Happy birthday Laurie. This is also one of my favorites. Robin’s voice was so unique. I heard he was only 16 when he wrote this. Really miss him and Mo.
Franklyn, thank you from the bottom of my heart for my wonderful birthday gift. I've watched it several times already and each and every time I've taken delight in watching your reaction to this amazing Robin lead. Your facial expressions are just priceless and your commentary was wonderful. This is why I suggested this song for you to get to know Robin a little bit better. This is the Robin that stole my heart back in 1967 and he still has my heart today. ❤ Others have left you wonderful suggestions for future reactions that I hope you will eventually get to. There will never be another group as awesome as our Bee Gees and I can only hope that their legacy will live on for many generations to come. Again, Franklyn, thank you for making me so very happy today!
Happy Birthday my dear friend, Do you have any requests for my channel for your birthday? please let me know and I will make it happen. I know my videos aren't as pro as Franklyn's excellant ones, but I'd love to do something special for you. Love to you, always, and lots of hugs. 🎂🎂💝💝🍰🍰
Thank you so much for your kind birthday wishes, sweet Lindsey. If you revisit your "Idea" video I left you a comment explaining several things to you as well as two video requests on my wishlist I'd love for you to do when you get a chance. Love and hugs to you, sweet, sweet Lindsey! ❤️ 🥰 ❤️
The BeeGees were Australian, the British flag was in the background because they hosted this show, and it was a British Invasion show, I was there… taped in Burbank NBC studios. Back in college I would often go to Midnight Special tapings.
The Bee Gees were English, born on the Isle of Man. They, their sister and their parents emigrated to Australia when the boys were 10 and 7 years old with the baby Andy. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
@@lizz5235 the BeeGees considered themselves Australian. That’s where their career was launched. Same with AC/DC. Angus, Malcom and Bon were all born in Scotland but they are an Australian Band. Once again, the Union Jack in the background was because that show was a British Invasion show hosted by the BeeGees. (I know, I was there)
Love your reaction to this beautiful song. How sweet of you to do this for your followers birthday. You would enjoy their song I Surrender (promotional video) and Kiss of Life. ❤❤❤
Each brother special - Barry's distinct voice. Mo the harmoniser and musician. Robin, an absolutely unique, ethereal voice. He was called the Pavarotti of pop. Barry and Robin were the main lyricist/songwriting team and Maurice put the ideas to music. It's almost criminal that one family had that much talent. Such a terrible thing to lose Robin and Maurice so young . May I suggest some other Robin leads, his signature song "I started a joke" (One for all tour Melbourne 1989), "Juliet - Live in Berlin 1991" his solo #1, Country Lanes, When he's gone, Rings around the moon, Fallen angel. (Shared lead) "For whom the bell tolls (New York City video). Too many to list. Robin's last solo LP released after he died had beautiful songs which are not heard enough, like "Days of Wine and Roses", "Don't cry alone", "I am the world". Laurie is a lovely lady. Thank you for the birthday wishes!
You should hear his voice in Bodyguard, amazing! And also his cover of Oh, Darling from the Beatles. He sang it in the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band music and then it was released as a single. Outstanding performance.
Doesn't matter what decade...the Bee Gees were the best part of it! That show always insisted everything had to be ultra live...no backing tracks or anything. That's why they were invited back to host it so many times. Beautiful reaction 😊
Yes, those are also incredibly beautiful songs. It is great to watch them perform live on both of these. I love the reactions of the children in the Living Eyes video.
Thank you for your warm reaction for bee gees. Especially for Robin that songbird. I listened recently 2 songs which i didnt know and i found them very heartbreaking. One is Dearest together with Barry and the other is Sing slowly sisters. I cried in both of them. When you have time give a try. Thank you again.
Thank you for reacting one of my all-time favorites of the Bee Gees. Robin is also my favorite too! ❤ He had the most beautiful voice for ballads & R&B ! I just adore this song! Please react to: And the Sun Will Shine ( Robin leads in this song about a young boy who idolizes an unattainable love - please react to the Melbourne '74 live video) Alone (Barry & Robin share the lead - home movies in video) How Do you Mend a Broken Heart Nights on Broadway (Robin & Barry share the lead) Fallen Angel ( Robin is lead!) Love So Right (R&B) Embrace ( Robin is lead!) I Saw a New Morning ( Carson video) Love You Inside Out ( funky) Emotion ( with Samantha Sang) Rings Around the Moon ( Robin leads this haunting love song!) Juliet ( Robin leads - best audio imo is the Live in Berlin video) Bodyguard ( 90s Robin - so cute and shares lead with Barry)
I have had cancer for the last 15 years. Rings around the moon is my funeral song. Not being morbid lol I was given 3 months 15 years ago but that song says everything to my kids that I want to say❤
Beautiful song, but always makes me smile that this song is about when they were small children singing in a nightclub & had to share a dressing room with the strippers. Robin said every time he sang it, the memory would give him ‘a bit of a lift’. LOL
Sadly Barry is the only brother still living. Please react to their younger brother Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.
I got some more good ones for you to react to, Lynyrd Skynyrd "Freebird" "Simple man" Tom Jones "I'll never fall in love again" "Delilah" "It's not unusual" Righteous Brothers "Unchained melody" "You've lost that loving feeling" "Soul and inspiration"
Это ангел поёт.... Робин любовь моя ❤❤❤
Robin puts his whole heart into his music.
@@mjsinger1944 They all did.
Hearing this for the 1st time. I realized as much as I love The Bee Gees, there are so many songs i have not heard. Shame on me!
Yeah, it’s always like that, but it’s ok.
Robin's voice is so vulnerable and beautiful. Another amazing song from him is I Started a Joke.
I agree with you! Will look into your recommendation. Thank you😊
He also sounds fantastic singing "Massachusetts"
Another incredible song by Robin is
And The Sun Will Shine.
Agreed. They are very similar, but I always prefer "And The Sun Will Shine", it is so poetic.
Yes! Melbourne '74 live video
@@rwilson7197 Yes, my favorite version!!
@@rwilson7197 That concert has the best rendition of this song. Robin was feeling it that day.
No one sings like Robin.
Miss him.
❤❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷👍🤗✨✨✨👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏Essa banda é tudo de bom. Maravilhosos👏👏👏👏👏
Happy birthday Laurie. This is also one of my favorites. Robin’s voice was so unique. I heard he was only 16 when he wrote this. Really miss him and Mo.
Written with Barry, & I believe Robin was 17.

They were also incredibly funny as shown in the intros video. They all had an incredible sense of humor.
Incredible song.
