Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
    RV tours / walkthroughs
    Camping destinations
    Hiking
    RV modifications & DIYs
    RV Cooking
    And much more…..
So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.

I love that the kitchen is in the rear and I love that large fridge/freezer. I would just keep the coach as a single bed and not pull it out. I wonder if the front passenger seat swivels, it looks like there is a swivel below it. Take out the 2 passenger seats and it would be great for a solo traveler. With some modifications I could go for something like this. Thanks Ruby!

I think generally speaking there’s always a trade off in something of this size, the pop top is a good addition. Not so sure about the bed in the kitchen area as it leaves very little room. Probably a good starter RV if you are new to the lifestyle.

The bathroom is the size of the bathroom in a Boeing 737 but no air vent and this RV doesn't have the coziness like the other RVs because it's nice to have a proper sitting area with a table, but other than that as always a great presentation and very informative

I'm not a fan of a sink in the bathroom -- takes up WAY too much space for showering in an already small (be nature) Class B motor home. And such small sinks are mostly useless anyway.

My main problem right up front is the Swift is built by Jayco (same for these Pop-Tops built by Winnebago). Would like to see Pleasure-Way (P-W) build one. Or Leisure Van. Or one of the other (but few) quality RV makers. Yes, I know P-W already has a Pop-Top (their Tofino) but it doesn't have any bath/toilet like this Jayco and the Solis series (by Winnebago) do. So if P-W DID add that (somehow) to a Tofino, I'd personally lean towards their version of Class B Pop-Tops over Jayco's (& Winnebago's).
I don't know why RV makers continue to focus on producing RVs as fast as they can (and/or cutting costs like using cheaper materials and poor fit & finish) instead of getting the news that at least SOME customers are willing to pay more for a QUALITY-built product. And less warranty issues helps everyone: The customer, RV dealership service depts and the RV maker as well, as NO ONE want to deal with a sold but problem-riddled RV.
I guess most people don't care even IF they give "quality" a thought in the first place (probably not, most buyers seemed mesmerized by Eye Candy), so it keeps the "Mediocre Makers" (one level above the "Crap Makers") in business.
Well, P-W is still in business, Leisure Van also (that's at least 2 -- must be more though) so I guess QUALITY is still possible from a RV maker. As for Class As, it's said you have to get above $300-350K to see any quality in them. Sad...
On a side but related note (RV/motor-home prices), given the continued insanity in the housing market (high interest rates, increased home prices, inflation, lack of supply/too much demand, etc.), if that continues upward for several years, a $200-300K motor-home (Class A, B or C) will be looking pretty cheap...and may suddenly become "affordable" to a lot of us (giving up on home-owning). ;-)
I (for one) will be an "interested party" in that case...

Hello Bill, When I think of quality RV manufacturers I think of Airstream, Pleasure way, Midwest, Leisure way, Tiffin, and maybe Roadtrek. There are a couple other smaller manufacturers that do a good job as well. I also agree that as home prices continue to rise, 300-400K for a nice class A does not seem so bad anymore. Thanks for Watching!

Yeah, it seems a bath vent would be necessary. I would have added a ledge on the pop top to put a small ice water air conditioner up there to plug in. Mine works good at home next to my bed. Also I think they could make more use of the twin chairs area by putting in a pull out couch across from the sliding door, instead of the chairs, somehow making it a 5 sleeper van, with 5 seat belts. I wouldn’t worry about pulling out that bed in the back, too crowded. Can’t get late night snacks for everyone. That pantry should have shelves to be useful, or a bar for hanging clothes. I like the big fridge, pop up, large bathroom, induction stove and convection microwave. Those are the big pluses. An outdoor hot and cold shower would also be a plus!

Don't care for the layout. Too many small spaces (the roof AC would never make it to the front) and very limited storage (no place to put cables and hoses, etc.). Access to the plumbing must be under the bed, as it is in most Class Bs, but it would be a challenge with that bed design.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  Рік тому

Hello Craig, I agree that garage storage is basically non-existent and the AC placement is due to the pop-top. You are correct that under the bed contains the utilities but the bed does pivot up making it a bit easier to access. Thanks for Watching!

Out of all the vans you've reviewed this one is the worst. Absolutely cramped. Very poor design. Too much effort to pull out the bed and you had nowhere to stand when you where deploying it. Two people would feel cramped in that rig. Can't even make coffee if someone is in bed. Seems to be overkill with fridge. Rig that small doesn't need a fridge that big. To do anything in there you have to wait for the other person to get out of the way. The one good thing is the pop top. Also the outside (driver side) seemed a little busy. Too many gadgets on the side. Just more for someone to tamper with. As usual very good review. Stay safe👍.
