First i didnt like how his moveset was altered but when you look at it from the lense of the reworked battle system, he can combo as good as anyone now.

I tend to compare Ruca with Karol, and while both use heavy blades, Ruca doesn't look anywhere near as clumsy as Karol does, which is more attractive to look at. Plus he gets double points for being an educated boy =03.
His magic is just as underwhelming as the DS version from the looks of it(and I'd assume that logic follows most of the others as well).

So sad his magic got increasingly nerfed. Would've made him perfect! They need to give him back Meteor Swarm.

"Increasingly nerfed." All he lost was meteor swarm and sharpness. Gained a few new artes and lost Kaenrekkuu. Not saying you, but people tend to exaggerate the losses in I.R.

Still, a loss is a loss. In the end, characters lost their spells to Kongwai (which honestly isn't bad) and others gained some, like Iria. Sort of wished he'd gotten some new spell, is all I mean. Though, his new physical artes are beastly!

Looks like they really ruined Luca in Vita version. His movepool and available spells were much better and he felt far less clumsy

@@RinKiriTales Hmm interesting, but too many physical moves and poor magic.
I would've liked it more if they didn't forced those two new characters in Vita version and just kept movesets as they were in DS version
