As an brazillian engineer and professor, I can say that Embraer is one of few things that can make the brazillian engineering proud of, they are incredible. In Brazil, the commercial flights are made by mostly Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and Embraer 195, the Embraer is by far the most comfortable to fly.
I'm Canadian and get bored of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. Good planes but so common that its just boring now. One of our airlines, Porter, invested in the E2 and already has 30 planes flying between larger cities, complementing Porter's Canadian-built De Havilland Canada (or Bombardier) Q400 fleet, which is an incredible workhorse as well. While the Q400 handles many flights from Toronto Island airport (incredible view on takeoff of the city), E195-E2 handles more and more Toronto Pearson flights to and from other Canadian cities, among others.
I'm very proud. I live a few minutes from Embraer here in Brazil, for me seeing that so many of my friends and family work there and knowing that the company is getting better and better is amazing. 🎉

Let's get down to business. Embraer is a small company compared to the giants Boeing and Airbus, supported by their governments. Despite the competition, it continues to manufacture state-of-the-art, technological and economical aircraft. We know that large companies offer much more than their products , they offer financing since many have governments that support operations, political influence and much more to make them buy their products, (even if they are not the best or most reliable), which is a small company cannot offer. But Embraer continues its path, selling its great products, climbing one step at a time.

It depends. EMBRAER have jets that have roomy interiors, and by that it means that they don't want to fight "mano a mano" against the big ones (Boeing and Airbus), because it's another type of "fight". But... BUT... Boeing is facing big troubles with the Max Series, and... Airbus doesn't have enough room to increase the production of its own jets to face the demand that isn't being feed by Max Series. When one of the "big ones" starts to show a weakness, and the other big one can't face the increase of demand, this creates a room for a third company... And now EMBRAER have to think if it's time to grow and face the challenge, or... else.
@@_Bruno_Cesar_ Embraer didn't take that long to develop the E-Jets and they were an entirely new design. They are able to design a clean sheet design in 5 years or so and even there get it right.
Embraer would run a huge risk of not selling if it produces larger planes, as Boeing and Airbus dominate this airline. This could lead the company to bankruptcy.
As a Brazilian living in Canada, be proud! Bombardier is also cool af (even tho their TTC trains are kinda wack sometimes compared to the Hyundai ones found in Brasil)
Bombardier fell under hard times but their accomplishments are still well recognized globally even in Canada. Oh, and without Bombardier the Airbus A220 wouldn't exist, which is a new favorite in the industry for passengers and pilots and fully Bombardier-designed.
In Europe it really is as they say. Railways are very well connected and are getting faster, making many short-haul flights unnecessary. Flights, for example, from Berlin to Warsaw or Frankfurt make little sense. The train goes just as fast on this route and is much more comfortable and allows you to work, sleep or stretch your legs in peace. The price is also the same.
@@r.guerreiro140 I would say the train is a bit pricy. It depends on when you buy the tickets. The regular price on my trip was around 100euro by Train and 130euro by plain. Yeah, and it really depends on geography of the country or area. Embraer is a very good company and the E2 variants of the EJet line are very good aircraft. The 175 was cancelled because it is too heavy for the US regional market not for “undisclosed reasons”. The entire E2 line is range challenged relative to the A220. All manufacturers can be accused of making performance claims about their aircraft under ideal conditions and also making apples to oranges comparisons to other aircraft that may not be apparent to the general public. I think you may have fallen into that trap.
Nice to see a challenger for the Boeing and Airbus. I hope the Brazilian company increase the level of localization so that the Americans and Europeans don't try to harm it.
When the Boeing - Embraer merger was blocked, I thought that would hurt in the long term Embraer. In hindsight... boy, was I wrong... Hard to imagine how hard Boeing has fallen.
Is gaining? The Embraer has been a player for years. Just the right size. Such smooth rides. I imagine they are economical as well. I hate flying, but when I find out my flight is on an Embraer, I calm down a lot. I trust this company and their products.
Embraer is a major player in the regional jet market. Also, look for major impact from the new Russian intercontinental passenger jet which has been designed ex novo.
I thought that Brazilians were good in football and carnaval, but, lately they were dominated the aviation and, green hydrogen, food commodities, petroleum .....omg, the Brazilians will gonna to dominate the world??!!😱
Few know except brazilians, that it was the Brazilian Alberto Santos Dumont, and not the Wright brothers, who invented the first plane heavier than air and with its own propulsion. The feat took place at the Campo de Bagatelle, in Paris, on October 23, 1906.
This video has too much flash and movements for the eyes! If the aim of the video is to inform about the E2, then the technique used in displaying the video interfere with that aim.
How could you compare the old Boeing 717 (basically a slightly better version of an old MD80) with a brand new and futuristic A220? Btw great insights on the Embraer E2 family!
The A220 is seen as the 717's eventual replacement, at least at Delta Airlines. Qantas is also replacing the 717 with the A220, wonder if Hawaiian will do the same in the future.
"undisclosed reasons"!? Dude you really don't know your facts. It's common knowledge Embraer has halted E2-175 production, because it's too heavy for the US scope clause, and US operators are going to be the primary customer. Also you're naive if you think "regulations" are going to cause airlines to spend tens of millions on new planes, they won't. They'll simply pass the increased costs onto you the consumer.
Didn’t Boeing have some underhand business dealings with Embraer regarding this product. I can’t recall the exact details but Boeing somehow left Embraer in the lurch.

@@ivanpetro8464 Sorry to break your heart I am Brazilian from Sao Paulo living in Chicago and know where Ipanema and all other places in Brazil and rest of the world are, thanks for your tip!
Sorry to tell you but Embraer isn't anywhere Rio de Janeiro.
@@MrCaiobrz Eu sei, veja meu comentario em cima!
Creep
Yes, i am Brazilian and have to be patriot so BRASILLSILSIL🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Embraer is the proud, the jewel of the crown of BRAZIL
When the Boeing - Embraer merger was blocked, I thought that would hurt in the long term Embraer.
In hindsight... boy, was I wrong... Hard to imagine how hard Boeing has fallen.
Embraer The King of short and windy runways
Embraer will still be the biggest in the world! Proud of Brazil!!!
superb plane....
awesome article,, aviation is big, and has a lot to offer.. this E 2 is outstanding.
GO BRAZIL! I love Embraer and Alberto Santos Dumont legacy!
Embraer, o melhores aviões!
I've liked the smaller Embraer jets used by Alaska Airlines. They feel like classic planes; it's not the prison bus experience of most modern flying.
I think They should make wide body aircrafts
felicitaciones a nuestros hermanos brasileños por liderar la aviación sudamericana!
Brazil develops and dominates lots of sensible and strategic technologies, but the midia only care about carnival
Obrigado amigo por reconhecer isso tudo.❤
Not, only South América.
We need to fight against and win political corruption, a cancer that brakes our development. God will helps us on this purpose. 🙏🙏🙂
Currently signing a contract to fly for Republic Airways. Our entire fleet is the E-170. Love this airliner!
Interesting fact. The first Brazilian airplane also flew in Paris in the year 1906.
I like E jets but this past weekend I was on A220 and I was amazed with that platform
Competition is always good; it will bring on sales with capabilities, price and availability (lead times).
We were the launch customer for the EMB-145. The company produces a great airplane. Boeing better take note….
They (and the older versions) are the backbone of KLM Cityhoppers. Quite a beloved product here in Europe!
This video has too much flash and movements for the eyes! If the aim of the video is to inform about the E2, then the technique used in displaying the video interfere with that aim.
All AirFrance domestic flights are Embraer ❤
I love Embraer and the fact that there is no middle seat.
The world is so focused on Boeing vs Airbus that they forget about other masterpieces like embraer
Way to go Brazil!
How could you compare the old Boeing 717 (basically a slightly better version of an old MD80) with a brand new and futuristic A220? Btw great insights on the Embraer E2 family!
The A220 is seen as the 717's eventual replacement, at least at Delta Airlines. Qantas is also replacing the 717 with the A220, wonder if Hawaiian will do the same in the future.
thank you Ozires Silva
Good for Embraer and the entire world. Competition is good.
A report released this week by Morgan Stanley consolidates a transformation in the market's view and is sending stocks soaring.
They try buy us. But they turn back when Embraer find Boing dont have the Money, the businessman here end the negociate and now move a process against Boing.
They will take the Mitsubishi Spacejet development in Japan.
Brasil, apesar de todos seus problemas, você é um país com um potencial imenso.
Embraer is great.
So how do these support the carriers? The clause says that the regional carriers cannot exceed 86k lbs or 76 pax. What mainline is/has ordered the E2?
Airbus has a 8 year wait. Boeing has 6-7 year wait time. These long wait times will make Embraer a good option.
The only planes without current groundings
It has the same engine as the A220, and that engine has been showing troubles that grounded a few A220's, neither the fault of the plane manufacturers though.
And there is more: EMBRAER is building fly cars for commercial purpose. 😎
Perfectly good, modern aircraft, within their niche. But in case anybody doesn't realize: this is a 10 minute _ad._
I am a fan of airbus however these are truly some of the best planes in the sky and I would like to see them taking Boeings place in the sky. Good luck embraer
American Airlines ordered the 175, but not the E2 version like you said. That would go against the airline's contractual "scope" clause
The E2 Series is awesome. As is the A220 / C-Series. Good to have some great choices in the regional jet market.
Ja voei em um E195. E gostei muito. Orgulho nacional 🇧🇷
Do you have any idea if Embraer will use these new platforms to build private and Biz jets??
Investi na Embraer e já 400% de valorização depois que a Boeing caiu fora
Executive jets still need to be accounted for.
✌🏻👏🏻
PW 1900G is a fuel efficient but troublesome engine
I’d rather go on foot than fly in a Chinese or Russian made airplane, I only trust Embraer and Airbus, Boeing is getting me very worried.
Yeah they are being replaced by either Mitsubishi or Honda.
2:48 did they just do a, "Flashdance"? Dousing the sexy plane with water in front of an audience?? Lol
Now I'll have to fly twice as far? That's not saving fuel... Lol
This is an amazing aircraft, what a crazy heading to put. Like all the other aircraft it has its place. 🇿🇦
The 2+2 configuration is the best in the business. Much better than the 3+3 of Boeing and Airbus.
Que orgulho da EMBRAER 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️
1:17 tailstrike angle testing? What is going on in that clip?
Just a hard thinking thought: by looking at some videos it seems like some material is added to make have a steeper depart angle.
Great!!! Congratulations!!
The best part about these planes, is the doors remain attached to the plane during flight.
Hey man, in 3:10 you showed the wrong picture of a 717-200
Based on Boeings latest criminal behavior Embraer might move into second place.
Ótimo vídeo!
What’s the “tassel” on the tail for?
qual a proporção valores importados/exportados sobre um produto da Embraer?
Heres a DARE
FIRST GO INTO YOUR HOUSE AND GET YOUR SKATEBOARD

4:20 just a small addendum to that.
Brasil Is both the largest biofuel producer and Importer, by law here everycar needs to be capable of running on biofuel and also by law you can't buy pure gas, only diesel, biofuel or a gas-biofuel mixture.
So It Is only natural we would be In the forefront of susteinable aviation fuel.
