Assalamu alaikum!! I am from uzbekistan (bukhara) that's why I don't know a lot of imams that you can have as a guest. But you can call Suleiman Hani, Hassan Elwan, founders of miftaah institute (Waheed brothers), ustadh Majed Mahmoud, Farhan Abdul Azeez, Bilal Assad, Abu Bakr Zoud, Yahya Ibrahim ( however the last 3 are in Australia as far as I know))) But would love to see them all!! Btw doo want to see our brother, imam Tom Facchine in Quran 30 for 30, 2023🤩🤩
SubhanAllah❤️ May Allah swt elevate Imam Tom for such beneficial content. Sheikh Muhammad's depth of sensitivity to the needs of the ummah and commitment to the sunnah, subhanAllah are such a breath of fresh air to our starving souls, may Allah swt elevate and preserve him more in shaa Allah Aameen ❤️
18:19 sincerity isn't about doing what u like more but what is more pleasing to Allah 39:13 those who care the most listen the best It's not abt how good you are but how much you want it The realm of excusable difference
The collab we never knew we needed until it happened. MashaAllah! On an unrelated note: as a professional videographer, I really appreciate the way this set up is lit and framed! I think the time and effort we take to create a visually compelling atmosphere in video only adds to the deeply, insightful conversation to take place. I love where our ummah is headed, nurturing the visual arts to bring Islam to everyone. May Allah SWT bless these efforts. Ameen.
Asalamu alaikum Imam Tom, alhamdulilah your lectures have been so beneficial in re-orienting my worldview and keeping me in remembrance of Allah, especially as someone living in America who had identified as culturally Muslim and was effectively agnostic for last 10 years, your perspective is invaluable. Inshallah this message reaches you, I was hoping you could interview Sheikh Umar Ibrahim Vadillo for a future imam talk. I feel like you both came from a background critical of the prevailing western worldview prior to converting to Islam (in his youth Vadillo had been an anarchist which is something you had mentioned exploring in the past as well), also Vadillo has some interesting criticisms of global financial system and solutions from an Islamic perspective which is something you don’t hear often. Anyways, I think the conversation would be interesting for those reasons and also because he mentions “real Sufism” which was surprising to me because he didn’t fit the conception of a Sufi I had in my mind, also I don’t even know what “real Sufism” means and I’m curious to explore that and how you would respond to it. Jazak Allahu Khair.
One bad part about being an imam is that you can't make friends anymore. People will like you and want to be at your service if you need anything, but you cannot really be yourself around them like you can with a childhood friend. They look to you for anchorage, so if you stop being the preacher for a few minutes, it scares them. The "real you" is forced to retreat from public view so much so that people don't even know who you really are behind the preacher. Then you lose confidence in your own ikhlaas when you realize that you're putting on an "act" whenever you leave your house. If I attend a masjid for long enough that people start calling me "sheikh", I switch masjids and go to where I can disappear and be like everyone else. I can still have an influence anonymously on social media, which is not as effective, but I prefer that over handing myself over for the slaughter. May Allaah SWT bless and protect our imams because I can't do what they do.
This is the first thing one of my mentors told me. He said, "from now on, you don't get to have friends. You have followers." It sounded crazy ad first, but it's true like you said. -Imam Tom
As salamu alaikum my dear Imam, Do you know of a young brother Mohammad (aka.Tru inspo)? Allah (swt) recently brought him to my attention, I am desperately trying to learn to read and recite Quran, and I would like to see you talk with him. InshaAllah

Great conversation.
80/ of Muslims never go to masjid i think is not accurate because over majority of women don’t go for different religious reasons
Allah used your Aqika gift as a means to help forgive sins and reward parents who cared for their children. So it was a kind of a win win 😂😬
