princes auto, the sink is just a amazon collapsible sink, used a table saw to dado the drawer box so the bottom would be good and sold then wood glue and brad nails to hold it together.

    You perhaps used the wrong drawer slides. Locking drawer slides, while a bit pricier are FAR better for a trailer. Other than that, this looks to be an amazing trailer set up... I was hoping to build a trailer in the next year or two (I still have a lot of mods I need to do for my Tacoma first) I may have to steel that scissor lift idea from you. The best design I had come up with so far used linear actuators and was a bit of a pain or making something like the old popup camper's lift arms. I would love to hear some follow up on how the lift system is working for you after a year of use.

    • @dcadventures2704
      @dcadventures2704  3 роки тому

      I toyed with the linear actuator idea but very expensive for the weight and stroke length i wanted. we have used this several times now and towed it many miles over rough trails and so far its holding together great,
