Thank you Bob and Jenny. Really enjoyed this review. Honest and interesting. This model is at the top of our list for a new van and so we have noted all the tips you’ve left on here. Thanks again- we really enjoyed your Scotland trip too 👍
I've enjoyed this review Bob and Jenny, thank you.Just a note on the front blind (although they may have changed them now)It looks like you could move the sun visors down to block the light from the top gap at a push (from what I could make out but it's not ideal).Looking forward to your next adventure.
Another excellent video. One oof the most genuine and detailed motorhome reviews I have seen on UA-cam. In regard to your comments about whether to keep your C1 licence I would suggest considering how much payload you need before making any decisions. On our way back from our 19 day trip to Scotland I put our Malibu Campervan over the weigh bridge in Leyland and just manage to scrape in under the 3.5 tonne weight limit with 40kg to spare. We had a full tank of fuel and the water tank was approximately half full but we had very little food on board. Bearing in mind that we have approximately 100kg more payload than with the Adamo and judging by your video we carry quite a bit less than you it may be something you would want to consider.
Thanks Bob and Jenny for this interesting review. Jenny's comments about issues with raised beds echo my wife's own concerns. Some beds are too high and you bash heads on the roof and some steps are odd heights. We looked at a Bailey 75-2 on the weekend; very nice. Seemed quite spacious and Bailey have done a good job making use of it all. Thanks again.
I have been looking forward to seeing the review on this motorhome, Poppy was like oh Dad what are you doing 🙂 The water filling is a bit of a worry with all the electrical wires,
A comprehensive review as usual. Just a note to advise that having recently changed our MH to an Adamo 69-4 that a Remis blind is fitted to the windscreen as well as the cab side windows.
Great review Bob and Jenny. It was interesting to see how you got on with this van, as its currently our favourite to upgrade to in the next couple of years. Hoping we get a chance to have a look around one in the flesh, so to speak, to see if the space works for us. Hopefully they dont all come with the built in squeaking that you've experienced 😂
Excellent honest review. Just a couple of points. If you don't need the table and can get away with a tray its better to take the table and leg complete out. It leaves a much bigger lounge area. When it comes to the fridge. I heard you say the bottle storage in the door is not good. The bottom slide out part is actually a bottle storage. It takes 9 bottles and/or veg storage. One good point with the fridge is it copes well with hot weather. We live in spain and are out all yr. We set the fridge on number 3 and if the day temperture goes above 25c turn it up to 4. Then switch back to 3 at night. These tips may be useful.
Hi Bob,Jenny and Poppy, really enjoyed your review, very thorough. Made me smile when you were moving the driving seat about and Poppy being annoyed he he , I think the table would annoy us a little as like you say its a little large for the seating area. The tv is very high no wonder you get a creak in your neck. The bedroom though looks ideal nice beds and easy to get onto, liked the little cupboards in the middle. Where has the 3 weeks gone too. You will soon be on your travels again. Take care x Julie and Tony x
Thanks again for such a detailed review. We are thinking of buying one of these but as you say, that toilet step is awkward. Some great bits too, the twin beds and low steps. I am also short in the height department. Keep up the good work.
Brilliant review as ever Bob, they are really lovely vans, had a good look around one at Kimberley caravans in Darlington ( near me ) very impressed with them, if we were after a motorhome i would certainly consider buying one of these. Debz loves the idea of the worktop on the oven top, something she will be asking Scot at Consort to look into and see if it will be possible to do on there vans, as she has heard stories of people dropping things on the top and it smashing ! All the best to you and Jenny and Poppy, Trev Debz and Tyler
Thanks, Bob, Jenny & Poppy, another good Vlog. We looked at this van but went with an Eldis Encore 285 in the end as we felt it was more open. Can I ask how tou got on with the Avtex telly and sound bar? We need a new TV, not sure there worth the extra money. Thanks.
Our Hatch collapsed again when we were leaving Hermanfest 😮 We had a look and found the screws on the remaining Bailey support went about 2 mm in! Went into Cirencester and picked up longer ones which will hopefully last till we get home!😂 Enjoy the IOW. Phil and Helen
@@BobEarnshawMoHo still waiting for missing part from Bailey to arrive at Campbells! Thanks for trying to find a spare Ecoflow lead for us.😀We are on serviced pitches for the rest of our tour.😄
Great review bob and Jenny i just think the Ford looks dated from the outside does not look nice but thats my opinion some nice features with the van and some not so nice keep up the good work
good thorough review Bob I must admit that I do prefer the Ford cab to the Fiat/Peugeot One as we have both as vans in my work and I prefer driving the Ford ref the blinds we have a Baily Caravan and the blinds are the same IE feel tight when opening and closing them.
If you get a smaller van you probably won't need to tow a car. I didn't bother keeping the C1 when I was 70 but it is a personal decision. Good review.
Pity there's no outside shower in the garage because with the drainage you could put one of those little twin tub washers in there and wash the clothes from the bedroom as you take them off and hang them in the shower
They do seem to have given a great deal of thought to the van. I love it but him indoors isn’t keen on any sort of fixed beds. I hate making up ours in the lounge. But he’s the driver so need to keep him sweet. 😃😃
It was always me who made the make up bed. Jenny would go and brush her teeth and come back saying 'oh you've made the bed', like it was an automatic bed. 😁
That what I thought originally. The Adamo can tow up to 1000kg, if plated at 3500kg MTPLM. Mike Northeast of Tow A Frame says that in case of any incident what the police will look at is the towed car's Mass In Service figure, which is on the V5. Now the VW Up MIS is 928kg, so I could tow our Up with an Adamo. The Mass in service is the weight of the vehicle plus 75kg for a driver, which obviously it won't have when being towed. Now previously I thought the towed car's MAM is what was used, but common sense says it's going to be nowhere near that weight.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Bob the one I looked at was plated to 3500 kg but the trainweight on the vin in the gas locker showed 0 kg which indicates it can't tow as the law states No trainweight No tow ? Also I can't see any reference to towing limits in the tech spec .
I think I've confused the towing capacity of the Adamo with the Autotrail F Line. Bailey quote a Gross Train Weight of 4250kg for the Adamo, which is only 750kg towing capacity!
@BobEarnshawMoHo this was an Adamo 69 something. Only a 3500 and the literature said you couldn't tow with it and the plate confirmed 0 towing weight. Shame as it's a lovely motorhome.
good well done Bob n Jenny re the toilet floor why not make the raised floor fit across the entire floor then there could be a small storage below even a secret area for valuables, just a thought bye, Stan
What a palaver with the forward facing seats. With a gwneras onternal width you can't beat a side 4 seat dinette with a table set up belted seats and a clear gangway and settee opposite. There's no setting up. Lots of coachbuilts had this layout decades ago. Cheers.
There are layouts to suit all people, we just don't need permanent travel seats with just two of us, and I would say if the Adamo was ours, we'd hardly use these travel seats, just handy to have just in case.
Nice van, but ooh that's a nightmare that front windscreen blind isn't it. X See what you mean about the table, nice that it swivels ect but yeah very tight... & Ooh Jenny that TV is high up isn't it. X Shame about that step in the shower, otherwise that would be a generous space, & oh dear again one if them funny angle toilet steps where you can't put your feet properly... Bedroom is lovely though x
Excellent review but i cant hep thinking the 3.5t weight limit gives these vans a shorter "shelf life" It must affect the build quality to some extent when they have to get under that weight and also provide even the tiny payload this one does . It will be a relief to everyone when they finally get rid of the silly 3.5 t limit for younger drivers and manufacturers can add a bit of " heft" to the interiors of these vehicles again !!
Thank you very much, Jenny and Bob, very comprehensive review.
You're welcome

Yes, it is a concern, how little payload it has. However a full tank of fuel could weigh 90kg, and half a fresh water tank water up to another 45kg.
We love how thorough you are with your reviews. Poppy looked worn out by it all!
We were too!

Great review. Echoes a lot of what we have found with our 75-4 DL. The Transit Auto is a true pleasure to drive.
It sure is!
Great review Bob and Jenny.
A comprehensive review as usual. Just a note to advise that having recently changed our MH to an Adamo 69-4 that a Remis blind is fitted to the windscreen as well as the cab side windows.
Yes, I'm sure that blind was temporary.

The squeaking is mainly to do with the toilet door, other than that it was fairly quiet the road.

Yes the fridge is a good one, we tended to fill the bottom part with food as we had the extra fridge in the garage
Really enjoyed that. Little Poppy is gorgeous.
Happy Birthday Bob 🎁🍰🍺

Yes, that top does create some extra preparation space.
Thanks, Bob, Jenny & Poppy, another good Vlog.

I think the previous Avtex had a better picture and sound. The soundbar certainly helps the sound though.

The Transit cab does draw mixed opinions. It's a bit American looking, I quite like it. Thanks.
Would recommend Campbells at Preston to get your new van from! 😂 😊They have been great sorting out the snagging on both of our Adamo’s.
That's good to hear. Our previous experience with them wasn't so good, but it was nearly 9 years ago.

ref the blinds we have a Baily Caravan and the blinds are the same IE feel tight when opening and closing them.
Yes, I prefer the Ford cab too. The Fiat seems more agricultural. Maybe the newer Fiats are better.
Great video, thanks! The rear mirror camera - is that colour or black and white? It looked the latter to me. Not a problem, just curious.
It is colour, but I couldn't get it adjusted correctly, always seemed to look washed out.
If you get a smaller van you probably won't need to tow a car. I didn't bother keeping the C1 when I was 70 but it is a personal decision. Good review.
Thanks, quite possibly not, but it is very useful to be able to tow our car with us.

I'm it could be plumbed in there.

Hatch😂 We had our repair done at Campbells last month!😮
Good to hear that, it's a poor design that hatch.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo We have a piece missing from ours😩We mentioned it to the design team at the NEC in February.
I like it very much but I need to be able to tow a toad so it's a shame as I believe I read they can't tow ?

@kimdeabill8540 yes, the first series Adamos couldn't tow anything. The second series are 750kg towing capacity.
Nice review, not perfect with the washroom area, I'd be tempted to put a plinth in the toilet to level it out.
Bet Poppy was thinking ive seen it all before😂
Certainly seen two other Adams!
No carpet in the front as standard, just bought one for £65.00
44% to 100% know the feeling!😂😂
Same on ours!
good well done Bob n Jenny re the toilet floor why not make the raised floor fit across the entire floor then there could be a small storage below even a secret area for valuables, just a thought bye, Stan
Yes, that's what I thought they could do. They'd have to adjust the height of the sink but yes.

I assume it's not a standard fitment
Think I am looking at a smaller van despite 3 Papillons
A very nice van but too long for my drive though.
The heating system suffers from a lack of outlets
Is that what you found? We were using it in the summer.
We just changed over from a caravan, so not sure what to expect. Your review was the most honest we watched.

Thanks, yes you are right, then tend to use shorter screws, thinner wood, more plastic then metal all to get under that 3500kg limit.
