10x i am pretty much convinced to give it a chance for a beater guitar! have a great day!
Allright Mark. Waiting on my delivery today. Couldn't get the model I really wanted. St 62 in black. Was delighted with my te20. Frets ok but scratchy. Awesome for the price.
The TE-20 continues to impress me Rick, I think I'm going to buy another one. So what are you waiting on getting delivered?
@@stookiebhoy st62 in black
@@rickohara1721 Sorry I thought you meant you couldn't get that one. So which one was it you really wanted?
I have a Fender strat from 1979, think you HB sounds better than mine
The Roswell pickups are far too hot and brittle for my liking on a Strat style guitar, lacking the mellowness that the best single coils give. For the price though they are acceptable for those who like to rock hard and match the grunt of a lot of humbuckers.
John that's just how I have the patch set up on the Helix, the Roswell pickups are lower output that my Fat 50's or the new Tim Shaw pickups, that's why I had to adjust the height to get some parity on the patch. I set my patches up the same as my amp so that it's right on the point of break up, then use my volume and tone controls to shape my sound. What you're hearing here is everything on 10, hence why it sounds hotter, but I can guarantee it's not.
If I were keeping the guitar I would just change the pickguard and everything on it for a set of Custom '69's or something, but that's personal preference.
Hey Mark wanted to know how the tremolo is and how these stand up in distorted tones
The tremolo is fine provided it's set up properly. If you go onto TikTok and look up my page @markryanmusic you can hear me doing Comfortably Numb with this guitar. This will give you an idea of what it sounds like with a bit of overdrive on it. Hope this helps
Are you gigging regularly Mark?
Do you gig any of the HB guitars?
Also...has this guitar got a big-block trem?
Some seem to...and others not.
Christo Guichard I do 4 or 5 gigs a week usually Christo but God knows what’s going to happen when we get back playing after this virus, just need to wait and see. I used to take the TE-20 with me all the time and it was great. It’s not a big block trem in this although it’s not short on sustain since I’ve set it up. It’s honestly a really great guitar and for that kind of money it’s ridiculously good, you’re going to love it

Thanks Mark...appreciate it 😊
@@christoguichard4311 You're welcome, any time
How's the neck compared to the TE-20?
It's a bit chunkier than the TE-20 Kevin but very comfortable even for someone with small hands. And I have to admit it feels beautiful in your hand
