- ***SOLD!... I looked at well over fifty Murphy Labs before choosing this one because I am super picky about flame... this one has the wide wavy goodness I love!!!... Aging is very impressive and very convincing. And Im just as impressed with the tone and playability, these custom shop reissues have come a long way. 8lbs, 15oz.... UA-cam compresses the audio but hopefully you can hear the killer harmonics and tone of this one... Only reason Im selling is Im just not a honey burst guy, I prefer a deeper cherry burst. But damn this honey is so real looking!... Wish I had the bucks to keep this as well as a cherry burst!... Bought just two months ago, has the original aged case, and all case candy and COA book... More pix will be available shortly in a link here...

Spectacular guitar, fantastic tone, mean playing...kudos !
Great TONE in those hands of yours 👍
And sure, a Les Paul is always good to demonstrate tone 🤘
Damn, that Paul sounds good.
Yeah and they play as great as they sound! 🤘 The neck profile is a digital scan of the Carmelita burst. # 9 1953 Fits in your hand like a glove!
I have this same Murphy lab only mine is a late 2023 not a 24🤘Mine is the same golden poppy finish and heavy aged. It is the guitar in my profile picture. Gibson re-issues are so much closer now than the were just a few years back! The aging job is phenomenal! Very organic looking.
Sounds great.
Nice! I just got me a super light 8.4# 2024 Murphy lab ultra light aged r8 and it’s a beast as well. These TM aged reissues are just so resonant. Sustain for days. Congrats
Awesome my friend!! Just got a R8 Gold top/dark back from Music Zoo. Light-aged ML. Got a 2022 R9 VOS. I dig it, but want to try some of the new Light-aged ML like yours. They're all so good but can be so different. I've got to try my next R9 before I buy. Nice tone and playing buddy. You're doing very well indeed.
Looks and sounds great!
Golden Poppy Burst is the best colour. I got a ‘59 Washed Cherry 🍒.
Paying a couple thousand extra to have someone damage and scuff our guitars. We live in amazing times of great prosperity!

Would you rather I spend it on crack cocaine, alcohol, pot, or cigarettes? Which I don’t spend one penny on?
Is that stock? No mods right?
@@revelry1969 yup 100% stock.
@@EdA1 awesome!
How do you like the custom buckers?
@@jamesoconnor5154 so Gibson has come a long way with their humbuckers, and you can hear how good they sound. But I do have real PAFs in my 50s goldtop and I have PAF clones by ReWind electric and the custombuckers do still fall short. In terms of them being not quite as clear on the bottom end, and a bit more harsh on the top end. Again nothing horrible, I can play them and if I wasn’t comparing to anything else, they would sound great.
They have come a long way…. But agree still not right. I use Dingwall pickups. They beat most of my real PAFs. 😮
Dude, it's all cracked and super used! You need to ask for your money back.
Sounds and looks fantastic! What do you think of it compared to the Bartlett replicas?
@@RatherBeRiffing Well as far as aging this guitars is much more heavily aged than the Bartlett. So from that standpoint, it’s comparing two different things. Both guitars have natural checking and both look great. I’m not a luthier so I can’t attest to build quality, but they both appear to be well built, beautiful and feel great. Of course the Bartlett has old wood and Brazilian, but you can get lucky with some really great tone woods in these reissues as well. They all sound different. Some will sound better than others, this one sounds great!
Thanks. You certainly found a great sounding one!
