    1991 was the peak of DeMartini's powers - he kept getting better and better - it's a shame we didn't get more from him during this time period.

    On " BEHIND THE MUSIC" they talk about when Robbin had to go to Rehabilitation in 1991. Wasnt until 1994 that Juan got "the call" from the KING. Robbin told him then he was HIV positive. Juan said when Robbin left the band that was when RATT slowly imploded. That documentary was spot on. R.I.P KING Crosby.

      From memory the black one was a Performance Body and Neck and used it on the Detonator Album , I picked up a similar guitar back in 1992, slightly smaller body than the Charvel , nice wide slim neck , funny I stopped playing those 20 years ago and now back to them. Warren is totally ripping down n this show

    • @Robostomp
      @Robostomp 2 роки тому

      @@ShaneSG yeah, I had noticed that "Corsair" has somewhat of Dinky body and also had read about thin but wide neck 12-13 years ago. Fun fact that I had got a MIJ Charvel SDK-085 which kind of felt like DeMartini's guitar on the budget side and it was so comfortable to play with that 24.75" scale but the sound was pretty thin to cut through the mix in the band but maybe this was more of a sound chain issue, whatever. At some moment I sounded like Warren's copy, haha.
      I wonder for how much did you get that Corsair of yours because these Performance Guitars are pretty expensive as far as I know.

    • @ShaneSG
      @ShaneSG 2 роки тому

      @@Robostomp I ended up giving the guitar to a friend , I got it off a friend that was in a band called BB Steal at the time who got it over in the USA on one of their trips to do some showcase gigs before their album was released, I then ended up in that band when he left which was kinda strange but I was into my Gibson Les Paul vibe and offloaded what I would call the shredder guitars , some I wish today I kept , that Performance Partscaster , Kramer Nightswan , Mid 80’s ESP Horizon, late 70’s Hamer Standard Explorer and don’t laugh a Jackson one pickup Telecaster from memory serial number 0023 which was one of two of that shape made for the band Heaven at Grover’s workshop, I sold it for a tenth of its value today. The thing about the necks from that era is they are way to thin and wide and ok if you have your guitar up high. The last 80’s style superstrat I got off a mate living in LA was a Jackson Stratocaster style headstock maple neck that was taken on a guitar owned by Adrian Smith that was on a Koa Warmoth body that sounded great, had super size jumbo frets on it to try and make the neck feel thicker but it’s way to slim profile and sold it , though this time for 5 times more than I paid lol. I loved that late 80’s early 90’s period on the two trips I made to LA ( I live in Sydney Australia) as so many stores had so many great guitars at decent prices. I guess my head is still stuck in that era

    Ratt's last hurrah when they were firing on all cylinders (or at least 4/5ths of them) and people actually gave a damn about seeing them live. Now, Robbin's dead and Stephen's voice is shot to hell, so any "reunion" that might happen will be but a shadow of the band's former glory. They may have a snowball's chance in hell if Stephen hooks up with a vocal coach and gets his high range back. Otherwise, forget it.

      @@bryanmcfadden4071 Really? He can still hit all those high notes just like he used to in the 80's? What the hell are you smoking?

      Warren needs to come out of retirement, he is an ABSOLUTE LEGEND, the true sound and the soul of RATT. It's in his blood and his fans love him. One more time with original members and Carlos that lineup was great. Wishful thinking...........

    Wow. Love Warren here, but Stephen sounds terrible. I feel badly even saying that because I'm a fan. He doesn't sound good now in 2022, but I wouldn't expect him to at this point. But this was over 30 years ago. I guess I'm just surprised to hear this.

    All I can say is I love Michael Schenker but his playing didn’t fit, and I think he wanted to show Warren up, but it’s gotta fit the song Michael. As for Warren he wasn’t afraid of competition, it’s too bad Warren wasn’t able to battle in Lights Out, but as Steven said , playing Lights Out made it worth it. Too bad the vocals loudness wasn’t constant.

      RATT really started rolling in 84 when I was 16 in highschool still one of my favorite bands, Warren is a guitar god, absolute LEGEND. The true sound of RATT and the soul of the band, WARREN will go down in history someday as one of the best to ever play guitar.LEGEND...........

    This is really special footage, maybe the best ever shot of the band that I've seen! Is there any chance at all you could upload your original DVD somewhere? UA-cam degrades the quality so much that I'm still also hanging onto my generated VHS sourced copy and it's just such a shame to let this beautifully filmed show and time capsule phase out of existence. Please consider it, but either way thank you for sharing in the first place.
